Scotty Miller Gets Shelved

September 29th, 2021

Out.

Another player is on the injured reserve list.

Scotty Miller was put on ice this morning after he suffered a “severe” turf toe injury. Joe fully remembers Carl Nicks’ turf toe and those things are ugly, nasty and gnarly.

What does Miller on the IR mean? He’s gone for at least three weeks.

    That sucks

  2. Show Me the TDs Says:

    Any word on AB’s return?

  3. Medicated Pete Says:

Good, he was irrelevant once defenses paid any attention to him

  4. Joe Says:

    Any word on AB’s return?

Arians said last week he expects Brown should be ready to go for Sunday. We should find out more later today when Arians talks.

(Just to get a step ahead, the Bucs still have not released any information on a possible timetable for Sean Murphy-Bunting to return.)

  5. Big_Buc$ Says:

He is a one trick pony and you saw based on the first 2 games alone he was just special teams player with Godwin, Evans, AB, and Gronk. You see Tyler Johnson has emerged again. So he has speed but can he run any other route besides a Go and Post route?

  6. SB~LV Says:

    The inclusion of “ severe”
    Is certainly notable!
Having had surgery on my big toe to relieve the bone on bone pain, healthy people have no idea the role a big toe plays in simple walking.
I bet a photo of his foot would make most folks hurl !

  7. zzbuc Says:

As far as I can remember, this exact injury enden Deion Sanders carrer right?

  8. Elita Vita Says:

Difficult injury. Career ending turf toe for Carl Nicks. Wish Scotty the best!

  9. PassingThru Says:

Yeah, I believe the projection was for “multiple weeks” which definitely means severe and quite possibly means surgery.

  10. CostaRica John Says:

Cut that toe off and get to work. Hell JPP does it without a couple fingers.
    Go Bucs!

  11. crazyBucs_CL Says:

yeah, the TV 🤡 is tough with offence…and Scotty…what a joke.
D is fulling everybody, they got the money, they have spring/presummer off, they are the WORST in NFL, he brought here e TERRIBLE DC Todd…. and not even a word. But hey, he is tough with Scotty….
    Fake HC.

  12. Rads Says:

Carl Nicks had his turf toe get infected with MRSA. Not really a comparable situation.

  13. Devin DiPalma Says:

    CrazyBucs….just no.

  14. Bucsfanman Says:

crazy- Did I miss something here?! SB Champs. same players SAME coaches.
This ain’t Madden! There are going to be bad game(s). It’s a long season. Try not to panic.
    Have you forgotten “Pressbox Smitty”?!

    Did I mention SB Champs?!

    Get well soon Scotty!

  15. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Like Scotty….but of all the offensive players….he will be missed the least….I’m looking forward to lots more Tyler Johnson.

  16. Chuck T Says:

    Is Edelman available?

  17. Winny Testaverde Says:

Suddenly the darkest of dark horse candidate emerges ( only in my mind ). After he is celebrated on Sunday Night in Foxboro, Julian Edelman could get talked into joining the Bucs. He’s what the Bucs hoped Miller would be…tough as nails…a true slot receiver converting 3rd downs over the middle.

  18. Leighroy Says:

No one new is coming in from outside the organization to play WR. If anything BA just found a way to suit up Darden and Mickens in the same game (for better or worse).

  19. godlovesbucs Says:

Winny- we already have a tough as nails slot receiver that goes over the middle in Godwin. Heck, even AB fits that designation. Loved watching Edelman, but there is already an embarrassment of riches on this offense, I wouldn’t want to add anyone into the mix.

  20. J Dubb Says:

I hope it doesn’t happen cuz it would mean an injury to one of our top three wide receivers or Tyler Johnson, but I foresee Larry Fitzgerald finishing the year as a Buccaneer.

  21. allbuccedup Says:

No big deal he hardly plays anymore.

  22. HC Grover Says:

Wow, all these injury reports hurt. Ouch! The banged up Buccaneers. I thought with getting the whole team back it would be a smooth well oiled system out of the gate. I was so wrong. Seems like a hodge podge of misfits now far from the end of last year. Not running on all cylinders. We need a ‘Tune Up’.

  23. Ash Says:

He hasn’t done anything this season Tyler Johnson has done alot more with his opportunities than Scotty who seams to be a one trick pony it’s a nice trick but it’s only one not a big deal

  24. Buxszntkt Says:

Turf toe is a disaster for Scotty of all people. His one trick partially depends on getting a jump on the defender. Turf toe is going to impact his jump when he recovers . Let’s see how good TJ can be.

  25. Swampbuc Says:

Tyler showed he’s ready. Get him more snaps.

  26. Marine Buc Says:

Like I’ve said several times – this dude is fragile…

  27. B-Bro Says:

    No new d-back news?

  28. B-Bro Says:

    Never mind

  29. Tntac Says:

really you people forget he played his heart out . Forget what he did at green Bay in playoffs .

  30. Dom Galati Says:

Have no fear super QB is hear. He will pull it all together for a great season. TB has shown resilience and the ability pull a team together and find that open man. Just hope Gronc is ok this week after last weeks deviating hit. He didn’t seam the same when he came back in.
