“I’m Going To Play”

February 3rd, 2021

Game status for Sunday.

In his Super Bowl LV media session Wednesday afternoon, it seems we got an answer on one player’s status for Sunday.

Bucs rookie safety Antoine Winfield said his ankle is OK and declared, “I’m going to play.” He did so with a monster smile on his face.

Winfield was limited in practice today. He missed the NFC title game due to the ankle injury.

I wonder if BA wanted that leaked? Good news though

  3. Jeff Says:

Could be bad news if he’s lacking any speed. He’s going to have his hands full with KC’s receivers.

  4. SC Bucs Fan Says:

    Any word on Whitehead?

    Sorry, just read below

  6. Steve Says:

The reality is, he’ll get a injection for pain and he’ll be a full go. GO BUCS

  11. Hodad Says:

    I had no doubt.

  12. David Says:

    Excellent.
As long as he has his speed. I have no doubt Whitehead and LVD will be good to go.
The only question is Brown. If he is not 100% I’d rather go with healthy Miller and Johnson, although Brown At 80-90% could be a good decoy occasionally

All three will suit up & all three will likely play…..if they can get up and eat breakfast Sunday morning….they’ll play.

HE is a big difference maker. I am confident all the Bucs injured players(David, Whitehead, Brown and Winfield) will be fine for the game.

Having Vita Vea and Jamal Dean this time around will be a huge boost for this defense.

  15. Colonel Angus Says:

As long as these guys have a pulse, they’ll play. Its the freaking Super Bowl, players wait their entire careers for this opportunity. And many, if not most, will never get a shot at playing in one. AB will be a go, maybe limited, but he’ll be out there.

    YYYEEESSS!!!!

AWin can be a game changer. It seems like the bigger the moment the bigger he plays.

  18. Dbbuc711 Says:

Of course. If a guy’s not in a wheelchair his butt will be out playing in the Super Bowl.

  19. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Again, it’s the GD Super Bowl! If you can walk, you can play (unless you have a horrible shoulder injury and you’re a safety).

  20. BillyBucFan Says:

He won’t be lacking speed because he is fast. Period.
They will tape it up, he will get an injection and be fine.

It’s not like if he has an interception in sight he is gonna let up and say, “Oh my ankle hurts “.

Come on man. The smile says everything we need to know.
    All these guys are playing.
    Enough with the injury worries.
