Said all offseason, the Bucs regular season defense last year was fine – nothing special. They got really hot in the playoffs, and people think that is the new norm, but it’s just not. Hopefully they can turn it on again this postseason, but I see them being pretty average, in the 10-14 points against range — but the team will win on offense.

Love seeing our Run Defense dominate. Suh has been our best player. At least 3 plays downfield, he created the big stop on 4th and 1 and had the big sack……..But our passrush overall is really bad after Vita Vea. Joe Tryon getting lots of snaps and is completely ineffective. He took himself right out of the play on the TD. If Shaq is in there(probably even Nelson) that play goes for no gain. Need Shaq and JPP to set up the D to make big plays. Tryon has a long way to go.
The offense is nearly unstoppable so long as Brady is protected. The fumble rattled Tom and he was out of rhythm the next drive…….Great adjustment by Byron to recognize it and lean on the running game. Wont mind seeing us keep running the ball in the 2nd half. Fornette has played really well and has been key picking up several blitzes setting up big plays.
And no biggy on Jensens pentalty. He laid the lumber down. LOVE IT!!! Just puck a good spot like that in the 1st quater and be disciplined in cruch time.

The only thing the defense has done wrong is give up a damn good designed screen pass and Another long pass on that touchdown drive that was a miscommunication on the DBs.
Only thing the offense did wrong so far is Brady held that ball way too long and fumbled.

The DBs and the pass rush we’re inconsistent last year. They got better and better as the year went on.

There’s really only been a few plays that should have been better.

The team will win on offense, and they should be able to outscore anyone so long as Leftwich doesn’t get in the way with this idiotic predictable play calling, or going into a shell like I figure he’s going to do here. With that said, this might be one of Leftwich’s better called games as they haven’t been ultra predictable. If they don’t go into a shell and start trying to run clock, and keep on being aggressive, I’ll be surprised.
