Frozen Tommy = Good Tommy

When the temperature drops.
Few people know park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady like former New England suit Scott Pioli.
The former general manager of the Belicheats and the Chiefs, while speaking on NFL Network, had a tremendous stat on Brady that should make Bucs fans smile.
To backtrack a bit, not long ag, the Bucs were a team when the temperature of the game was in the 30s or colder, simply froze and died. Brady, however, is the opposite. Pioli noted that when Brady has played in an AFC Championship game when it was 32 or below — in other words, freezing — he is 4-0.
“Tom Brady needs to channel his inner-New England Patriot,” Pioli said of Brady’s undefeated frozen record.
Joe likes the sound of this potential newfound Bucs tradition of playing in freezing weather.
The Green Bay forecast for kickoff at 3:05 p.m. tomorrow (2:05 p.m. Central Time)? 31 degrees.

the white jersey and pewter pants is a very good look and we seem to do pretty well in this color combination…
if we went into green bay in the prissy all white color rush unis, (which we unfortunately sported way too much this season) looking like brides to be, we’d be in deep do…

also back to the white on white look…i know, so off topic…
the pewter jersey on white pants would be pretty cool occasionally…
and like back in the days, the red jersey on white pants also would look chill here and there…
if the league allows it, a little more mixing and matching would be cool…and less white on white…
except early in the season…white on white for september and early to mid october home games is understandable…

Another good stat after watching the Saints games last week is GB’s special teams is ranked 29th. One less thing Bucs need to worry about. A little concerned, what is ME13’s record in 32° & below? I think you will see a big dose of Gronk tomorrow.

It is not like the teens or low 20’s. 31 degrees is refreshing for all the players–it does not hurt.

Speaking of ‘97, pull that video up on YouTube for a bittersweet trip down memory lane. Brady isn’t going Dilfer on us tomorrow with 9 of 31 and 2 INTs and our FG unit is miles ahead of “como esta Husted’s” performance in that game.
But watching Warren Sapp sack Farve 3 times and hearing Pat Summerall instead of Joe Buck is worth the 20 minutes.

Cold games favors offenses. Snow games really favor offenses. It slows down the game and there is nobody who can benefit more from this than Brady who is the master of reading coverages in real time.
The negative – a great defense cannot shine and basically both defenses struggle a bit.
Having said that, no snow and 31 degrees is warm weather by a lot of standards. Weather won’t be a factor.
