Tom Brady A Walking Billboard

December 29th, 2020

“Bruce, who said we are not a good match?”

Yes, we all know that park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is an NFL superstar.

And what he is doing at 43 is no less than mind-blowing. Most dudes who still hang around in the NFL in their 40s are on their last legs.

Brady? He’s fourth in the NFL in touchdowns (36) and yards passed (4,234). That’s insane.

Does anyone think, short of Gisele serving him divorce papers if he doesn’t retire, that Brady won’t be back with the Bucs in 2021? Dude looks like he really could play at 45, which has long been his stated goal.

Brady is playing like he’s 33, not 43.

I think it seems incredible to say—because, you know, he’s had a decent career for himself—but 43-year-old Tom Brady just had the best four-quarter stretch of his football life. Over the last two quarters of the win at Atlanta and the first two quarters at the Toledo Mudhens (did I actually write that?), Brady’s line: 43 of 56, 76.8 percent accuracy, 668 yards, six touchdowns, zero picks, 151.5 rating. How can a 43-year-old person do this? I don’t know, but TB12 supplements might be flying off virtual shelves this week. Brady is getting hot at the right time, his receivers are healthy, and the Bucs will be a tough out in January.

Yes, all kidding aside about the TB12 sales (Joe knows foot-rubbing, car-littering Bucs tight end Rob Gronkowski is a TB12 user, as is Bucs wide receiver Scotty Miller), the Bucs are getting hot as a firecracker at the perfect time.

You want to be hitting your peak at Christmas time, not hitting a wall like the Chiefs are of late.

Great timing there.

  1. Buc Bro Says:

After 15 games Brady is the best QB this franchise has ever had. If you disagree you just are drunk or don’t know the game.

  2. Usedtocould Says:

The entire thing has just been a ploy to sell supplements. Diabolical

  3. zzbuc Says:

Nailed it Buc Bro!!! 100% agree with you my men…and I would also add, ME13 is the best WR the Bucs ever had….

  4. Blogtalkfootball.com Says:

I can’t wait for the Falcons game!

  5. Beeej Says:

The true test will be if/when we play the slimy Saints again

  6. sgrd0q Says:

It is inspirational what Brady is doing at 43 or Roger Federer is doing at the tennis court at 39. It shows that if you truly love your sport and do the best you can in terms of preparation, conditioning and nutrition you can outlast the average player by a lot.

  7. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Tom Brady has not only brought wins…..he’s brought relevance to an irrelevant Bucs franchise……
I can’t even imagine how many additional armchair fans (in particular women) Brady has commandeered.
The sports media is paying more attention to the Bucs than ever before…and that’s including our SB win.

I would not be a bit surprised if Brady stays on beyond 2021……as long as he is producing, healthy & having fun….he’ll play.

  8. Brad Says:

Buc Bro. It was Jameis, but you’re right. Brady after this year is now already the best QB we have ever had. This has been the single greatest season of any Buccaneer QB.

  9. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

BucBro Brady is winning with Jameis’s team!

  10. August 1976 Buc Says:

    Buc Bro 100%

  11. MIkey Macfly Says:

Isn’t it a guarantee TB will be back in 2021? He signed a two year contract.

  12. Youngbucs Says:

Joe I just was looking at where we rank rushing. Only for teams are worst Brady doesn’t get enough credit for what he doing. There’s a myth that he has some dominant run gm something the previous QB didn’t have.

  13. Youngbucs Says:

    Four

  14. UGotRobbed Says:

I’m 60+, maybe I should check the TB12 stuff out..lol! If they handle the dirty birds as they ought to, then I might just do a couple of back flips to celebrate (with the help of TB12 Fountain of Youth Elixir)!!

  15. I CARE NOW Says:

ME13 credits TB12 Sports as the reason everyone is staying healthy this year.

  16. SlyPirate Says:

Brady has been a godsend. No argument. Let’s give a shout out to a QB no one ever talks about: Brad Johnson. In 2002 Brad threw for 3000 yards, 22 TD, 6 INTs, and of course won the Super Bowl.

  17. Clean House Says:

Agreed Sly Pirate Brad Johnson handled his business.
Winston was a massive raw talent.
GOAT is the GOAT and is showing why, and man is it fun.

  18. Boxscore Says:

Have to chuckle at all you Buccaneers fans who are looking at Brady as the messiah. For twenty years you were calling him a cheat. How do you spell hypocrites. Buccaneer fans.

  19. David Says:

    Boxwhore –
Whatever loser. That’s how it is with every single team and their fan base with any player, at any position, that they trash and then the player is traded or signs with their team.
I’m sure New England fans have said plenty about Cam Newton over the years and now this year they tried to love him… But he sucks

  20. David Says:

    JOE…
Remember when the Buccaneers had Joey Galloway and Antonio Bryant and Michael Clayton( who suddenly couldn’t do anything but block)?
Remember the offensive mastermind that is allegedly John Gruden having trouble utilizing Bryant and Galloway at the same time? LOL
As much as I like Gruden, pretty damn funny and lame and pathetic.

I always wondered what the truth was with that.
By that logic, when Evans is on the field, Godwin, Gronk, and Brown should all be benched because it’s too much to handle. LoL

  21. Joe Says:

Remember the offensive mastermind that is allegedly John Gruden having trouble utilizing Bryant and Galloway at the same time? LOL

On face value, Gruden was absolutely correct. In the big picture he was stupid.

Yeah, one guy cannot play the X-receiver and the other guy couldn’t play the Y-receiver. OK, got it. But hey pal, you are the coach. Coach ’em up! You make the big bucks.

Besides, you get your best players on the field. Period. Football 101.

  22. David Says:

    Joe. Exactly.
Look at Evans and Godwin. I’ve seen both playing the X, Y and slot this year.

Love Gruden but that was pretty ridiculous.
    How ‘bout them Raiders!?

  23. Listnfrmafar Says:

How do you include Brad Johnson and Tom Brady in the same sentence. Johnson’s offensive was just as good and the defense was sick. Brady’s presence has turned this franchise from a loser mentality to believers. He should bottle, market and sell that as TB12 Dream Juice. Drink up fans 1 more week to PO’s. Swallow whatever needed to prevent a setback this weekend.

  24. Waynezank Says:

I’m a diehard Patriots fan, living in Boston. I hope you all enjoy what Tom Brady has brought to you in Tampa Bay. We were blessed to watch him go to 9 superbowls in 20 years. Just incredible. Hope Tampa wins it this year with the Goat. And you are right Cam Newton SUCKS. 34 yards passing against Buffalo, FOR THE ENTIRE GAME. Hope you all realize what you have with Tom. Super bowl bound.

  25. Listnfrmafar Says:

I am from New England as well. Cam gave it his best, can’t fault him for that. He did not turn out to be the douche many thought he would be but he is no Brady. Enjoy the ride Bucs fans it’s worth the price of admission. FYI there are probably as many NE fans watching your team as there are Bucs. Keep winning give us something to cheer for.
