Going For Two

March 17th, 2021

Ring chasing.

Speaking today with the Tampa Bay pen and mic club, newly rich Bucs sack king Shaq Barrett noted one reason he returned to the Bucs is the team is loaded and has every intention of repeating.

Before last season, the last time Shaq was on a playoff team was when Denver won the Super Bowl in 2015 with Peyton Manning. It was Manning’s last year and until this past season, Shaq’s last playoff appearance.

Now Joe knows it is easy to say “Go for Two” and Shaq is well-aware of this having played on a Denver team that was defending Super Bowl champs.

The pieces to repeat are in place now, Shaq said, and that was also a draw to keep him in Tampa.

“We are going to have the majority of the same core of guys back,” Shaq said. “And we are going to be able to keep grinding. We have great leaders who won’t let us get complacent. And we have a great coaching staff who will do the same thing.

“It’s going to be hard [to repeat] for sure. But we are ready to work, we are ready to keep grinding. We are still hungry. Nobody is settled with one Super Bowl. We know we have the potential to do it again.”

Well, you know a certain quarterback who wears No. 12 is stoked to win another Super Bowl, this time at age 44. And don’t think it hasn’t crossed Tom Brady’s mind that he could outdo his old rival Manning by winning a second Super Bowl with his second team, something neither Manning nor Joe Montana ever pulled off.

Tyranical Tom will be on them all the more about complacency. This will be a major thing spoken of by so many in the media. The Talent is there to Dominate the NFL, but you have to play like you have not done anything yet, and really as far as the 2021 season they done anything, they have not played a single down. But again, we will here much about Maniacal Tom, and his attention to detail. The Bucs are in good hands. We know BA is going to be all over them about it. So fasten your seat belts boys and girls, the NFL in 2021 is a Bucs world and the other teams just happen to live in it. GO BUCS!!!! DOMINATE 2021

(Brady is prolly already pondering how he wants the be the first QB to win his 15th SB, this one at the age of 50…)

  3. Show Me the TDs Says:

Three in a row has never been done. That should be our goal when negotiating these contracts.

  4. PSL Bob Says:

If Brady really wants to go out in style, how about a perfect season, including another SB. Then he really won’t have anything left to prove.

Cobra- At least one ring per finger, anyways!

  6. Mitch Says:

I know we are in the thick of free agency, but I really would like Tampa to draft Azeez Olujari! He just did an interview on NFL network, and said he models his game off of none other than Shaq.

Man, I hope he falls to 32.
