Devin White On Fire

January 24th, 2021

Beasting.

Man, that two-week trip to the COVID corner sure did a linebacker good.

Bucs inside linebacker Devin White was crazy good again today. That’s two games in a row, playoff games, against two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks that White has maybe had his two finest back-to-back games.

White didn’t have as many game-changing plays like he had in New Orleans, with a pick and a fumble recovery, White did pounce on a fumble caused by Jordan Whitehead and ran 21 yards to the Packers’ 8 yard line.

White was simply wilding on the Packers. He finished the game with 15 tackles!

Think about that: In an NFC Championship game.

Since White has returned from the COVID list, he has been chewing nails and frothing at the mouth. With a guy like that on defense, holy smokes, that is the pure definition of a game-wrecker.

I’m about to clean house with Ndog while wearing my tmaxipad cuz I’m a realist.

  2. Swampbuc Says:

I was wrong about him too. Glad to be wrong!

  3. OHBucFan Says:

45 is flat out nuts right now!

  4. Dew Says:

Think about this. Lightning won the Stanley Cup. Rays played in the World Series. And Bucs are going to the Super Bowl. All in the same season. And with the threat of Covid.

  5. Rojas Says:

Get live 45! Let’s also talk about Shaq and JPP feasting today with the return of Vea.

  6. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Bucs D has won 2 playoff games for us…NOW THE OFFENSE WILL WIN THE LOMBARDI!!!!

  8. Cobraboy Says:

    LOL @ What the Buc…

  9. Oxycondoms Says:

That break did him good . Having that late in the season bye week was big for the bucs leading into playoffs

  10. NaplesBucsFan Says:

We earned another bye week to get ready to bring home the trophy! Congrats to these men that have worked extremely hard to get here! I don’t see how we fail to win the big game in 2 weeks!

  11. rrsrq Says:

How bout SMB, all year we have been on this guy, all he has done in three games is get three picks

  12. David Says:

Shaq & JPP – co-MVPs for this game

  13. TGH Says:

Why were the Packers fans given big noise makers in the form of signs to beat on the chairs in front of them??? Glad it didn’t matter, but that was BS.

  14. Bird Says:

    Whatthebuc

    😂

Great post. Yah. All those clowns are scares to post
Ndog is now “Brady is a cheater”

    Where is lamarcus?
    Where is oneil?

    Super bowl or bust. 😂

  15. Bucfanforever Says:

Eli Manning is ineligible to play in the Super Bowl, right?

  16. Dew Says:

No doubt Tom Brady is this seasons MVP. Certainly not Rodgers

  17. David Says:

SMB is playing tight coverage and it’s been much better. He really, really, really needs to work on not grabbing the jersey when he has his hands on him. If he gets rid of that he’s going to be pretty damn good

  18. TheShaz Says:

Devin White needs to borrow a line from Rhonde Barber

PRO BOWL MY ASS! I”M GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL !!

  19. Joe Says:

beat on the chairs in front of them???

There aren’t too many chairs in that stadium. It is nearly entirely bleacher seats. As in a bench. No seatbacks.

  20. Colonel Angus Says:

How about that Washington Football team? I feel they have us the biggest challenge so far, maybe that Heinicke kid played his a$$ off and should get his props? Devin White is definitely making his name on the big stage, he will be a lock for Pro Bowls here on out.

  21. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Think AB & Winfield will heal….>Vea get stronger……don’t know about Whitehead…..

  22. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

Shaq was beastly today. Hard to “pick” a defensive mvp.

  23. Bucsd04 Says:

Whitehead dislocated shoulder or broken collar bone? With how hard he hits neither would surprise me.

  24. TGH Says:

Thanks for clarifying Joe, but you get my point. I thought there was a rule the NFL made about teams supplying giveaways that could create undue noise or distraction, thus a competitive advantage.

    @WhattheBuc

“I’m about to clean house with Ndog while wearing my tmaxipad cuz I’m a realist.”

    That was WELL played!

  26. NashvilleBuc Says:

If the Bucs is win the NFC championship and Tmax, NDog and Realist don’t post, does it make a sound?

  27. ModHairKen Says:

You know what is truly not discussed enough about Devin White? His strength. He stopped a guy running through the line at full speed and threw him backwards.

And this was not the first time.

  28. Will Says:

@Mod I saw that in this game and just thought it comes from working with his horses or something.

  29. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

Yeah he’s what you call a leader… Like Brady is! …. I was reeeeally thinking they would send him at Rogers more tonight… I thought the blitzes were there for the taking with white if they wanted it… But who am I to question the coach who just shut down the number one team in the NFC!!!! … What a game

  30. bojim Says:

Where are the guys that thought we shouldn’t have drafted him?

  31. Bob Says:

Vita Vea had a big influence on the defensive ends making big plays!

  32. FortMyersDave Says:

Have to admit I thought 5 overall was a bit high when the Bucs got #45 and thought they should have grabbed the edge rusher who ended up with the Jags but looks like I was wrong on that. White looks to be a centerpiece in the D for a long time to come! Great day to be a Buc fan, this one is right up with closing the Vet and blasting the Raiders 18 years ago. This win tops knocking Drew Brees into retirement!

  33. Upthegut Says:

Game MVP was Vita Vea. He ate up so many o linemen that Shaq and JPP had single coverage on them, so all they had to do was beat one man each. , which they did with regularity. Big Vita make Shaq and JPP successful.

  34. Rob Tanner Says:

@JoeBucsFan read DWhites tweets after the game about the super bowl! We good.

  35. Lakelandsteve Says:

Great team win. Offense played well, defense played well and Special teams played very well. Devin White has been the defensive MVP in the playoffs for the Bucs and will need another great performance from him to win the Super Bowl. I hate to use this term but Bucs almost seemed destined to win the Super Bowl. They have been underdogs the last two weeks and will be again in the Super Bowl but they have overcome so many things just to get there, don’t ever count them out. Congratulations NFC Champs!

  36. 813bucboi Says:

Whitehead hits like a freight train lol…

    GO BUCS

  37. FortMyersDave Says:

Nothing wrong with being the underdog Lakelandsteve! It has not been a problem for the past 2 weeks! Early lines from LV are in the 3 to 3.5 range. The over and under is high: 57.5. Hopefully the outcome is like this week when the media was all over the Pack but the smart money quietly moved the spread down from -4 to -3 and cut into the moneyline as well!

  38. adam from ny Says:

    white was balling…

    jpp was balling…

    shaq was balling…

even smb was doing a lil something…

The Defence jis playing Smash MOUTH football. Make bodies lay on the ground, take no prisoners.

Their six points favored in SB. My way of thinking is first game of the season W 0, L 0.
Now get out and Bust Ass. You’ll have plenty of time t o heal.
