Jason Pierre-Paul May Play Sunday

October 22nd, 2021

Gametime decision?

Joe has always said Jason Pierre-Paul is the spirit of the Bucs defense. His high emotions and passion to play rubs off on his teammates.

And how JPP has overcome so many obstacles in his playing career is an inspiration to teammates, coaches and suits with the Bucs.

So Joe found it interesting that while Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians is hoping JPP can play Sunday, he was held out of practice today.

“Yeah, same combination (hand and shoulder),” Arians said of JPP’s current ailments have have left him sidelined for a third of the season. “No sense aggravating it in practice and then play on Sunday.”

When Arians was asked if JPP could have practiced Friday, Arians said, “He could have, but I didn’t let him.”

That is all you need to know about JPP. He wants to play badly and to make sure he played well, he wanted to practice. His coach ordered him to stay off the field.

In so many words, JPP is a warrior. To try to get a hint on whether JPP will play Sunday, Joe turned to JPP’s Instagram stories feed, which is known source for logic and reason.

There, it only showed JPP cruising down the road driving a convertable, grooving to tunes, hollering out the lyrics at full throat while flushing birds and frightening wildlife along the way.

Does this mean JPP is stoked to play Sunday? Well, Joe cannot honestly tell. Joe delivers this information and you can decide.

JPP is one of the all time faves!

  2. BA4President Says:

Watched the IG story and I think that’s just him being him. Nothing to read into there.

  3. ModHairKen Says:

Best use of 3rd round pick ever.

  4. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

I expect to see alot of playtime/spying from JTS, not JPP.

  5. JimmyJack Says:

Scotty ha ha we wont even need a spy if Shaq Barrett can live in the backfield like he did all of last week.

  6. Defense Rules Says:

Guess I’m a minority of one, but I’d rather he not play. Bum hand & shoulder won’t get better by playing against the Bears. With the BYE coming up, would much rather see JPP heal up for 3 weeks now then kick ass in the latter part of the season on into the playoffs.

  7. Buc50 Says:

I with you RD, I would rather he sit for this game. We will win handily and he needs the rest for down the stretch.

  8. Wild Bill Says:

JPP was the heart and soul of the defense last year. Hope he does not aggravate his injuries this week.

  9. Señor Harry in Costa Rica Says:

I agree with DR. JTS provides the Bucs with a player who can fill in just fine for an injured JPP against this particular team. Id rather have a healthier JPP for the Saints next week.

  10. Kg Says:

Stop trying to force JPP on the field. It’s clear he’s not healthy and needs the rest. At this point Joe Tryon is the better option at pass rusher.

  11. Ash Says:

JTS is still probably the better pass rusher even when jpp is healthy
