“You Are Such A Sociopath”

June 3rd, 2021

Workaholic all year long.

Joe is just fascinated by the Tom Brady that is away from One Buc Palace.

Joe loves to hear and read the stories from folks who are able to pull back the curtain and explain who the real Tom Brady is — usually hidden behind that Wizard of Oz front he otherwise projects to the public.

From what Joe can gather, Brady is a driven if not obsessed athlete whose drive and work ethic and desire to be great may not be surpassed.

It’s not just physical work but mental work and work on his health. Brady virtually leaves nothing to chance. Any little thing he can use to be the best he can be he will do.

Sometimes, that means working out like a madman when on vacation in the Bahamas.

Fun fact: Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury once backed up Brady in New England, albeit very briefly. Kingsbury was drafted by the Patriots in 2003 in the sixth round, but he never stepped on the field for New England.

Appearing on the “Flying Coach” podcast co-hosted by Peter Schrager and Sean McVay, Kingsbury offer a story on how disciplined and driven Brady is.

So in his few days in New England, Kingsbury and Brady had a mutual friend who got married at Baker’s Bay resort in the Bahamas. The night before the wedding, there was a massive bash. Invitees threw down drinks like it was their last night on earth. And yes, Kingsbury said, Brady was inhaling alcohol like everyone else.

Kingsbury said despite the long night of hardcore partying, he couldn’t sleep the next morning, despite the aftereffects. So he hopped on a golf cart around 7:30 a.m. to cruise around the resort and try to clear his head when he noticed Brady.

There, Kingsbury said Brady was sweating like an ironworker in the summer, working out with extension bands, busting his tail. This, only a few hours removed from serious partying on a slice of paradise.

Kingsbury said he told Brady, “You are such a sociopath.”

Simply put, Brady is beyond driven. And Joe is so glad he is with the Bucs. The Bucs have so many good young players, and they are learning by example from Brady that one has to put in very serious work if he wants to be the best.

You can hear Kingbury describe what he found Brady doing in the video below.

This is why BA isn’t worried about absenteeism at OTA’s from the Brady Bunch.

If I pinch myself any more, I may be baker acted. Amazing times for Bucs fans.

If I pinch myself much more, I may get Baker acted. Amazing times for Buc fans.

THEE most self-motivated athlete I’ve seen. I’m sure there have been other elites that were comparable but none more so.

Fine line between genius and insanity. Hitler and Mother Teresa probably could’ve given TB12 a run for his money in the “driven” department. Glad he’s our sociopath.

    Hitler? Wtf? Come on man

Did he mean psychopath? Or does he just not understand the definition of sociopath? Brady working out the next morning is certainly not sociopathic behavior

Did you hear tbe one about the NE linemen wanting to challenge TB12 to something- they predicted -he was not good at…but they were? After all, TB12 would win at golf, cards, et al. So, they challenged him to a chugging content. And that lasted a few seconds. Boom! It was gone. And they all looked astonished, as TB12 walked away…winner.
