Breathe Easy, Bucs Fans

November 8th, 2020

Joe’s calling for calm.

The Bucs are 6-3. Tell yourself that five times.

Seattle (6-2) had its doors blown off in Buffalo today.

Arizona (5-3) choked away a home game.

The Bucs have three games remaining against bad division opponents and two more against losing teams. The good guys in pewter and red were awful tonight, simply horrible, but Joe’s confident this team is better than most.

Worried about the 5-3 Rams coming to Tampa? Ok. But they’re really not special.

The Bucs don’t look like a Super Bowl team, but there’s plenty of time to make that happen. Tom Brady is still the quarterback and the talent pool is the same as it was 24 hours ago.

Sometimes it’s good for a team to get humbled and have its collective teeth kicked in.

Yeah, the Bucs are not as good as the Saints. Not in the same league, and it sucks. But the season isn’t lost. Breathe easy, Bucs fans, and it’s on to Carolina.

This team is a fraud. Posers.

  2. 407buc Says:

If we cant beat the Saints we cant beat any playoff caliber team. We’re a complete joke and the fact i bought into the hype shows my own stupidity. Im done with the season

  3. DBS Says:

But the secondary sucks. So what do you do about that?

  4. knucknbuc Says:

lmao hard to pick out a player who played the worst tonight… donovan smith? tom brady? devin white? jamel dean? gronk? mclendon? jpp? pinion? lvd? byron leftwich? arians? bowles? this is an entire team collapse of a loss amazing to be honest. i think succop played good…

  5. unbelievable Says:

    Who cares?

This team will get blown out by anyone on the post season.

Forget about breathing. Start thinking about the fact that Brady, Gronk, Suh and JPP will all be gone and we’re starting our 6th rebuild since Chucky left next season.

  6. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Unless this happens next week I am not worried yet. usually when these games happen it’s our last chance to have a snow balls chance at the playoffs

  7. unbelievable Says:

    You’re not worried yet?

We looked pathetic against the Giants and even more pathetic tonight against a real team.

We peaked week 5 lol, and now we’re gonna do what we always do.

  8. Anonymous Says:

Doesn’t matter how many we win after this. Tonight we showed the league that we are not up to task against a contender and even if we make the plays offs we getting bounced 1st round. We are a wild card team through and through NOT a super bowl team. But hey if making playoffs is god enough for you then more power to you. This team is only getting worse after the off season.

  9. Bucsfan1988 Says:

Seattle may have lost but they put up THIRTY FOUR points!!!

    It’s 38 to ZILCH in this game…

Embarrassing coaching job on both sides!!

    STUPID COMPARISON!!!

  10. the_end Says:

Its over. This team is cursed. Glazers please sell this team cause yall have no idea how to run a franchise.

  11. EA Says:

I honestly don’t know what the F is going on, this is just totally unprepared, unacceptable.

  12. Will Says:

This playing our DBs off so often needs to quit. Bowles did in the Green Bay game the defense was scared to make a play early. Well in this game he was scared to make the calls in the 1st half. Sean Payton did they saw a lot of zone and prevent in the 1st half. RU kidding me Dre Brees eats that up just like he did. Offense let the defense down when they did get stops though and that’s on BL. All these weapons and this is what you put on the field. SLAP YOURSELF!!

  13. GainesvilleBuc Says:

I really think the Saints just out coach the crap out of us. Leftwich is not a great play caller. If we are on win now mode Aries needs to step in. The fact we threw three times from the two yard line and are having Brown run option routes after five days of practice in a two minute drill is dumb. It’s a total fall tonight. Team effort. Saints offensive and defensive line are just better than ours, but coaching is killing us.

  14. Gettinthebucs Says:

Donavan smith has had a horrible game. These are the type of games that keep him from being an elite tackle and an average one.

  15. Gofortheface30 Says:

Seattle Scored 34 points and showed fight. There are levels. To say the Bucs came out flat would be grossly underselling such a disgusting, embarrassing performance that was put out there. Thoroughly outcoached, out-schemed, uninspiring – the saints d line making our offensive line look like a bunch of twinks. Mike Evans doing mike Evans things and not getting open and getting owned by Lattimore. Can list a million diff things. Do you realize that this Sunday night game may have broken some records in terms of ratings? All eyes across the US on Tampa and Bruce arians got pegged, this TEAM got pegged. It is not hyperbole at all to say that this is the most embarrassed I have ever been by far to be a Bucs fan and we deserve ALL the blowback we will get this week. No one will be able to un-see this. What an absolute joke and pathetic embarrassment that was

  16. JimmyJack Says:

Thanks Joe. We obvisously dont matchup with this team. I fear we cant beat any team with a great passrush.

I am wildly dissapointed but I am breathing easy. I hoped for a SB team this year but figured all along that it taking 2 years was most realistic.

  17. Seattle Buc is back in TB Says:

Team looks like they cashed it in the second AB moved into Brady house. Every coach and player flat out sucked including my favorite player LVD. He’s giving up TDs every game. Clapping his hands and letting his man run right by. Armwood High School could have beaten the Bucs tonight. What an embarrassment.

  18. Of course Says:

    Seattle lost by 10.

    Stop your crap JOES.

This team are nothing but frauds. All of them.

  19. Of course Says:

This team never had a reason to not be humble joes.

This was the worst I’ve ever seen. And it’s at home and with all these weapons.

    Just absolutely pathetic.

    F these frauds and losers.

  20. Pewter Power Says:

Those teams have nothing in common. Can’t be getting blown out by the team in your division like what they do is some mystery. They got exposed by the freaking giants and every win from here on out is a question mark you don’t deserve on paper wins at this point losing is one thing but not like this. They play like cowards every time we play the Saints and deserve every joke coming their way for the rest of the year. Hot garbage every prime time game this year

  21. Drunkinybor Says:

Starting to remind me of he Eagles they just had our number. In the immortal words of Derrick Brooks “We’ll be back!” Its time for a different philosophy on how to attack the Aints. Maybe history will repeat itself instead of Gru to Sapp Arians tells JPP I got there blitzes I know their scheme if we see em again we will shred em.

  22. unbelievable Says:

    Leftwich is garbage.

Most uncreative playcaller in the league. They’ve only put up points due to the sheer talent.

As soon as they face a good defense, they wilt like a little flower. And Brady seems scared in prime time.

  23. Frank Pillow Says:

    Sean+Dennis > Bruce+Byron+Todd

    Simple math

  24. Soggy Says:

Thanks Joe for the kind words..

  25. Snook Says:

5th slow start in last 6 games. Is someone going to acknowledge this is a big problem?

  26. #1bucfan Says:

Yea this was a terrible night. Like seriously what’s up with this offense? On to the the next game. Let’s go Bucs

  27. Miketb19 Says:

Man some of you guys on here call yourselves Bucs fans because we got kicked in the tweet by a good team it’s not like go blown out by the Jets.

This team is still 6-3 which is the best record for this team in over a decade sometimes you need to get humbled by good team just like what we did to the packers 3 weeks ago they made adjustments and the following week Rodgers throws 4 TDS

The seasons not over yet there’s still a long way to go before any curtain drop on 2020. Let’s go CAR get back on track and keep improving

I just don’t see why people just automatically assume this is going to go 16-0 in a season even great teams are allowed to have a few bad games it’s how they react and if you look after a loss this season this wins the next 3 I can work with that.

  28. "Kick Touda Gooch" Says:

Did anyone else see Brady’s demeanor tonight? This dude is a flat out openly expressive in your face baller, but not tonight in any way shape or form. To me its obvious the team plays off this guy’s competitive nature and he had zero tonight. This guy elevated a team onto his back and boom.. kicking some ass to sucking alot of wind tonight! Maybe Joe can investigate into this more? I bet somethings up. What do my fellow fans think?

  29. Sesteprenelicus Says:

Bucs got swept by the Saints in 2002, and yet won the Super Bowl. So it’s a good thing!

  30. Bucfandan Says:

The bucs better come out and blow the doors off the stinking panthers for this embarrassing lost tonight is all I know

  31. D-Rome Says:

The Bucs are not a Super Bowl caliber team. It’s nice to be 6-3 but that’s it. The Bucs will not be the first “home” team in Super Bowl history.
