Bad Look For Team Glazer

September 20th, 2020

Embarrassing moment

So let Joe get this straight.

Bucs fans get shut out of a home game they yearned to see, but Brett Favre gets to enter the stadium seats for a close look at the Bucs?

Joe saw the video below and wanted to vomit. Who made this decision at One Buc Palace, and why was it made? Does Bucs management think it’s funny to force lifelong fans to stay home while a former arch rival quarterback is allowed a shot at the seats and an open-air look at Tom Brady?

Joe thinks Team Glazer should have someone at One Buc Palace apologize for this stunt shared by the FOX cameras below.

The world of politics talks a lot about privilege and justice. This stunt was neither for the legions of Bucs faithful aching to enter the stadium to see Brady’s debut.

Yes, Favre technically is in the media as a once-a-week host for SiriusXM NFL Radio. So perhaps he had a media pass, but non-photo media is limited to the press box in this COVID-19 environment. And Joe also suspect the kids spotted near Favre aren’t working for a network.

Joe hopes the Bucs and local officials do the right thing and at least let some regular fans into the next home game. One thousand average Joes is better than none.

    Really Joe?

  5. bucnuts Says:

not sure this is a big deal. Sounds like JBF is trying to get people upset about something people are not upset about

  6. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Agreed

Joe took this one a LIL bit too far

  7. ocala Says:

Bucs should have allowed at least 10,000 fans for this game. Hoping they will allow 50% capacity for game three.

  8. Ndog Says:

What are you talking about? The organization shows they don’t care about the fans when they decided to go with an old, spoiled QB over the guy the real fans wanted to be resigned.

They went with eyes from the idiot taking heads on TV instead of continuing to build like real organizations do?

Allowing Favre in just further drives the point home. Eye balls is what they care about not the fans.

  9. No Risk It No Biscuit Says:

    Cool!

Stadiums are wide open to HOFrs. You are funny Joe.

  10. Bucs Fan Since ‘76 Says:

It’s time to let us in.

  11. TheBucsAnthem Says:

But JOE does have a valid point…..

Why not put the fans in the seats instead of the privlleged?????

  12. Gofortheface30 Says:

Exxxxxxactly Joe! Been saying this for weeks – Dallas, KC, Miami, various college football teams, indy car, NASCAR. Should I go on? But we don’t have fans? Especially when Hillsborough County has an exceptionally low case rate? Absolute garbage BS. Enjoy the game next week in Denver, the most hippy city in the US- WITH FANS . Embarrassing.

  13. Wesley Says:

    @anthem
Can’t eat and wear a mask you twit.

  14. Stanglassman Says:

Hills Co. has the 4th highest case rate in FL. Miami shouldn’t be having anyone in their stadium. Keep in mind Gofortheface was telling us all it was going to go away in April with the heat and mask make no difference.

  27. Gofortheface30 Says:

Stanglass you are the biggest beta male on this site. (And that’s saying something) You’re a typical democrat candy ass. We have a million people in Hillsborough County and you’re being a big butt plug over 800 cases. My homework assignment for you is to do the math on that you pansy

  28. Richard Dickson Says:

Okay, so they let one fan in instead?

  29. Who cares? Says:

Lol this is the biggest no-deal ever. As a die heart Bucs fan, it’s awesome to see a GOAT supporting another GOAT. Relax, Joe…

  30. Durango 95 Says:

SMH @ some at you idiots.

Of course Joe is right! It’s well past time to open up the freakin’ stadium. Masks be damned. Too afraid to catch the covid?

    Stay home.

  31. Hawk Says:

Not only do I *not* see an issue, I also wonder if Joe ‘investigated’ to see if was the Bucs, or the stadium who let Favre in.

  32. Elita Vita Says:

It might have been a request from his good friend Tom Brady. If it at all helped Brady and the Bucs win he will always be welcome in my book!

  33. BucEmUp Says:

    Bucs ownership are a joke

  34. Durango 95 Says:

Joe Biden thinks 200 million people have died from Covid. I guess Favre and the Glazers didn’t’t get the memo.

    Lol.

Let the fans back in the stadium and stop this ridiculous charade.

  35. BigMacAttack Says:

What a joke. I couldn’t care less if he was there. He’s kinda earned that privilege. I like that he’s wearing a Bucs t-shirt too.

  36. BigMacAttack Says:

I do think it’s stupid though keeping fans out of the stadium and doesn’t help anything.

  37. Cobraboy Says:

I thought it was cool Favre was there.

I got zero bad vibes about optics.

But, yes, open the gates. This mask/pandemic/social distancing crap is tiring.

    And useless.

  38. Bucked Says:

Wow when you got nothing of substance to write engineer a drama. Sad I almost don’t wanna listen to the podcast anymore since one them just wants to complain like a child the whole time.

  39. webster Says:

A democratic mayor? What does that have to do with anything? Some people are just idiots for no reason. If you want to see the games in person, then maybe you should have wore mask and social distanced like the medical experts told you 7 months ago instead of marching to state capitals with weapons.

  40. Pewter Power Says:

    Drama queen lol 😂

  41. Buccfan37 Says:

Never was a fan of Favre anyway.

  42. Ed Says:

I won’t get into the mask, fan attendance thing here. Its up to the people in the medical and scientific community to determine how people should protect themselves or keep the virus from spreading.

One of the nicest business associates I have known over the years called me on Friday after about a 6 or 7 week absence. I asked him how you been? He proceeded to tell me how for the past 4 weeks he caught COVID as did his wife, from an in-law who contracted it from his cousin. Many of my customers are also my friends. Gary is one of them. He’s my age, early sixties, in excellent condition, spends much of his time at the gym. He isn’t a democrat and he isn’t white either but Gary told me when he couldn’t breathe and his heart started racing he was one step away from meeting his maker. The man is very religious and a devout family man and church member.

He has recently tested negative but told me he couldn’t walk a block without feeling so tired he had to stop.

So for all of those on these sites that think its alright that some people are going to die, let me just say this, you have no f-ing heart and I only hope none of your loved ones have to go through what this friend of mine did.

Minorities in our country are the most likely to get very sick from COVID, its a fact.

    Anthem NDOG

Love your anger about all things Bucs but Winston isn’t coming back so get over it lol.

When and moan about EVERYTHING. Oh yea JAMARCUS too.

Brady this Brady that. RB this and that. WhaA whaaa.

Guess who isn’t the QB and won’t be EVER again lol

    Yep that guy lmao

  45. hammerhead Says:

    Boo hoo.

There’s still a pandemic and we shouldn’t be encouraging thousands of fans to be out in public potentially spreading a virus that has killed 200,000.

Brett Favre in the stadium makes no difference and has nothing to do with fans in the stands.

  46. Pok Says:

Please complain more. What this country lacks is some grievance. Bucs won today in case you missed it.

  47. Annayram Says:

Yeah you absolutely let Favre in, what’s wrong with you. Let all fans in while your at it but in the meantime Favre gets a pass, oh and any other hall of Famer that may want to stop by. Are you absolutely kidding me. You should refund a little money back to your sponsors for taking the time to type that one.

  48. hammerhead Says:

Seriously, who cares if Favre was in the stands? Almost nobody.

But, yes, open the gates. This mask/pandemic/social distancing crap is tiring.

    And useless.

And this is why 200,000 people have died in this country… selfish people who just parrot trump and pretend that public health experts don’t know what they’re talking about. #deathcult

  50. Rod Munch Says:

It’s not the team making this decision, it’s the leftists running Tampa, and they’re going to make damn sure that stadium isn’t open until after the election.

  51. FloridaGirl Says:

Bucs win and have FOBs (Friends of Brady) in the stands. Great for everyone. Bright lights = revenue for the Glazers. Open the gates to the masses….If the other FL teams and NFC -S opponents can enable it, we can too. Stop eliciting Mayor Castor’s (AKA COVID Jane; Flip flop Jane) opinion on whether its good to open the stadium.

  52. BucEmUp Says:

Whats more embarrassing is the fact that they almost gave a way a 21-0 lead and went completely dead on offense. Run up rhe gut, run and then 3rd down pass. If this were an opponent like the Saints I’d be happy with the win, but against a depleted, and bad team like the panthers it should have been a shoe in blowout for 4 quarters. With the G.O.A.T and this roster…THIS DEFENSE it should have never gotten that close.

  53. Stanglassman Says:

Gofortheface-It’s 40k+ cases and the real number is 6 to 27 times that. Spreading false information and being wrong all the time doesn’t make you tough and manly. It just makes you a fool and irresponsible.

  54. Jerry Jones Says:

It’s Brett Favre….pretty sure he’s earned a right to be there. I believe he’s shed enough blood, sweat and tears in this game that should usher him a pass into anyone’s stadium.

This isn’t news worthy and doesn’t deserve the negative connotation it sheds on a Hall of Famer. Straight up lazy reporting to feed your sideways narrative.

  55. Stanglassman Says:

OMG Biden misspoke and said almost 200 million instead of 200 thousand died the rest of the sentence he said 600 thousand can have complications like lung scaring. So if course he obviously knew it was 200k. Anything to deflect on what a failure Trump has been.

  56. Swampbuc Says:

There’s enough drama. Let’s not overreact to this. Really, it’s easier to make sure one person adheres to protocol instead of hundreds or thousands. Let’s leave our indignation by the side of the road for someone else to pick up, and move on.

  57. garbs65 Says:

who cares. maybe the players were allowed to invite someone. i don’t care either way

  58. Jerry Jones Says:

Ndog, are you stuck in the 10th grade or something…you must have peaked in Highschool because you’re failing everytime you enter a comment. And no, I haven’t seen your baseball.

  59. Mike Says:

    Great article

I’ve been pissed off about it since before 1. Only missing 1 game since 1996…today makes 2.

Mask are the rule and there was way too many people without mask. No reason bucs don’t have fans at next home game. It doesn’t make me mad and one would think it would make all season ticket holders mad. The Tampa sports authority got 10 million for Raymond James to be ready while jags, dolphins, Florida state, Miami, gators and Ucf are all hosting fans.

The Bucs response to video was to “like it”

The optics are bad when it’s your own fans wanting to get in and currently the earliest that could happen is week 6

  60. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Well now…that’s overblown…

…frankly, I’m more upset at the lack of masks.

  61. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Ndog Says
“What are you talking about? The organization shows they don’t care about the fans when they decided to go with an old, spoiled QB over the guy the real fans wanted to be resigned.”

Come on, now. We just won. Don’t tell me you are not happy with the win.

And don’t tell me you think this team would be playing this good for Winston. I liked Winston a lot, but he got himself booted. He had too many turnovers and not enough wins.

So far as Tom Brady, going to be hard calling him spoiled when he leads this team to the superbowl in Raymond James.

  62. hammerhead Says:

Who’s the douche who likes to call people “beta” males because they’re not pumped up on fake macho stupidity. Grow up, little man.

  63. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Mike, I get it. You have a great attendance record and that is certainly something to be very proud of.

For what it is worth, I don’t view this as you missing attending a game because you are not being given a choice. In my book, your attendance is still spot on.

I honestly do not blame the Bucs though. I mean, consider this…if those other teams are letting fans in, what happens when some of them come down with C-19, claim they got it at the games, and sue the team?

Let those teams take the gamble for the first few weeks. Meanwhile, the Bucs are preparing to let fans in.

The problem with every one is people worry about what everyone is or isn’t doing. Everyone in America has a freedom to choose what u want to do.People need to mind their darn business. Good Job Joe for calling this out. But fair is fair it doesn’t matter about who u are if there is people attending game then close enough seats for social distancing and allow capacity to be reached for social distancing.

  66. David Says:

  67. Christopher Schiefen Says:

Is this KarenBucsFan? This is funny as heck, decently cool with the shirt, and clearly he’s here to support the Bucs and Brady. And you even kill your own point saying he’s technically a media member. This isn’t hyperbole, Joe: this post is one of the low points of this website 😂

  68. Cobraboy Says:

@ Bonzai: nobody is going to sue anyoine over CV19.

I just got back from over a week in the states, Dallas, Memphis, Atlanta, MIami & Ft. Liquordale.

EVERY place I went in, including airports and airlines, has disclaimers everywhere announcing waiver of liability, per state law, over contracting CV19. And I went into a LOT of places, stores, restaurants, shops, hotels, funeral homes, you name it.

CV19 fear is the new Virtue Signalling: “I’m afraid, therefore I caaaaare more than you do.”

And, no, 200,000 have not died of CV19. The CDC says the actual number is like 9400. And 85% of the rest of the “190,000” were over 70 with 2.6 co-morbidities. And note: according to CDC stats, while CV19 “deaths” have allegedly gone up, deaths from pneumponia and the flu are almost currently zero. What a coincidence.

For the last few months, there have been NO “excess deaths” above the normal death rates. Nobody lives forever. A “pandemic” would cause excess deaths. We don’t have that right now.

And more states have quietly un-banned the HCQ and Invermectin cocktails for treatment of CV19. Too bad they didn’t do it earlier because far fewer would have died. Keep in mind that in Africa where those two drugs are literally OTC because of malaria and parasites, the incidences of CV19 are a fraction of the first world. Why is that?

Additionally, we now know the PCR test is flawed. It does NOT test for CV19. It “enhances” fragments of coronavirus RNA (like a cold you had a couple of years ago) up to 50 times. Less than 10% of positive tests—even at the enhanced levels—actually have CV19. And if the tests were enhanced at even 35x, there would be 80% fewer “cases.”

Hell, this virus is not even statistically a “pandemic” anymore according to the CDC math geeks.

This crap needs to stop and let people get on with their lives, unhindered by political authoritarians, and let the individual choose how best to protect themselves and their families.

Joe noticed quite a few college games hosting thousands of fans. Think each and everyone took a COVID test?

Besides, that’s not the point of the article.

  75. hammerhead Says:

    Cobra boy, you’re retarded.

It’s 200,000… that 9000ish number is only those that had Covid with no comorbidities. Everyone knows this, except apparently morons like you.
