Killer on the road

Now Joe thinks it stinks the Bucs won’t have home playoff games unless there’s a squirrely upset next weekend in the playoffs.

Yesterday, Joe announced the death of the “Den of Depression” for the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway, because for the first time in the post-Chucky era, the Bucs have a winning record at home this year (5-3). Since Chucky was fired, the Bucs had the worst home record in the NFC and, not so coincidently, didn’t make the playoffs since Chucky was fired after the 2008 season.

There must be something in the water causing the Bucs to not play great at home no matter the quarterback. Check out this little blurb by Clark Judge of SI.com, who points out how Brady was flawless on the road this season.

Rarely is Tom Brady on the road for the playoffs, but he should have no problem with it this year. In fact, he might even look forward to it. Reason: In his last seven road games, he has 19 TD passes and no interceptions.

No picks in seven road games? That’s Joe Montana-like. That’s ridiculous.

So yeah, it stinks the Bucs may not get to play in front of a partially-packed home crowd in January. But at least their quarterback is razor-sharp out of town.

No, it’s Tom Brady-like. He is peerless. Not Peyton. Not Bradshaw. Not Montana.

We are dealing with the undisputed best QB of all time.

Joe Montana was Tom Brady-like, Joe. Not the other way around. Brady won four Super Bowls and was still mid-career.

    home SB Joe

I think Brady relishes being β€œthe heel,” and going into enemy territory and shredding the opponent. Maybe a bit easier this year with lack of crowds, but still puts him in that mentality.

Joe, it sure does stink that we aren’t playing at home, all we had to do was split with the Saints. If I recall the last time we played them was at home and it was the Bucs that stunk. A split with the Saints and a win over the Bears and we win the division. But it is what it is and as great as the Washington defense is the Bucs defense is good enough to pressure Washington’s offense into mistakes and some turnovers. The Bucs can score 24-30 points to win this game. That is the number they have to hi

Where did tmax go? He must be so angry that the Bucs are now winning, are in the playoffs, and are favored by a touchdown on the road for their wild card game.

  8. D-Rome Says:

Joe, is there a reason why you are calling it the “Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway”? Is it a legal issue?

  9. Lunchbox Says:

Say it with me Joe, it’s not hard. Raymond James Stadium.

  10. SlyPirate Says:

Ron Rivera is a good coach and he knows the Bucs well. Bucs will need all three phases to win in the playoffs.

  11. Bucfan81 Says:

The key to the game is protect Tom and run Rojo at least 25 times. In order to stop there pass rush throw screens and short passes. Get the ball out quick. Defense needs to step up and get pressure to make it easier for the back end that struggles.

Greatest QB to ever play and we’re so fortunate to experience his greatness, the Bucs fan page admins throw a childish long context of nicknames when referring to TB12 and use other QBs to compare him to? You will be remembering the time we’re in right now for a very long time so show more respect and maybe your questions will get a better response from him.

HUGE THUMBS UP TO: Tampa Bay Tailgater πŸ‘

  14. Listnfrmafar Says:

Of course TB12 is jacked, look what he has for a supporting cast: ME 13, CG 14, Gronk, AB, Miller, Bratle, Rojo, Fournett and an Oline that really is stepping it up. I’m always a fan of ignoring the noise but it sure would be nice if Young ends with 2 tackles, no QB hits, no sacks and a bruised ego. Big fan of Montana but the comparison thing is OVA. There is only one GOAT and he is a Buc!

  15. Oneilbucs Says:

Tom Brady is not the goat he played in 2 different times . Know 1 actually knows what he would have been in the 80s or 90s .

  16. Bobby Says:

Well, there is one guaranteed home playoff game…. Long, long way to go though
