Another Piece Of Good Fortune For The Bucs

November 4th, 2021

Won’t return this season.

Somehow, someway, Joe recently suggested a player on a rival team unavailable because of injury will help the Bucs, and haters have somehow twisted those words (in their demented, twisted minds) to mean Joe is celebrating dudes getting injured.

In the immortal saying of the late, great Steve Duemig, “BULLS(P)IT!”

Along those lines, the Bucs got good news yesterday from some bad news for the slimy Saints.

It appears that all-world receiver Michael Thomas will not return this season as his surgically-repaired ankle is not healing properly.

So the Saints are down both their starting quarterback and star receiver. That means the slimy Saints will have a tougher road to travel to outlast the Bucs in the race for the NFC South title and a home playoff game.

While Joe is still doing a slow burn over the Bucs losing to that stiff Trevor Siemian last Sunday, Joe thinks the next time the two teams face each other on “Sunday Night Football” in December will be a different animal.

And perhaps the Bucs will gain some separation in the division title chase by then.

Good fortune has arrive …..Bucs will sign just release Vernon Hargreaves

  2. Sport Says:

Adrnagy – getting cut from the Texans…talk about down and out…Yowza

Big Dog reference! I miss the late great Chris Thomas and of course Cletus as well.

    In BA I Trust!

  3. Larry Says:

Although it may be cruel, an opponents bad luck is another’s good luck. The Bucs have been beat up and no one cried for them. That’s just the luck of the draw. No one wants to see another player hurt but you can’t worry abut if if it does. That’s just sports, especially football.

  4. Mike C Says:

Exactly, we have had our fair share of injuries.

  5. kyle Says:

Joe? Why are you no longer partnered with wdae? Always loved hearing big dog grill izbit..lol Where did Jenna Laine go?? she’s definitely loved around here!!

[Kyle: Joe misses the Big Dog too and the weekly shows. iHeart decided (for reasons still unclear) they preferred to partner with a lesser entity. That’s OK. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles in the business world. Sometimes the sun shines on you, sometimes it shines on a dog’s @ss. In the process, Joe has found it more profitable to branch out with podcasts, with a much wider reach than any radio show can provide. Joe cannot speak for Jenna as to why she does/does not do local radio hits. Joe pretty much exclusively listens to podcasts and SiriusXM and is really out of the loop as to what may be going on in local radio. Thanks for the kind words! — Joe]

  6. Medicated Pete Says:

Nope, you jinxed the Bucs again by hoping injuries help us win. Sean Payton owns the Bucs regardless. Bruce’s team will have another 15 penalties

  7. Medicated Pete Says:

Pete knows one of his ex wives & he was a drunken alcoholic & gambling degenerate who verbally abused her….BUT JOEBUCSFAN loves him lolololool

  8. Patrianakos Says:

The bottom line has not changed. The winner of the Bucs – Saints rematch wins the division.
That said, we still gotta play the games.
“My second favorite team is whoever is playing New Orleans.”

  9. Bird Says:

In all fairness …i think adr was being sarcastic/ joking
I mean he would have too be right?
Hargreaves was good…hmmmmhmmm good and terrible

Oh and jbf readers ^^^ doesnt medicate pete look more and more like tmaxacon every day. And he posts first in most articles just like ( tmax wears a thong ) use too . Just saying.

We have so many namechangers here. Cowards. Own up to your comments. Just like the old messiah cult members who come back from time to time w different names to say bucs suck or brady sucks. 😂

  10. Beeej Says:

Used to love listening to Brantley and (can’t remember who his partner was) when I still lived down there. Was sad to read of his current status

  11. Razor Ramone Says:

Brantley’s partner was Deumig. At one point we had Tony Bruno, Chris Thomas and The Big Dog….. Pretty good!

  12. Eddie Marz Says:

Doesn’t mean anything if we can’t beat The Saints! GO BUCS!

  13. unbelievable Says:

    Who cares?

We can’t beat the Saints even when Thomas and Winston don’t play…

    Paper champions.

I AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT COMPLETELY

  15. PassingThru Says:

*shrug* Thomas didn’t suit up and the Bucs still lost.

Agree with unbelievable. The freaking defense couldn’t stop them even when they rolled out their third string QB.

  16. Jerry Says:

6 straight regular season losses to the Saints. It doesn’t seem to matter who on that team is injured. We can’t beat that team.

Brady is also 2-4 against them all time. One of the few teams he’s in the hole on.

  17. View from 132 Says:

Another vote for “Who cares…” from another Buc fan still mad at an unforgivable loss to a mediocre team with a 3rd string QB.

  18. Sparky Says:

@Jerry check your stats. He is 5-4 against the Saints all time. He doesn’t have a losing record against any team in the NFL.

@unbelievable paper champions? The Lombardi is made of sterling silver.

@Medicated Pete – Bruce doesn’t have an ex wife, so you’re straight up lying now.

Does anyone commenting on this site have any idea what they are talking about?

  19. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

I think it’s not a problem at all to be happy that the Bucs are better off with rival players out due to injury. Did the Saints and their fans regret all our starting DBs out due to injury? Or that Gronk left her field with back problems? No. So….. when it happens to their players, I said good. F’m. They’re the fn enemy.

  20. E.V. Says:

WHO CARRS WE LOST TO SAINTS ON BS PENALTY CALLS. WHAT 13-4 ISNT A GOOD RECORD ANYMORE??? WHICH BUCS WILL ONLY LOSE 1 OR 2 MORE GAMES. WE DID IT LAST YEAR WHAT MAKES YOU PEOPLE THINK WERE NOT GOING TO DO IT THIS YEAR??? IT’S NOT LIKE WE GOT TO WIN THE DIVISION TO GO TO THE SUPERBOWL..

  21. chris l Says:

the gravediggers ruined his career!!! slant boy

  22. Tye Says:

Sure glad many of you aren’t coaches… Your teams would never win a game with your losing mindset…
The past doesn’t predict the future or our whole lives would be an endless cycle of reoccurring events…
Why the past few meetings between these teams have gone 1 way (except when it truly mattered in the playoffs which clearly many of you would have written the Bucs off) could be many things but if the Bucs play discipline this next game, they should win handedly… if they played discipline the last game they would have won!

  23. Joe Says:

WHO CARRS WE LOST TO SAINTS ON BS PENALTY CALLS. WHAT 13-4 ISNT A GOOD RECORD ANYMORE???

The Saints only play the Bucs once more this season (not counting a potential playoff game). The slimy Saints play nine more games against teams this season that are not the Bucs. And the Bucs are now in a dogfight for the division title and the slimy Saints are down both their starting QB and star WR for the rest of the season.

Who cares? Joe cares! If you wish to play ostrich and shove your head in the sand, that’s your problem.

  24. Joe Says:

The past doesn’t predict the future or our whole lives would be an endless cycle of reoccurring events…

Ah, someone who failed history in high school, eh?

The past very much gives you an idea about the future. It may not predict the future but if you are just trying to predict the future without using a base of the past to give you an informed judgement, then that’s nothing more than a blind guess.

  25. Swampbuc Says:

Joe, it’s no secret. Many of your posters are certifiable cretins

  26. daniel Da Man Says:

Football is a contact sport. Injuries happen. Make the best while you can and remember . Fame is fleeting men, enjoy it now.
    ..

  27. Tye Says:

Joe – ‘ It may not predict the future”

Now you are just being facetious!
You know the way I meant it was if history repeats like some of these people are reacting, it would be the Same teams beating the same teams and the same Super Bowl Champs every year…

  28. Buc and roll Says:

    I’m sorry

    did I miss something

who cares if the Bucs lost 10 times in a row to the saints

they beat them in the playoffs last year

that’s the only freaking win that matters

  29. EC Says:

I maybe wrong didn’t he want out of New Orleans sarefs

  30. Erik Says:

I feel bad for Jameis getting injured and out for the season but it’s karma coming back at him for making like he was eating a W on Instagram post when they beat us during the regular season last year and he didn’t even play he was sitting on the sidelines. I still fume about that every time I think about it. He knew he sucked and was going to be released when we got Brady and that was his way of getting back at us for that. Karma is a bitch. But I truly hope he gets well and comes back next season so we can beat him right and proper.
