Brady Senior Moment Perfect 2020

October 11th, 2020

Thoughts on Mr. Fourth Down.

Joe has never been the type of person who joined Amateur Night New Year’s Eve parties where people celebrated the extinction of a year or the welcoming of a new year.

To Joe, that is without question the most overrated “holiday” of the year. So you have to flip the calendar, big deal! That just means you are one step closer to having dirt shoveled in your face for good.

However, when the clock creeps towards midnight on Dec. 31, 2020, Joe just may get wildly drunk. There just cannot be a worse or weirder year than what we are going through.

It seemed to begin with a killer pandemic hitting the earth and then last week Eddie Van Halen leaving the earth. Man, 2020 just sucks out loud. And in a year that has seen the Big Dance canceled, fans banned from games and the Stanley Cup Finals played in October, Thursday just got downright stupid. Even for Bucs’ standards.

Popular nationally broadcast sports radio voice Pat McAfee thinks peak 2020 for sports happened Thursday night along the banks of Lake Michigan in Chicago.

“I think we had a great depiction of what 2020 was (Thursday) when our game’s greatest player of all time, the man who has won six Super Bowls and led a dynasty of 20 straight years of success and has since parted ways and is now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,” McAfee said. Tampa Bay is “where a lot of players are ring-chasing him, following him because he is the greatest player of all time. The depiction of 2020 is the greatest player of all-time at the end of the game (Thursday) night, being caught on camera in a crucial moment to lose the game not knowing that [the Bucs] offensive series was over.

“That is something when you talk about 2020 and things come out of left field, and you are looking this way and — WWWOOWW!!! — right on the side of the face and you don’t see what’s coming. That’s what 2020 has been.

“Sports shutdown? Oh, I never saw that. World shuts down? Holy sh!t! Did not see that coming. … Now Tom Brady doesn’t know four downs are played? That’s a problem. I think in the sports world that is probably the last thing on the list that you thought would happen.”

Well, maybe the Dolphins winning the Super Bowl, but yeah, Joe gets where McAfee is coming from. Nobody would have guessed Brady would forget how to count.

But Joe has a much simpler explanation for Brady not knowing the Bucs were on fourth down. Anyone who has watched the Bucs for more than a couple of years could guess where Joe is going with this.

Joe can sum it up in four words in one hashtag.

Yes it is Joe. History of the Bucs. Starting with the dark ages, on to the bronze age. Then the great depression followed by FDR Dungy’s new deal. That let us to landing on the moon. Then came the market crash once again where we’ve remained in limbo. Ah yes, a Bucs life.

Haha- thanks for the Sunday morning laugh, Joe. Funny take on New Years.
Bucs will beat Packers- Brady will guarantee it.

  3. Jean Lafitte Says:

There were so flags being tossed even I had to look at the TV screen to find the down to go. A lot of unnecessary and drive killing flags all night. The NFL and Vegas got exactly what they wanted. A one point margin of victory.

smith is going to get brady hurt, the man was under pressure damn near the whole 2nd half and was getting hit quite often, better put wirfs on the left and see what he can do, put heage on the right, could not be any worse than it is now and let smith ride the pine. brady forgot the down because he was getting pummeled and all the previous penalties

  5. Ftmyersbuc Says:

James west, the only way that happens (benching d. Smith) is I’d Brady demands it. The coaches aren’t gonna do it because in thier minds it’s only “a few plays a game” i mean honestly anyone who can make contact with the guy across from them 100%of the time will be an upgrade imo. Those few plays are so dangerous because he doesn’t even get a hand to slow the guy down. It’s a complete whiff and a 250lb man is coming full speed at Brady’s blindside. I hope Brady watches the film and demands a change. Better to have a whiff on the side you can see.

  6. Show Me the TDs Says:

I agree 100% with james west. Smith is not a winner. He doesn’t care enough to always try his best.

  7. Ndog Says:

So now a QB getting hit a lot is a reason for poor mistakes?

Funny that never seemed to matter before this year!

  8. Ajinoz Says:

Ndog i appreciate your loyalty to Winston. Wish someone had my back like that! As far as all the nonsense, anyone who thinks Brady cost the bucs the game with 33 seconds left has little knowledge of football. That was accomplished when the defense surrendered 14 points in less than 2 minutes and that bullcrap roughing call that extended the bears drive. Other than that… The Bears just outworked the bucs.

You are the worst N dog

  11. #1bucfan Says:

NDOG are you a Bucs fan ?? Then start acting like one. Rooting for 1 player is not a team fan. I didn’t cry when Gruden sent John Lynch packing or sapp or Brooks. Please get over it. Brady is a world better than Winston there is no argument for it. Brady has more playoff wins then Winston has wins in the reg. Season. No sane person can argue a player who has only thrown for 5k once and has 30 ints in a season is better than a 6x champ.

This team is on the right track, in spite of all the garbage play, if they make 2 first downs on second to last drive they win. GB Buzz Saw coming next week. So strap it on secondary, most likely they will get schooled by Rodgers. Overall the Bucs are getting better. I do not think Jensen will be playing the fool like that again. Bruce was embarrased by the knuckleheaded immature play in Chicago by the team. He was very uncomfortable during press conference being peppered with questions about penalties being foolishly committed. There should be a difference in their play. We will see if there is finally a change in how many penalties happen going forward. Yes you need enforcers but not being foolish and cross the line and just get stupid penalties. Anyone watching the Bucs for the last few years has seen Jensen cross the line many times and get some stupid penalties. Time for a change if they really want to win enough to get in the playoffs. GO BUCS!!!!

  13. Gman03051 Says:

As a long time Patriots fan I am rooting for TB to be successful. The bucs lost a game that they should have won. They lost because of a lack of discipline. You cannot have this many penalties in a game and expect to win. The lack of discipline is a direct reflection of the head coach.

  14. Mark Says:

He’s probably used to playing 4 or 5 snaps before going 3 and out due to us getting penalties.

  15. unbelievable Says:

I’m pretty sure Tom Brady even coming to and playing for the Bucs was already a perfect encapsulation of the weird chit show that has been 2020.

    Let’s be real.
