“You Have Got To Be Kidding Me”

August 7th, 2020

“Really Bucs, Tom freaking Brady?”

Matty Ice could see it all laid out before him. But he didn’t want to believe it might happen.

From the moment the Dixie Chicks’ long-time quarterback heard park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Tom Brady was not going to re-sign with the Belicheats, he thought to himself, please don’t let it be the Bucs.

Apparently, Matty Ice heard through NFL back channels that the Bucs might turn the page from Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston. And Matty Ice thought the Bucs made too much sense for Brady.

Matty Ice just hoped beyond hope some other team signed him. As Matty Ice told popular sports television and radio personality Adam Schein this morning on “Schein on Sports,” heard exclusively on SiriusXM Radio, when he heard Brady was signing with the Bucs he thought, “You have got to be kidding me.”

“Of course, come down to the NFC South,” Matty Ice joked with Schein about the Bucs signing Brady.

“When I heard he wasn’t going back to New England, in my head I’m thinking “Man, I think it is going to be the Bucs. It might be a good fit. I think they are moving on from Jameis. ‘They have an opening. They have a really good defense, good wide receivers.’ Sure enough, my gut was right.”

So Matty Ice and the Dixie Chicks now have to leapfrog both the slimy Saints and the Bucs to reach the division crown.

You can hear the clip of Matty Ice talking Brady and the Bucs in the SiriusXM Radio sound bite below.

Dixie Chicks is racist. Please just call them the Chicks. Wait, that is misogynistic. Please just call them the Atlanta Football Team.

  2. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard thinks that the Strong, Empowered Atlanta Football Team is socially just! No micro-aggresions here!

  3. Doctor Stroud Says:

Even Matty Ice knew that the Bucs were moving on from JW? That should be the headline.

Well that’s funny cause in James’s 9 games vs Atlanta he threw for 2,499 yards, 25TDs and 9 INTs. Which averages out to 278 yards, 3TDs and 1 INT per game.

In those games the Bucs record was 4-5, but keep in mind here was Jameis’s performances in each loss:

    L – 261 yards 3TDs 0 INT
    L – 299 yards 3TDs 0 INT
    L – 395 yards 4 TDs 2 INTs
    L – 345 yards 4 TDs 1 INT
    L – 201 yards 2 TDs 2 INTs

So in the 5 losses he averaged 300 yards, 3TDs and 1 INT per game.

Yeah Jameis is reason we lost games. OK🥴

Consider this exhibit 5 million why that is bulls*it.

  10. DoooshLaRue Says:

Gee Joe, I feel like you could have worked the name Marty Ice in a few more times…… I mean come on man…. try harder.

  11. Tye Says:

People still debating a Saints backup on a Bucs fan site… Move on already or go lost that junk on a Saints site… Bucs are way better off now!

  12. DoooshLaRue Says:

JayMiss also had an amazing run to make a first down against them, 3rd and 22 I believe, it was truly amazing.

But unfortunately ndog, all those fleeting moments and eye popping stats don’t mean sh!t when you’re an inconsistent mental midget bullish!tter.

  13. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Ndog I will give you this one. Jameis Winston’s best games were always against the falcons (minus that last one)

It’s honestly hysterical his performance against them were always his best. But still in two of those he still turned the football over in really bad spots.

  14. Allbuccedup Says:

Since this story is about qbs trade ryan griffen and a draft pick for josh rosen. Let him work with brady and arians see if hes got a future in the nfl it might be worth a gamble if the dolphins will take a late round pick.

“So Matty Ice and the Dixie Chicks now have to leapfrog both the slimy Saints and the Bucs to reach the division crown.”

Correction joes we have to leap the Dixie chicks, we finished third in the division thanks to mr. pick six

  16. BA Redzone Says:

Allbuccedup – that’s a great idea. Unfortunately, BA and JL are only focused on this year and not long term, so Getting a young talented QB to learn for One/two years for future Is not in their purview.

  17. Ndog Says:

The there is no real debate, the Bucs screwed up BIG-TIME and thus franchise has just been set back a decade or more. The only debate is will we Jameis win 2 Super Bowls with the Saints or 3?

  18. Waterboy Says:

    @NDog

Jameis better worry more about getting his money up from being one of the lowest paid backups in the league than winning super bowls. I was always a Jameis fan but never trusted him, he always felt like a disaster waiting to happen.

  19. Ndog Says:

We shall see, we shall see.

  20. 40TDs Says:

THANKS NDOG…YOU TELL THEM TO CHECK THE DARN SHEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. SB Says:

    Lol 40TDs
32 GMs and 32 HCs all checked their sheets and decided JW was worth less $ than Ryan Griffen

  22. Bill Says:

NDOG your grasp of reality is slipping. He is gone. Move on or move to the Saints board.

  23. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

NDog, do you realize that your boy is the @3 QB in NOLA?
    32 starting QBs
    32 backup QBs
Jay Miss isn’t in the top 64, so I guess if Brees or Hill leads them to a SB, you would technically be correct. However, Jay Miss is a career backup and will never lead any team anywhere, other than wearing a visor and holding a clipboard.
    Check yo sheet!

  24. Jmarkbuc Says:

I’m with Alvin. Guess it depends on how long Drew Brees sticks around. These old washed up guys still seem to kick ass.

    They be Ballin

  25. Mike Says:

So how is getting rid of a turnover machine supposed to set you back a decade OR MORE? So if we draft a Qb in the next two years (or pick up AR from GB😉) how would that effect the bucs 8-10 years after that? You are delusional!

  26. Ndog Says:

I love that you people have convinced yourselves that Jameis is 3rd string. You guys do what you have to do to convince yourself that we are not screwed, keep lying to yourself. Just know that one day the inevitable will come and when that day comes you will have nowhere to hid.

  27. Ndog Says:

What you guys don’t get is he’s not gone cause he’s in the division and in fact he will be that main reason we don’t win this division the next 10+ years.

  28. Dapostman Says:

Must be a slow news day digging up a story about what Matty Ice thinks about the Bucs…………...Never a slow news day. Joe simply writes about what Joe finds interesting. –Joe

  29. Steven007 Says:

Ndog, I’ll give you this, JW should be a quality backup. But again, it must be said that there’s a reason that all 32 teams passed on him as both starter and primary backup at least at this point in time. Lots of film on the man. Plenty good and just as plenty bad.

  30. Doctor Stroud Says:

JW’s last game was that much more devastating precisely because he and the Bucs did relatively well against the Falcons. You don’t lose against a division rival at home. Those of us who attended the game had to hear it from the Falcon fans all the way from the stands to the parking lot. That was a long walk to the car. Not a good feeling!

  31. Steven007 Says:

Doctor S, I remember that well. I also remember holding my breath every time JW went back to pass most of the season. Also not a good feeling.

  32. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Ndog go to saints bird and take your jameis 1of1 twitter troll rants there.

  33. Conte Piscateli Says:

    Winston = Jeff George. Done

  34. SB Says:

    NDog
I don’t know what your waist size is but it is evidently much larger than your IQ!

  35. Youngbucs Says:

Anybody can cherry-pick stats Ndog you not saying much. It’s called a body of work 🤡

  36. FactTeller Says:

The fact that ANYONE on this board is calling for Josh Rosen is asinine.

See yall in 5 weeks gents.

  37. Bucsfan951 Says:

JW is such a backup that he couldn’t even get his own #3 from the kicker… THE KICKER!!!

On my great bucs team, a 2nd team all pro gave up his number for his qb!!! That’s the difference between liking someone and showing respect!

  38. NDog is an idiot Says:

NDog is…. an IDIOT!! Still slurping the Sweat off of JayMiss’s balls!!

  39. Bucsalltheway Says:

I feel like if Brady was to get hurt Jameis will be kept and dangled as trade bait back to us lol
