The scenario of Evans going down and AB taking over and contributing significantly down the stretch and then causing problems having to be cut late in the season makes absolutely no sense….. Of course AB causing problems makes no sense. You sort of made the point. –Joe
If Evans goes down and AB contributes then that is better than him not being there at all……
The bottom line is….this is a limited risk/downside and a huge upside or at the very least a fantastic insurance policy.

  2. Bucsboi239 Says:

It absolutely makes sense to sign A.B. as insurance in case one of our wideouts go down… Do you think it makes sense to sure up our back end on defense by giving up a first round pick to New England for Stephon Gilmore and sign Earl Thomas which would give us the best defense in the league

  3. Hawk Says:

I agree, TBBF. Also, if AB is playing because Evans goes down, AB won’t be complaining about his targets.

  4. Hank Rearden Says:

With the continued injuries at WR, this pod is not aging well.

  5. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Pick your 3 WR Set

    Evans Godwin Miller
    Evans Godwin Johnson
    Evans Godwin Watson
    Evans Godwin Grayson
    Evans Godwin Brown

    Put that in a poll…

Let’s see what happens. The gain far exceeds the risk. There’s nothing keeping the Bucs from cutting Brown if he screws up. This doom and gloom about him is just needless hand wringing. Besides if we didn’t sign him, Seattle was poised to. So as Arron Rogers said before RELAX and see how this plays out.

    I enjoyed this week’s segment.

Regarding Licht’s (and other’s) reaction to you twitter comment in reference to the Bears game (and calling these people sensitive Sally snowflakes), as someone who has been posting here for five years and has been on moderation from his very first post (no profanity, no vicious attack on the Joes), I know that the sensitivity can go both ways.

Since that time, I’ve been recognized a few times for nice contributions by one Joe or the other, but moderation remains.

No offense to the Joes as I enjoy the site and its content, but I think Antonio Brown would have a better chance of staying off moderation on here than some of us who are sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for minor transgressions long ago.
