No Plans For Another Live Stadium Scrimmage

August 31st, 2020

“No mas, Tommy.”

Last week, Bucco Bruce Arians planned for two game-style scrimmages in the Den of Depression.

Then he had one and things changed.

After Friday’s hard-hitting live session on a hot morning, Arians was unsure whether he’d have the Bucs go back to beat each other up like that.

With a weekend to reflect, Arians said today that he still doesn’t know if the Bucs will scrimmage again at the stadium. They will at least practice at the stadium to get used to the fake crowd noise and the atmosphere.

Because of how The Sickness altered training camp, Arians said players are still practicing very hard and acting like guys looking to win jobs. So it appears Arians doesn’t need the scrimmage environment to get pads cracking. But Arians did note that grueling practices in pads are nearing an end. Today’s morning session was in the air conditioned Glazer Shed.

Sunday afternoon is the cutdown deadline for 53-man rosters across the NFL.

Without the normal off season, what’s enough, or to much? I like the idea of getting ready for game one in the Glazer shed. It’s an indoor game, why practice outside in the blinding heat? Save that for the week after.

  2. Formerly Tampa 2 Says:

He should have at least one scrimmage at night.

  3. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Agreed on one night time scrimmage due to our 5? Prime Time games.

  4. Ndog Says:

What Arains talking out if his a$$! No that never happens…

It’s to the point where anyone who actually believes a word this liar says should have their head examined.

The lost dog is now just a sad troll. No longer a fan. Sad.

Prediction – after Buc victories Lost dog will whine about how the team never played like that with the previous QB. After losses he’ll whine about not having the previous QB and say I told ya so.

Why even bother pretending to be a Bucs fan…? You and little bo peep can duke it out for biggest troll status! FUN!

Meanwhile, the real fans will enjoy the Ish out of this ride!

    In BA I Trust!

53 man roster !! Thanks, Roger Goduvall. With Covid-19 running rampant, the smarter (who, Roger the Commish?) thing to do would have been to expand the active roster to, say 65 players, with the same requirement that exists for game day active rosters. Then again, the words “smart” and “NFL Commish” cannot be used in the same sentence !!
