This Ain’t The AFC East

Talks division differences.

One reason some fans were sure the Bucs would whip up on the slimy Saints last Sunday was the history of park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, jet-ski-losing Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.

Brady, in his glorious six-rings career with the Belicheats, had never lost twice in a season to a division foe.

Of course the cynics scoffed that Brady was no longer playing in the worthless AFC East where division opponents were known in some circles as Moe, Larry and Curly.

To say over the past 20 years the Bills, Dolphins and Jets were inept is something of an understatement. One reason Brady won six rings is the Belicheats nearly had a free ride to a bye week to begin the playoffs because the AFC East was so lame.

Now Brady is in the NFC South where competition is a bit stiffer. Brady offered his take on how the NFC South differs from the AFC East.

“Definitely there is a lot of offense in the NFC South,” Brady said. “There [are] good conditions for scoring. A little different than where I’ve been where a lot times games dictated a certain style of play based on weather conditions – wind, rain, snow. This is pretty much [such that] conditions are ideal for scoring pretty much every week.

“We’ve had a few tough weather games – actually, we’ve probably had more wind than what we’re used to and a little bit of precipitation. It’s a tough division. There are a lot of good players [and] good quarterbacks. You’ve got to be on it every week.”

Of course, the Bucs have yet to play the Dixie Chicks. That’s a good offense as well.

With the possible exception of the AFC North or the NFC West, Joe doesn’t know if there is a better division for quarterbacks than the NFC South.

Every NFL fan knows the AFC East has always been a weak division…………….Brady finally knows how the boys in the South play ball.

    ……and he’s losing too…….not rocket science

Everyone is chalking up the Falcons as two free wins. They are 3 mistakes from being in contention for a wildcard. Raheem has buy in and they are playing good football right now. I certainly hope we sweep them but a split could be in the cards and that would suck.
I would like to see Raheem get redemption arter getting gutted of any talent after he had a coach of the year performance with a crap roster.
I just hate that it would be in our division.
