Brady Gives Bucs Confidence

December 20th, 2020

Bucs in good hands with No. 12.

So that is twice this year the Bucs, down 17 at halftime, have rallied with a furious second half to get a win.

After the game, Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians admitted he’s frustrated as to why the offense hides in the early going, only to bust out of a cage in the second half.

Was Arians surprised with the second-half outburst? Not necessarily. And why was that? Well, there is some guy named “Brady” behind center for the Bucs.

Mr. Six Rings has seen it and done it in the NFL. Multiple times. So long as Brady is on the field, Arians believes the Bucs have a shot no matter the score at halftime.

“He is just a winner,” Arians said of Brady. “He knows how to do it. Tom has always been a fourth-quarter player.”

Well, this time it took the third quarter this afternoon, too. But Joe gets what Arians meant.

When the Bucs have a guy with the street cred like Brady has, there is no need to panic, even though Joe is sure most Bucs fans were. Joe included.

It’s almost like Brady brings leadership to the Bucs. Leadership, what a concept.

  2. Zzbuc Says:

    Love the win love TB12
But if we wanna make a move on playoffs we need to be more consistent ok both sides of the ball Not just offense if we dont we will be in trouble

Can’t say I’ve been terribly impressed with Tommy B late in the 4th. However, he is a (Billy Fucillo) HUUUUUGE upgrade from Jay Miss.

  4. Jameisgirl1 Says:

Last week was ridiculous with Goodell sitting in the stands. I can’t believe it happened again this week when he apparently wasn’t in the stadium. Officiating has been horrible which has been good for the Bucs. This team is winning all the way around with the qb change. Officiating, finally drafted o line, have a kicker and 3 nfl running backs!!! Gonna make the playoffs and maybe win a Super Bowl with the officiating! Kinda feels empty and y’all know it does…

  5. Mike Says:

The defense was too bad. You cannot give up early many scores like that.

  6. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

If Brady and the defense could play the 1st half the way they did the 2nd, there would smaller need to play that way in the 2nd half. Offense could pretty much do what it wants and the defense could pin its ears back. That Giants game was the turning point in this season where the 1st half wheels on this bus just flew off. They’ve never been the same. It sucks because I want to believe they always have a chance with Brady at the helm.

  7. Robert Says:

It was pretty clear who was calling the shots after half time and it wasn’t bubba…er BL

The difference was night and day and should start in the 1st qtr

Let TB make the game plan

  8. Allbuccedup Says:

Next year make Brady player coach he gets everyone to perform at there best.

  9. Jmarkbuc Says:

Brady already said earlier that he’d like to see more midweek planning.. or something to that effect…

    What does that tell you?

That’s where Belichick and Brady were good together. Bill had the team in line, and Tom lead it…

  10. Wesley Says:

He’s had a good season. Especially considering there was no preseason and less minicamp days.

  11. B-U-C C-A-N E-E-R-S Go Bucs! Says:

Zero chance we win that game if Jay Miss is at the helm. Yeah Brady has been shaky at times and has been iffy on deep balls but he’s a straight up winner. We’ve won at least three games this year we would’ve lost last year when the D let us down.

  12. MtBucsfan Says:

Maybe Brady is bored and just wants to keep having to come back. That’s got to be it!
It’s probably not fun dropping 50 points on teams every game lol.

  13. Jameisgirl1 Says:

Brady is a winner. That’s why the Bucs are getting all of these penalties in the second halves of games. Can’t beat good teams so the nfl helps out with the mediocre teams… it’s great for the Bucs!!! Finally winning!!! Hopefully this officiating will last all the way to the super bowl!! Looks like Peyton when he won his last one..

  14. Jameisgirl1 Says:

Also, can’t believe with all of the upgrades that this team looks this bad 15 games into the season. Should be blowing teams out instead of getting bailed out by the refs in second halves of games. The goat can’t start a td drive without 30 yards of penalties to jump start it. At least Mike Evans looks pissed after every catch instead of acting like he is hurt. Better win it it this year. If not.. blow it up and keep Godwin, marpet, white and brate..only good ones on this team..

  15. italnsd Says:

Jameisgirl1, I can feel your enthusiasm for our team being finally in reach of the playoffs, after so many years. It is so refreshing to see a rational fan lamenting referees decisions in favor of his own team. A team that he is already looking to disband, no matter its winning record. Obviously, it’s our glorious history of continued excellence that makes you such a nitpicker of the present success. Fans have the team they deserve. You deserved the past ones.

Best thing I’ve ever read on this consistently negative blog from this ridiculously negative fan base.
Joe loves when a guy complains about negativity and types a post that’s all negative and filled with falsehoods. Classic!–Joe
Such a small percentage of y’all deserve getting the GOAT and crew for these last few seasons of greatness. I have now determined Bucs fans (and this blog author “Joe”) are the absolute worst. No wonder why the Bucs have been so awful for so long. Who’d want to play in Tampa or stay when you have “fans“ like this?

  17. Oneilbucs Says:

We have to play better than this because we haven’t beaten a good team yet besides the Packers . All the playoff teams we lost to we got blown out . I’m glad we won but I can’t get to happy about the way we are winning because we are struggling against bad teams . Just making the playoffs is not good enough because Brady is 43 years old. If he was 33 or 35 I would be ok with just making the playoffs for this year . Next year we have no money and we have all these players on one year deals . Plus Mike , Godwin , Shaq , and David we have to think about paying . So that’s why it’s superbowl or bust this year for me !!!

“All the playoff teams we lost to we got blown out .”
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    KC 27, Bucs 24
    LA 27, Bucs 24

Do you really think losing by 3 points is getting “blown out”? Maybe you’re thinking of hockey, soccer, or baseball?

  19. Oneilbucs Says:

All those games were lost earlier in the game they made it look with the score . But those games were already over . Again if we playe like this we ain’t winning in the playoffs .

  20. Joe in Michigan Says:

Oneilbucs: You just proved you don’t know about football. Did you watch the game yesterday? Was the game over after the first half? Dude, you really need to start making sense.

  21. Listnfrmafar Says:

Chicago & Rams no discipline stupid penalties everywhere, u saw the frustration in Brady’s face, he is not used to that. It appears his leadership is infectious and with a wild card like Gronk who has been on board from the start how can one buck the system (no pun intended). KC and Saints are seasoned teams that are in sync, Bucs are getting there I think Arians should show some sense if urgency when game planning.
