Tom’s House

October 4th, 2020

“Wait till I get your arse in my house, Drew.”

Yes, the Bucs are 3-1 for the first time since 2011.

And the Bucs have started their home record in the Den of Depression at 2-0. Impressive stuff.

Should we be surprised?

Joe has been calling the stadium the Bucs play in on Dale Mabry Highway the “Den of Depression” for good reason. Bucs fans leave depressed from that place far, far more than they leave happy.

No NFC team has lost more home games since the end of the 2007 season than the Bucs. In fact, the Bucs haven’t had a winning record at home since their last playoff season in 2007. That is absolutely shameful and speaks to how awfully the Bucs have been built and coached during the Lost Decade.

But now they are 2-0 at home. And Joe (sarcastically) wonders why that is.

It seems it is the magic coming from park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Bucs quarterback Tom Brady. The new/old Bucs quarterback is now 2-0 at home.

In fact, Brady has never lost a regular season game in the Den of Depression. He is 4-0 at the stadium on Dale Mabry Highway.

Should Joe start calling the place “Tom’s House?”

Or is this just another example of Brady Magic?

[There is a reason why Joe linked that stat to Brady’s gamelogs. Because Joe just knew some smart alec would try to say Joe’s wrong. — Joe]

The Den of Depres (the “sion” is 40% of the five wins needed to retire this moniker) will soon be the Den of Delight!

  12. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Yeah, that Tom Brady with a 5-1 stat line just sucks! (sarcasm) However, if Justin Watson could run an out properly, that wasn’t gonna be a pic 6.
#noGodwin;injured Evans; injured Howard; suckitNdog; Excuses are for losers!!!!!!!!!!(realist exclamation points)

  13. Roy T. Buford Says:

Had this been last year’s QB, he would have thrown for 450 yards, 3 INTs, and the Bucs would have lost by 2. And the Bucs would be 1-3.

    BL MAGIC

we have a future HC calling plays….

The question is, will BL be calling plays for the Bucs or Texans next year…

  16. Jason Mclaurin Says:

I think you should continue to call it that. Now the other team leaves depressed.

  17. Steve Gaudreau Says:

Damn that was a good game. I don’t think tyrod Taylor is going to get his job back. The numbers the kid put up are just insane. Luckily Tommy is still the clutch goat he is. Another pick 6 though. The chargers were hanging tough but not tough enough to beat TB12 in his house! As a Patriots fan, I miss this. Go Bucs!

  18. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Que Run DMC music WHO’S HOUSE???? TOM’S HOUSE! He keeps slinging it like that at home and they’ll be playing it at home! Got no problemas wit that senore!!!

I have been dying for the Joes to lose the name ‘Den of Depression’. It’s always bothered me. Felt like it made losing even worse. But I suppose it was fair in retrospect. It’s amazing to see how one player (the greatest QB of all time) can make a team believe it’s a winner, and put a team on his back. Tom’s House is ok with me!

  20. Buczilla Says:

Naw, it’s just an example of having a good quarterback again. No sorcery is afoot sirs.

  21. james west Says:

tom’s house, sounds like a good name of a tavern, cheers everyone, and a big salute to Mr Suh, hell of a play, turned the tide, gave us a shot, 3-1 oh yeah, i feel good, so good uh huh

  22. Oneilbucs Says:

We beat a team that has a lot of injuries and I still think that if they would have had James it probably would have been a different story today . But I will take wins like this all day long . We have to play better than this because we ain’t going to beat the Chiefs playing like this .
