Being Mr. Biscuit

January 28th, 2021

Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians.

There is no doubt in Joe’s mind that if the Bucs had meathead defensive coach as a head coach, who has such a tight arse he splits his pants down the crack just by passing gas, the Bucs would have lost to the Packers.

Tampa Bay beat the Packers thanks to the guy who made the no-risk-it, no-biscuit line famous, Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians, and his daredevil ways.

His decision to pull the special teams off the field and have park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady wing a 39-yard bomb to Scotty Miller to end the first half came from a guy who had the stones of a burglar.

That was Arians.

That is Arians.

A meathead we-cannot-risk-a-turnover defensive coach likely would have tried to run out the clock and thank his lucky stars he had a one-score halftime lead. Or be soulless enough not to even want points, right Lovie?

So today, Arians was asked where he got his daring personality. Arians basically said if you don’t take chances and push yourself, you may as well lock yourself in an attic.

“You can’t hit a home run unless you’re going to swing for one,” Arians said, apparently forgetting about Ozzie Smith. “You can’t do anything special in life sitting on a fence. The question back then was, ‘If there was a quarterback that was a free agent, who would you want?’ Of course, it was Tom Brady, not thinking he’d become a free agent.

“Once he did, it was a pursuit that we wanted to make and [we] knew he had some interest. That’s how you live life. Do you sit and live in a closet trying to be safe, [or are] you going to have some fun?”

Joe assumes this is not going to change one bit a week from Sunday in Super Bowl LV. If the Bucs don’t take chances to try to put points on the board — because you know Chiefs quarterback Pat Mahomes will — it’s hard to see how the Bucs can win.

Besides, isn’t the name of the game to have more points than the other guy?

He said in the post game that the Scotty Miller 4th down call was all Brady.

  2. CocoaBeachBuc Says:

Lovie hired by Texans as their DC..

  3. SB Says:

But, but, but, the sheep lover said that’s not true.

  4. SB Says:

LOL at the Texans!! Deshaun Watson is surely getting the heck out of there now

  5. CocoaBeachBuc Says:

If DeShaun Watson wasn’t quite ready to bail, this should wrap it up.

  6. Bkyrdbob Says:

Anyone know if they will be firing the cannons when we get 8n the red zone? If they fire the cannons for us, will they then fire the cannons for KC as well? I wasn’t sure if there would be different rules because it’s the super bowl.

  7. Joe Says:

    Bkyrdbob:

NFL runs the Super Bowl and tries to keep it neutral. So the cannons likely are a no go.

If the Bucs win the Super Bowl, sure would hope they… fire the cannons!

  8. Bird Says:

The guy who is head coach of the texans needs to be drug tested immediately. I heard it was a possibility of lovie smith hiring this morning. That just blows my mind. I mean he has to be a meth addict or something? Fentanyl dealer maybe ?
    😂

Anyways back to the article. Yah. I could see bucs going for 4th and 1 or 2 as long as not in terrible field territory. Chiefs can put of points in a hurry. Now they start slow at times. But when they are hot. They are hot. We need to get tds and not FGs

  9. SB Says:

I agree Joe. Pretty sure there won’t be any cannons. Which will be very weird for me

  10. SKBucsfan Says:

I’ve already downloaded an app to make my own cannon fire. It will annoy a few friends when I have to constantly use it all game.

  11. JimbobBucsFan Says:

Funny, I could of swore BA said that the decisions (there were two calls) were made at the suggestion of Byron Leftwich in consultation on the sidelines. BA “loved the idea”.

Did I misinterpret what I heard?

  12. Beeej Says:

Well, we can at least show them where the best tittie bars are located

  13. JimbobBucsFan Says:

The last I heard was that there will be no cannons fired in the Super Bowl. The NFL is calling the shots not Tampa Bay on this one.

The idea has been has been floated that they fire the cannons when either team scores a TD. How would you feel about that, Buc fans? (It would not bother me as we are the only stadium in the NFL that has the capacity. 🤯💣😆 🧨🤩 🏈)

  14. bojim Says:

You miss every shot not taken.

  15. Cainishere Says:

It’s hard for you to see how the Bucs will win? Seriously? Back in March, yours truly posted that this Bucs team was Super Bowl bound. Everyone doubted what I was saying. Behold, it has come true. Allow me to give you some REAL insight as to what is going to happen in this game. You are going to see this Bucs team completely shut the Chiefs down. Do you really think the shuffle pass and end arounds and Hill will win this game for them? You have got to be kidding. Several teams have been causing the Chiefs problems this year and in my opinion they are LUCKY. Well their luck is about to run dry in this game. I also want to put to rest all the other things I have heard such as…
Will Arians be back next year? Uh Yes he will.
Will Brady retire this season at the top of his game? Uh No he will be back next season even when he wins this game.
Will Gronk return as a Buccaneer? Um Yes he will.
Will Todd leave the Bucs for another team? No he won’t.
Will Byron leave this team for another? No he won’t
Will Antonio be back next season? Yes He will barring any court problems.
Will the Bucs score a QB to mold under Brady? Yes they will
Are the Buccaneers going to be able to keep the team intact? Yes they will.
I will leave you with this. Many players on this team will be HOF bound after this Super Bowl. It will be that kind of Buccaneer performance. You doubted me in March, try believing in them now.
    GOOOOOOOOOO BUCS!!!!!!!!

  16. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Lock yourself in an attic or dare I say……A BASEMENT?

  17. DavidBigBucFan99 Says:

I love how you and a lot of posters always bring him up but a lot of coaches would have done the same thing you accuse him of. Do you think that imbecile and his victory formation buster idea Schiano and Welcome Back Koetter whom you seem to love would have done any different? If that play hadn’t worked some people would have complained about even running it.

  18. BucEmUp Says:

I loved that particular end zone shot because the odds of the opposing team gaining points on that play are slim, my PROBLEM is how often they take deep shots and dont consider the time of posession. The playcalling has improved but still needs improvement. This is a very balanced team..Both the offense and defense have shown greatness and inconsistencies. The reason they win games is because when one is down the other is up. The cheifs are a different animal though. You have to.fight fire with fire and sustain long drives. Dont force your deep shots every possession. Take what they are giving and.keep their offense on the bench.

Love that play to Miller though, hes gotta be one of my favorite players who has replaced humph well

  19. RobbFlaSports Says:

Cain Cain Cain love the enthusiasm and I agree with most of your ‘book but you seem to forget Hill torched them for 3TD’s and 200+ yards in one half so probably best to give them a lot of respect and HOPE for a better showing… As far as predictions the QB in ‘waiting is already there in Blaine Gabbert….

  20. Delawest Says:

Well no Cannons, throw Biscuits in the end zone
Like the dogs use to do in Cleveland. Southern Biscuits 👊🏾

  21. Blue Coffee Says:

Yes Cainishere, you are damn right! You nailed it all! I agree 100%.
Especially for this super bowl. Our BUCS will win. Will it be an easy win? No. No super bowl is an easy win. But in the end, we will win by more than a possession.
The Chiefs will find it difficult to give 2 y passes to Kelce for a TD. Kelce will be in another company with our BUCS defense! Try it near Suh, or Vita Vea just for fun Mahomes, and good luck! It will not work.
I see 5 TDs for our BUCS, and a few field goals. (41 points? Why not?)
KC? 4TDs MAX. 1 FG? (31 points? Maximum.)

    BRADY=400 y, MEvans 100y 2TD, Miller 1TD, Godwin 80y 1TD, Gronk 1TD. Who will do the last of the 5 TD for the BUCS?,… Well,… Ho F&&&, Who cares!?

    GO BUCS!!!

  22. Joe Says:

I’ve already downloaded an app to make my own cannon fire. It will annoy a few friends when I have to constantly use it all game.

    AWESOME!

There was some dude in Largo back in the glory years of the Bucs who had a cannon (he built one) rigged up in his backyard. Every time the Bucs scored, he ran outside and fired the cannon. Some anal neighbors didn’t like it and called the cops on him and he had to shut it down. 🙁

  23. Joe Says:

Lock yourself in an attic or dare I say……A BASEMENT?

    Scotty:

There are no basements in Florida.

  24. JimbobBucsFan Says:

How many people have tornado shelters or wine cellars in Florida? I guess you would have to lock yourself in the bathroom. 😋😂

  25. August 1976 Buc Says:

If BA was coaching the Packers they would have gone for it at the 8 yard line. Just glad he is does not coach scared. GO BUCS!!!!!

  26. Cainishere Says:

Robb, I have not forgotten how the Chiefs torched the Bucs last time nor have I forgotten how the Saints torched the Buccaneers but we all see what happened to them didn’t we? You apparently have 0 faith in your team you supposedly care about, good luck being scared and miserable. As far as Blaine goes he is pure trash, NO THANKS!! Need someone new!
