Tom Brady Confesses, “I’ve Got Some More Football In Me”

April 7th, 2021

Candid interview.

The end is near but what exactly is “near?”

That’s the question Joe ponders after watching park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking, tequila-shooting, smartphone-scared, waffle-grilling, trophy-throwing, roller-coaster-petrified, Bucs-Super-Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady have a sitdown with “Good Morning America” co-host and Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end Michael Strahan.

Strahan met up with Brady at the MouseHouse in Orlando and Brady confessed to several things.

Brady, Joe found out, hates amusement park rides but still hops aboard to be with his family, is paranoid of humanity armed with cell phone cameras, and that he sees the sun beginning to set on his career.

What Joe did not learn is when Brady envisions the sun to dip below the Gulf of Mexico?

Strahan decided to purloin Brady’s wife, Gisele Bündchen’s famous post-Super Bowl LV question to her husband, “What more do you have to prove?”

When Strahan asked Brady that, Brady let it slip he understands his playing days are limited.

“About football, once you stop you can’t go back and do it,” Brady said. “I’ve got some more football in me — not a lot. And I know that. What I’ve got left I’m going to give it everything I’ve got.

“That’s the great part about football. It’s not what you did last year. It’s ‘What are you going to do this year?’ For me, it was ‘What am I going to do for the Bucs?’ last year. I still feel that way.”

Later, the subject of the Super Bowl boat parade came up. Brady admitted his memory of that day is a bit spotty.

“A boat parade, which looked pretty cool,” Strahan said.

Brady replied, “From what I remember, yes, it was pretty cool.”

Brady reaffirmed that he was liquored up that afternoon.

“It was great to see you get off the boat,” Strahan said of backup quarterback Ryan Griffin basically holding Brady up as they walked/stumbled past reporters. “You remember that part?”

Brady chuckled and laughed, “Barely. I had a lot of fun.”

Also, Brady openly admitted to a phobia of sorts. One reason he is rarely seen in public, he said, is that he is freaked out by virtually everyone taking his picture or shooting video of him. The video of him staggering along with Griffin helping him was an example of why he’s not hip to hanging out in public.

“It is hard to relax,” Brady said. “It still doesn’t feel comfortable for me with my personality to have people filming. So I tend to stay at home more. I don’t go out a lot.”

Brady must get really triggered when so many people roll up in their rigs on Tampa Bay to take a peek to see if Brady and/or Gisele are lounging at Derek Jeter’s pool.

You can see the full piece of Strahan interviewing Brady in the ABC video below. Joe wonders when is the last time a Bucs player had a sitdown interview with “Good Morning America?”

Brady is not only the face of the Bucs franchise…..he’s the face of the NFL…..what a great representative of our team…..

  2. BA4President Says:

    Well said Tampabaybucfan

  3. 74 Bucs Fan Says:

I believe that the Bradys bought their own mansion and do not live at Jeter’s any more.

So you’re telling me that the greatest NFL QB of all time is a Buc and we won the Superbowl in our own house? Thought I was hallucinating.

  4. Buc50 Says:

Can’t believe Mrs. Brady agrees with Mr. Brady. I would love to see him win another ring and test that theory.

  6. PSL Bob Says:

The dude is genuine. No pretense, not aloofness. He’s just a down-to-earth guy with a lot of money and off-the-charts football skills. I love that he’s now the face of my team.

I’m a retired journalist. Can you give me your definition of “fake news”…I mean other than Fox of course.

Please pay attention. I’m NOT asking your OPINION of which sources of news you consider fake…I am asking your CRITERIA for determining fake…you know with some specific examples.

  10. cmurda Says:

@stpete. I agree. We shouldn’t refer to it as news at all anymore. Nowadays we are told what we should feel and we are left to determine if it really happened at all. I don’t care what news outlet you watch. All the same crap. It might be cliché like the “we walked uphill both ways” stories but believe it or not, back in the day, the news reported facts and let the viewer draw their own conclusions. Wow, imagine that. Folks actually having to think for themselves.

  11. geno711 Says:

@cmurda. I didn’t see stpetebucsfans infer that all news reports were fake.

Seems to me lots of news sources give news to start out. However, they stretch their journalistic integrity with key loaded words/phrases.

Then there are the opinion sections of TV media that especially do not coincide with old time journalistic reporting. People love their opinion sections – left and right.
