Franchise History!

October 25th, 2020

Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians.

Is this just a two-game fluke, or are the Bucs turning into one of the NFL’s most dominant teams?

In the past two games, the Bucs won by margins of 28 and 25 points, beating the previously undefeated Packers and the Raiders on the road.

Per the Bucs, this has never happened before in Bucs history. The team has never had back-to-back wins of 25-or more points.

Neh-vah!

Are we witnessing something special? Maybe. Joe is guessing dominant teams are the ones who do this.

(For those wondering, the Super Bowl Bucs started 9-2).

Consider it’s not like the Bucs beat the awful clownish Cowboys and the rotten Redskins back-to-back. The Packers came into the Den of Depression undefeated with an offense thought to be unstoppable. The Raiders, with special talent up and down the roster with a red hot quarterback, were coming off a bye and in their last game beat the Super Bowl champion Chiefs in their own crib.

The Bucs are 5-2 (should be 6-1). So the Bucs need, say, five more wins in the next nine games for 10 wins, which should get them in the playoffs. The last time the Bucs were 5-2 was 2010, which was the last time the team had double-digit wins. That season, the Bucs lost a wild card tiebreaker to the eventual Super Bowl-champion Packers.

This year each conference added an additional playoff berth.

The way this team is playing, 10 wins sure seems easily attainable.

Joe feels like he’s in the middle of some Twilight Zone episode. The Bucs are 5-2? Is Joe on an airplane that broke the time barrier and is now in prehistoric times?

Yeah heck of a position to be in. Was thinking …have to be real with two dominant wins against good teams. Some of the toughest teams we will face rest of year in regular season. Just can’t let it go to our heads

Didn’t think of that one. 🙂

Man when the Glazer Boys go all in they mean business Joe! Apparently as long as you can produce on the field and contribute to wins your criminal background is an after thought (looking at you AB!) And no im bot just talking about AB, they took a chance on Fournette as well. If what they said about Fournette is true and TB12 got him in check i know he’ll do the same for AB. Something tells me the AB signing will work out great.

  6. HumptyDumpty Says:

On the NFL postgame show Tony Gonzalez and Howie Long both said they believe that Tampa Bay is the most complete team in the NFL right now.

There is something special going on. As a Bucs fan since 1976, I’m having the most fun as I can ever remember. It is due to Tom Brady. We’ve had talent the last couple years, but he’s brought something special that has affected the whole team to a new level. I don’t care how old he is, the man can still play. I’m surprised by the AB signing, but don’t care. The team will keep him in line or he will be gone. He might just add to the team also. I’m so sick of losing, I’m going to enjoy this.

It’s a damn good looking 5-2 too! They’ve had a couple of bad games but they’ve steadily improved on offense and continued to excel on defense. If they had preseason games, they’d most likely be undefeated.

  9. ModHairKen Says:

The Bucs have been 5 dash 2 before. People. Just play the next game.

  10. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

1st off of course give it a rest man and grow up you’re worse than a high schooler!

2nd the Packer game wasn’t a fluke not just because of our win against them but also how they curb stomped the Texi cants . Also the Raiders win put an exclamation point on our notice to the NFL, Brady is not too old, Gronk is back, Godwin and and Evans are almost back and this defense is for real!

  11. Rod Munch Says:

Man… the stupid Seahawks look great.

It is fun to once again, first time since 2002, to be watching other top teams and thinking how the Bucs will matchup with them deep in the playoffs.

    Go Bucs!!!

Best win of the year. I liked it better that GB.

    1. Methodical, turnover free offense.
    2. Solid defense, sacked QB, created TO.
    3. Turned the dial up in the 4th to close the game.

That’s how championship teams play. This team has an identity. They’ll be tough to beat the rest of the season.

    @davidbucsfan

You must be new and haven’t had to deal with those two a$$ho les talk crap to everyone who dared to question the bust Winston the 5 years.

So STFFFFFUUUUUU. So I will say it every single day!!!!

    Kick rocks

Those people who still doubt the Bucs just dont exist.

You cannot deny that the Bucs are legitimate contenders after todays victory. Not possible.

Our next step is to beat the Saints and take full contol of our division. Which means we must get to 6-2 on Monday Night.

The Saints have the advantage of getting us on a short week. But we are not the same team that played them in Week 1. We are playing much better football. I give us the advantage that we are the better team overall. We shall see but firstlets destroy the Giants please. Redeem last years loss.

    GO BUCS!!!!

  17. Tampabaybucfan Says:

As far as the playoffs are concerned, our path is getting better….

Giving the Central to Green Bay & the West to Seattle…….and the north (who cares)
Our competition for a playoff spot if we don’t win the division will be with
Chicago then the West teams…SF, Rams, Arizona……and they all have to play each other.

  18. ModHairKen Says:

    5 dash 2 in 1995.

  19. 123urout Says:

Having Tom Brady in the locker room, inspires both offense, defense and the coaches. Go Bucs !

  20. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Bruh I’ve been up here before you ever heard of joebucsfan.com so you know nothing. Realist has been sand in your panties irritating up here for years. Quite a few chumps like yew have come and gone but Realist stays. If we go back to our losing ways he’ll show back up. You doing your juvenile little thing is in the same boat as him. You and a few others up here really don’t know what the word bust means. You people obviously use more than football reasons why you hate Winston SO so much. Once again grow up. If the two ain’t posting let it go.

  21. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

    Joe isn’t 45 points a franchise record?

  22. Bucs4821 Says:

They scored 48 in the Super Bowl and in their 1987 season opener against Atlanta.

  23. JayBucsBoi Says:

Beat an undefeated Packers team with them coming off a bye, and today a high flying Raiders team coming of a bye and momentum from beating the Superbike champs their last time on the field.

You know what they say, and it will take on a new feeling now … It’s a Bucs life!

  24. Sesteprenelicus Says:

It’s okay to be excited and optimistic! Players need to focus on the next game, but we fans have endured enough garbage to deserve a little celebration at having a legitimate 5-2 team to root for. Don’t be afraid to be happy, be confident the Bucs are good!

And don’t look now, but without Perfect Tom Brady, the Almighty Patriots are a lowly 2-4 and 2 and half games back in their division. Maybe T-B really is the G-O-A-T.

I think BA (if he keeps this going) will ever the best coach in Buc’s history.

  28. gssh84 Says:

    Bears baby!

  29. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

No they should NOT be 6-1 … The bears did what teams have to do to beat Brady!! You get pressure on Brady and he cracks like an egg!! In the playoffs I hope the line holds up as well as they have lately!! They may see the bears in the playoffs and unless Mack is injured at the time I’m not sure he doesn’t do the same thing to wirfs?? Just may be a bad match!! … Would suck to play so good all year then get put out by the bears!!!!
