“Other clowns on the practice squad”……..the disrespect for players is puzzling….
It’s also puzzling how things in jest are often taken too seriously. Joe had a basketball coach who often lovingly said things with prefaces like, “which of you scrubs” and Joe had a college coach who spoke the same kind of way about guys trying to make the team in training camp. –Joe

No Rogers we have to build our own team with our own players . Why is everyone afraid of developing a quarterback in Tampa ?? If they bring in Rogers I will be done with the bucs because then I will know that this is a loser mentality type of team and I will be done . It will tell everyone in the fan base that they are a bunch of losers from top to bottom . And I will encourage the fan base that they are playing yall for suckas and all they care about is money and they don’t care about having a winning culture !!!!

  3. Oneilbucs Says:

Tampabaybucfan I know we disagree about some things about the team . But I do agree with you about the disrespect of the players on the practice squad that is disrespectful !! And he the main one that’s afraid of the team developing our own quarterback by trying to push the Rogers thing .

    Miami Marlins of the NFL!

Joe is about production, not wishful thinking. To believe a practice squad player is going to carry the Bucs to a Super Bowl is a bit of a stretch.

Occasionally, a practice squad player will have an impact. Earnest Graham, Adam Humphries and Cam Brate were Bucs practice squad guys.

A practice squad guy becoming an impact player happens, what, once every 10 years? Out of curiosity, here is the Bucs’ practice squad (at random) of 2005. Do you remember any of these guys making a play in a game? Or do you remember them at all?

“Respect” is not given, nor should be. “Respect” is earned. Of course Joe respects these man as men, but how exactly can you earn football respect when you are not allowed to suit up on gamedays and watch the game from a suite?

    The NFL is about production.

As for developing a quarterback, what exactly are the odds Josh Rosen leads the Bucs to the playoffs three years from now? About the same as getting struck by lightning? Remember, any team can pluck Rosen off the practice squad, assuming he wants to leave. Come October, he may not even be affiliated with the Bucs.

Joe is all about developing a quarterback, but not a guy on his third team in three years who just like you and Joe, will be watching the game away from the field of play.

Forgive Joe for being much more concerned with guys who will be active players. Those guys will have a direct impact on whether the Bucs make the playoffs or not. The outcome of the season will not be determined by part-time players dressed in civilian clothes on gameday.

Joe is sorry if this offends someone. Make an impact in a game and Joe will offer props.

The NFL is not Harry High School where players are rewarded and lauded for “working hard” and making the team but not necessarily doing anything of substance.

Wow….touched a nerve……”clowns”…….in jest…..I’ll accept that……at least we didn’t have to deal with the yearly “UPS Drivers, Insurance Claims Adjusters & Mattress Movers”. FYI, the Joe who responded to you is not who said “clowns.” –Joe

“If they bring in Rogers I will be done with the bucs“

Then be done! You think we all really care if you’re done with this team or not?

“And I will encourage the fan base that they are playing yall for suckas”

Please, give them all the “encourage” you can lol smh

Why is it that Mike Evans is always the one to restructure his contract? Why can’t Ryan Jenson, Donovan Smith, or Ali Marpet restructure their contracts? I’d must admit that I’m curious to see how OJ Howard is used this season and if the Bucs will use him and Gronk like New England did with him and Hernandez. As for what the record I’m kinda on the fence the over and under of 9.5 part of me thinks the under for some reason because of the first 6 games and the 5 of those defensive front 7 are top of the NFL. That’s one thing Brady has always struggle with teams with good front 7
