“I Know I’m Not Going To Be Missing No Tackles”

September 2nd, 2020

Gotta love Jason Pierre-Paul. He’s the only Buccaneer who screams on a Zoom call with media and then a minute later calls himself very laid back.

JPP served up some fun this morning for Joe and media, especially when asked about readiness for hitting after no preseason games and a unique training camp.

“I can’t speak for everybody else, but I know I’m not going to be missing no tackles,” JPP said. “I just think that’s a mind thing. When it comes to defense, tackling is a mind thing. You gotta be a real one to go tackle. You know what I mean, it ain’t no closing your eyes, it’s going straight through him within the rules of the game and showing that, you know, this is going to be a long game.”

JPP emphasized with his scream that he’s fired up to play a 16-game season and he’s driven by God and internal motivation to win a Super Bowl that he wouldn’t detail.

Whatever “mind thing” JPP is referring to, he’s got it down in a way few others ever have.

    As productive as McCoy was, the attitude on the defense is night and day from his days here.

    Isn’t this the guy 2/3 of this board wanted released when he hurt his neck? Where have those posters gone?

    He’s NOT going to be missing NO tackles? Then why don’t they just try to trade him! I’m sick of these overpriced prima donnas refusing to play!

    So glad he’s in our team. No worries on that side of the ball. He reminds me of “Tars Tarkas” from Captain Carter of Mars….he might have just three fingers, but boy during games; he appears to have like four arms…🤣🤣🤣

    @Bobby

    I always liked GMAC but sadly your post is the absolute truth. And it’s not just JPP we have a quiet monster in place of GMAC in Suh.

    I’m like you Bobby…I love the attitude on THIS defense!

    Love JPP! The defense improved immediately when he came back from his neck injury! To come back so fast from that injury was amazing.

    Getting this dude will go down as one of the best moves Licht ever makes.
