“I Expect That From Mike”

January 13th, 2021

Gives props to Bucs’ WR.

Man, one of the more beautiful sights Joe saw last week in the win over Washington was Mike Evans playing like he always does.

The Bucs’ star receiver just six days prior had what looked like a gruesome knee injury and anyone watching that play in the end zone feared the worst.

Instead, Evans never missed a beat. He was diagnosed with hyperextended knee — not exactly a zit — and through a lot of help from Bucs trainers found himself back on the playing field.

Bucs running back Leonard Fournette didn’t seem surprised by Evans’ ability to physically bounce back. In a Zoom conference call today, Fournette shrugged his shoulders about it all.

“That’s Mike,” Fournette said. “I expected that from Mike. He plays hard. He practices hard. The things you see in the game, he does in practice. [Evans’ quick return] was expected.”

And to hear Fournette talk, Evans is the ultimate pro. How is that? Because of the way he stays in shape.

“He takes care of his body,” Fournette said of Evans. “That’s what a pro does.”

The Bucs are sure fortunate to have a guy like Mike.

Mike is a bad man who does bad things to DBs. I hope he creates havoc this weekend because if they don’t cover AB and Godwin, the Aints will be hurtin’.

Mikes gotta figure out how not to let Lattimore get in his head. That dude is Mikes kryptonite.

Let AB take him for a spin.

Can’t wait to see Mike in this next game. Like Joe pointed out, Lattimore has always had his number these past few years. But now we are in the playoffs!! Mike has busted his rear day-in and day-out throughout a lot of losing years. Now that Mike is facing Lattimore in the postseason, I expect we will see a different Mike this time and he will actually dominate the person that usually shuts him down best.

    Go Bucs!!!

The offense has been the best in the league since week 9, and that includes hanging 500+ yards on one of the best defenses in the NFL last week. Im worried about our defense, but offensively all that matters is pass protection. Tom is playing like a 30 year old, and as long as they can keep the pressure off him, he can and will out duel Brees in a shootout.

I agree Mike in Lol, Evan’s wants this bad he’s always been the Bucs shining star now he is second fittle to Brady and he accepts that because he understands what Brady brings to the game. He seems as motivated as anyone, he is going to go off Sunday. Go Mike Go!

I expect nothing less from the best receiver in football and easily our best offensive (drafted) player ever.
