Chase Young: “I Want Tom!”

January 4th, 2021

Wants Bucs QB.

One of the most dynamic rookie pass rushers to come into the NFL in some time made it clear when his team clinched a playoff berth Sunday night.

Redskins beast defensive lineman Chase Young wants a piece of park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.

As seen on no less than the NFL’s own TikTok video account below, Young ran off the field after beating the Eagles last night to win the rotten NFC East. He hollered for the world to hear that he’s coming after Brady.

“Tom Brady! Tom Brady, I’m coming,” Young hollered as he bounced towards the Redskins locker room. “I want Tom. I want Tom!”

First off, young Mr. Young, it is not very smart to poke the Bear. Gotta keep your emotions under control.

And Joe hopes Bucs left tackle Donovan Smith sees this. Smith best be on Young so badly that he can taste what gum Young is chewing.

If the Bucs can contain the Redskins’ front defensive line, the Bucs should be OK Saturday night.

Chase be careful what you wish for
    Your CB are not good
If we can protect chipping you we can win
    RoJo is the key

  2. Danny C Says:

Careful what you wish for young man… You about to get slapped back to reality.

  3. 813bucboi Says:

d.smith?…..that clown was quite when cam jordan called him out after he signed his contract….and sadly cam has been right….

d.smith and wirfs are going to have their hands full….#90montez sweat is no joke either…

imo, WASH wanted this matchup because of d.smith…

    GO BUCS!!!!

  4. Joe Says:

#90montez sweat is no joke either…

    No he is not!

  5. danr Says:

this was what i least wanted out of possible scenarios.

I think we have a better chance against the seahawks than the football team. We have looked bad against really good defensive lines ALL YEAR.
Saints, Rams, Chicago, even the chargers, all have great dlines, but the football team’s defensive line may be BETTER. This is rough.

  6. Buc Bro Says:

Dude played against 3 playoff teams and had zero sacks against them all… In 15 games he never had a multi sack game, let’s dial back the hype a bit

He’s a promising player but not an All World DE like some try to make him out to be.

  7. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I think Alex Smith may not want his teammates taunting…….should also motivate JPP & Shaq……..it’s a shame Devin White can’t play……he would feast on Smith.

Donovan Smith’s $14.2 mil is on the line with the Bucs…..not guaranteed…..we could draft a OT…..save the money on Smith for Godwin.

  8. zzbuc Says:

You can be the future, most probably, but when you speak about Tom….You should say Mr Brady young man!!! You are a kid, and when you speak about TB12 you should show some respect…KID

  9. Robert Says:

    love it…give tom motivization

  10. The Red Mirage Says:

Be careful what you wish for rookie.

  11. Dewey Selmon Says:

After watching last nights game I will say Sweat will not have any impact dur to Wirfs. The Eagles RT was a statue last night. Young might have a pressure and maybe a QB hit, but I don’t see him changing the game and looking like an ALL PRO due to a sorry Eagles OL.

  12. 813bucboi Says:

    HEY BUCS FAN!!!!!!

    NO DRAFT TALK FEELS GREAT!!!!!!!….LOL….

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  13. Joe in Michigan Says:

I remember watching the Bucs games of old, playing Green Bay and not doubling Reggie White. Warrick Dunn trying to block Reggie White with a full head of steam…I don’t want to see anything like that on Saturday.
I also remember people saying Aaron Donald would “feast on Tampa Bay” earlier this season and he didn’t show up on the stat sheet. If the Bucs have a good game plan they’ll do alright.

  14. 813bucboi Says:

    dewey

i hope your right….but when WASH played PITTS, young and sweat got after it all night….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  15. destinjohnny Says:

    should move wirfs over

  16. Mr no rings Says:

When your team is 7-9 and you STILL make the playoffs you should keep your mouth shut. That means you SUCK and so does your division.

  17. View from 132 Says:

I love this. That’s how defensive ends should act. Leave the field excited to take on the best. Good for him.

The more fun question is if JPP bounced off the field saying “I want… wait, who is their QB… and why doesn’t the team have a name?”

  18. pewter941 Says:

    #Tristan Wirfs

  19. PSL Bob Says:

Guess I should be worried about this matchup, but for some reason I’m not. Run two tight-end sets and keep a RB in to help with blocking. I see a lot of quick slants and check-down passes and fewer long balls, but this offense has the firepower to get it done. And, on the defensive side of the ball, an injured Alex Smith is more immobile that Brady is perceived to be. Shaq should be back, and even without White, the Bucs should be able to put a lot of pressure on Smith, which will help our our secondary.

  20. ModHairKen Says:

You know how to shut down a pass rusher? Run at him. Pull Guards and smash him. Have backs cut his legs out like the best all time pass protecting RB Warrick Dunn used to do.

Running your yap as a loser, which is what the Redskins are, is a mistake.

Apparently, they’ve also forgotten about Suh and JPP and Antonio Brown. Guys that have made their mark and know how to handle the moment.

  21. alton green Says:

Folks just forget that punk. You act like it’s news that a rookie trashed the GOAT. The one we better worry about is Alex Smith and our corners. Just keep a back or maybe Gronk in to block occasionally. Been watching for 6 decades including Tom’s entire career. He was 5-6th QB at Michigan. He was PISSED but didn’t cry. He fought to be #1. But what made him REALLY pissed was all the teams that passed on him and he wasn’t drafted until 199th in the 6th rd. Where was Mr Young drafted? His team finished 7-9 I think. I just hope Tompa brings a condom hahahahahahahahahha

Did you reference the movie “hoosiers” with the gum talk
If so ? Kudos. Classic oldie

  23. Cobraboy Says:

We will see a ton of 3-step & play action on Saturday night.

  24. catcard202 Says:

Chase Young has to be salivating, knowing he’ll be lining up against a guy that loses focus from time to time…

  25. adam from ny Says:

you gotta be careful with a team without a name…

    it’s like a man without a country…

young and sweat are def the big concern – gotta keep then off the old man…

other than that, this nameless team ain’t all that…

i was hoping we’d avoid these 2 edge rushers tho…tom is merely a hall of fame statue back there, bouncing on his toes and looking pretty to them

  26. SOEbuc Says:

Cute little cut off. We wear em long in the NFL kid.

  27. adam from ny Says:

    regarding the playoffs:

we move, as our offensive line moves…

  28. Tackleblockwin Says:

If there was ever a game for D Smith to just stonewall someone for 4 straight quarters, this is it.

  29. Cannon Says:

You want Tom? Good. He’s coming.

  30. Joe in Michigan Says:

IF Donovan Smith can’t focus for a playoff game, then the Bucs need to look for his replacement.

  31. Jersey buc Says:

Protect Brady get a 3 score lead this game will be a wrap. Washington does not have the O to keep up. Have to protect Brady first and foremost. Young needs to not worry about brady worry bout how his team barely beat the tanking eagles.

  32. Joe Says:

Did you reference the movie “hoosiers” with the gum talk
If so ? Kudos. Classic oldie

Not on purpose. Love the movie though.

  33. adam from ny Says:

i wanted a shootout with the cowboys in the warm dome on a sunday evening 4:30 game…

    advantage to the bucs…

  34. Bucy Says:

Looks like another Matt Hasselbeck situation… Easy win for the brady bunch. Let’s go Bucs!

Bucs are very well equipped to play a 2 TE set.
That is a max protection alignment.
Can their defense cover Godwin and Brown?
    No.
Plus Gronk and Brate can chip, then leak out.
Also uncoverable by the Washington defense.

2 TEs is how you stop a great pass rush. And we have 4 great TEs.

  36. adam from ny Says:

    hello anthony auclair ^^^^^

  37. Coburn Says:

Hopefully we see a bit more quick throws early like we have seen in last couple of weeks mixed with some runs. I truly believe it’s had a lot to do with our faster starts… Later in games we have gone back to slinging it with success, but seems early just getting into rhythm with those easy completions helps and keeps pressure off tom

  38. SlyPirate Says:

The Bucs have three LBs with more sacks than Young. Smith can handle him.

  39. Blackmagic00 Says:

Maybe everyone is taking this out of perspective, maybe he wants an autograph or for Tom to get him to Tampa. Or maybe he just really wants Tom?

  40. orlbucfan Says:

I posted this sentiment on an earlier thread. Hey Chase Young, you better watch out that Alex Smith doesn’t get creamed. Both LVD and WG are gunning for him. They have waited for a LONG time for this opportunity, and they are both healthy!

  41. HeyItsAdam Says:

    People can do stupid things….

Leaving your coffee on the roof of your car and driving away.

Hesitating when your girl asks “Does this outfit make me look fat?”

    Eating gas station sushi.

But taunting Tom Brady before a playoff game when your team wasn’t better than .500 might be the dumbest thing ever.

  42. buc15 Says:

  43. BradentuckeyBuc Says:

Rookie mistake! Mess with the GOAT you get the horns!

  44. 123urout Says:

here you go Bucs…. a bulletin board material ! That was the number one thing Belicheck tells his team and Brady knows it to well, be the underdog, don’t give your opponents a bulletin board material…. 🙂

  45. unbelievable Says:

And Joe hopes Bucs left tackle Donovan Smith sees this.

Maybe they can tape this, along with Cameron Jordan tweeting out the crying emoji when his contract was renewed, to his locker?

Would that light a fire under his arse?

  46. Slapmyassandcallmesally Says:

Run the “picket fence” at him.

  47. Stanglassman Says:

The Eagles had to work hard to not win that game. It feels kinda fraudulent that the Bucs opponent isn’t the NYG this week.

Defense is definitely Washington’s strength. Young is a great young player.

  48. ElioT Says:

Tristan Wirfs will destroy Sweat and Young.

I have faith Smith will step up too.

Punch this defense in the mouth and stonewall their a**es all night!

  49. JayWill Says:

Why wouldn’t he want Tom? That dline carried them to 7-9. Its called being a competitor. People at like they suppose to be afraid of Tom. If he had that mentality they wouldn’t have a chance.

  50. cmurda Says:

    1) Montez Sweat is not that scary

    2) Chase Young is obviously goo but he’s not elite. there are about 47 other pass rushers with better numbers. He’s good. Block him. Maybe double him. 2 TE sets with Brate chipping. We got this.
