The Bucs have such an insane amount of talent on offense it’s damn near unfair.
And it’s not like the defense can barely start for a directional school.
In speaking with Jeff Howe of The Athletic, Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians admitted complacency is not an issue because his team goes after each other in practices.
“We’re very fortunate our offense and defense are very competitive,” Arians said. “I don’t have to worry about our practices being lackadaisical. They’re getting after each other’s ass pretty good all the time. They’re taking care of that in the locker room.”
And of course, egos are involved. The defense doesn’t want to get lit up by the quarterback some refer to as a dirty farm animal. And that same QB doesn’t want to be shamed by his own colleagues on the other side of the ball.
It’s a great back-and-forth of wills and egos and it keeps the Bucs sharp.
That’s bad news for the rest of the league.

The point is absolutely correct. You’re going to be at your best when you practice against the best. It works both on offense and defense. This team has both barrels loaded and is ready to go hunting.

Besides the secondary, the bucs are probably the greatest single collection of talent I’ve seen. The 94 9ers were the only other team that came close. Listen, they’ll score 35 a game, but will be in a lot of shootouts. You can’t run on them, so the only feasible thing to do is attack the suspect secondary.
I would spread them out. Shotgun 5 wide on every play. The ball needs to come out quickly. Hopefully by the 4th quarter, the defensive line will be sucking wind. It’s really the only way to attack them. On defense, you must generate pressure on Brady. Take your two best pass rushers, and put them over the guard and center. If that doesn’t work, I’d go with 2 down lineman and everyone else is dB’s and safety. Force them to run the ball. It’s not what arians and Brady want to do. Above all else I would pray to the spirit of Reggie white for devine intervention
