A Hall of Fame running back is pretty stoked about what’s happening at One Buc Palace.
In the eyes of former Bills running back and NBC Sports analyst O.J. Simpson, the best team in football can be found in Tampa. That would be the Bucs.
Simpson cut what looks to be a cell phone video to offer up observations of the NFL as Week 8 began. And Simpson believes the signing of Antonio Brown means the Bucs are now the king of the NFL mountain.
“Going on that offense, with Tom Brady throwing the ball that he has been throwing lately, even the long ball. … He looks like Russell Wilson putting air under the ball throwing downfield in recent weeks,” Simpson said.
“You add Antonio Brown to that mix — I’ve got to admit: I thought Kansas City was the best team in football. But if Antonio shows up and [is] Antonio and the football player he is capable of being, I think [the Bucs] are the best team in football.”
Joe’s mind just whirls almost out of control thinking of what level the Bucs offense might reach if Brown — if he behaves — plays like he did in Pittsburgh.

Oh Joe, Antonio Brown winning an endorsement from OJ Simpson just boggles my mind. But that’s a story for another day …
Not sure what to think of the Bucs ‘king of the mountain’ nomination. Much more fun to sneak up on folks, beat the crap out of them, take their lunch money, then sneak up on the next village.
Bucs are winning now because for the 1st time in many years we’re fielding a COMPLETE TEAM. Our offense is #3 in scoring & is on-track to put up over 500 pts this year. Our defense is #8 in Points Allowed, is improving steadily, and is kicking butt in the turnover department especially.
Folks don’t mention our Special Teams much, but Succop & Pinion are gold. Succop is 11 for 13 in FGs made right now & the only 2 that he’s missed have been the longer ones (also 25 of 26 in XPs which is great). Pinion is fantastic IMO, with 40 of 44 touchbacks & a 45 yd average.
Bucs have a great blend of experience & youth, with literally everyone performing at a high level. And in addition we’ve got better depth at most positions than we’ve had in many years. Still … take NOTHING for granted. One game at a time.

Great observation about “complete” teams. When we entered the season I felt great about the defense…very hopeful about the offense…given our past history with ST’s…and kickers in particular…ST’s were my biggest concern.
But as you point out they have been a very pleasant surprise and they are now holding their own as being equal to our O and our D. I hold my breath for every special teams play…they scare me because too many mistakes and possible big plays are out there…at least this year I’m breathing a little easier.

Lol Adam. Reminds me of when I saw Disturbed before they were famous. They opened for Slipknot and Slayer. They were freaking amazing! Second best band of the night. Slip knot put on a high energy darn good show back then. Then I heard them on the radio and loved them again. Then they got famous and I didn’t love them so much any more.
