Bruce Arians On Bucs Injuries

October 15th, 2021

Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians

There wasn’t a whole lot to update on various injuries by Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians today.

In his weekly day-after presser, Arians was asked about cornerback Richard Sherman, who suffered a hamstring injury early in the first quarter and did not return. Arians confessed he has no knowledge of the severity because Sherman had yet to get an MRI test.

When asked what injured defensive backs he expects to return when the Bucs face the Bears a week from Sunday, Arians wasn’t optimistic many will.

Arians said he hoped safety Antoine Winfield can pass concussion protocols soon and be ready for the Bears in nine days. The rest of the injured defensive backs, Arians called it a “crapshoot” and offered no specifics.

No timetables were offered for Lavonte David or Rob Gronkowski, either.

Didn’t he say last night that 2 or 3 of them could have played last night?

  2. Francisco Guzman Says:

Are they gonna get any players back for that saints game?

Not sure without going through notes. Joe is just reporting what Arians said within the past 20 minutes, some 15 or 16 hours after he spoke last night.

@Joe understood, I was somewhat optimistic after last night’s short presser, then the total opposite today……ugh

Last week, they were not able to celebrate their win against the Dolphins because of the short week, now, they can celebrate both of the wins. GO BUCS!

I’m really concerned with winfield. What really happened to him? Is it so hard to pass the protocol??

  9. Ash Says:

  10. PSL Bob Says:

VSyl, I agree. Must have really got his bell rung, but you’d expect him to be about ready by now.

Chicago ranks 30th in points per game @ 16.4

    Rest the injured another week

  12. SOEbuc Says:

We’re sitting at 5-1 with this offense without Gronk. Do not need to bring anyone back unhealthy before the bye week. After that, we’ll have to see what happens.

  13. David Says:

Dean and Delaney are looking pretty decent.
    Cockrrll is a liability.
If Winfield returns may be Edwards moves down towards the slot. That should get them through the Bears which are run heavy team and don’t pass well.

Also helping out is the pass rush is coming to life. Shaq was a madman Thursday night. JPP looked pretty good, the rookie looks pretty good and VEA is a beast

The cubbies are zero threat and TB12 has revenge on the mind

Sit all the semi injured and let’s go roll these clowns
