“I’ll Play The Whole Entire Game If I Have To”

August 20th, 2020

Gronk speaks

Don’t talk to Rob Gronkowski about limiting his snaps.

Gronk chatted with Joe and other media online today and the subject of keeping him fresh for November came up.

The Bucs’ Hall of Fame tight end didn’t wag a finger at anyone, but he might as well have.

“I’ll play the whole entire game if I have to,” Gronk said multiple times.

That’s Gronk’s mentality and what he’s used to, he explained, but he’s all about winning and being devoted to teammates and his superiors. “I’m cool with whatever the coaches’ game plan is.”

As for his readiness, Gronk sort of described feeling like a rookie again after a year off, even needing time to get used to the speed of the game.

Joe hopes the Bucs don’t go too easy on Gronk. If the Saints can’t cover him, the let catch 12 balls and take the next week off if he has to. This team needs a fast start.

Somebody’s gonna’ need a TE & we certainly don’t need three……and this doesn’t sound like Gronk is part time.
Let’s get a deal done and pick up an experienced CB or Dlineman….

  2. El Buco Realisto Says:

Gronk first two games will be chalked up to being “rusty”, then he will have 2 or 3 “good” games and the rest he will be “limping” around on the field just like Sgt Win-slow last couple of games in a Buc uniform!!!!!!!!! Let us hope he won’t need to push off like Sgt Win-slow had to do to get open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But the sheep will wrongly say that old, no heart, broken down gronk, “just needs another year in the new offense”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!

The only thing that changes with the sheep, are there usernames!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Eddie Says:

El bucoooo. Your not. realist your a negative broken down chump.

  4. Buczilla Says:

Man, this guy is taking a good chunk of our cap and is a shoo-in for the HOF. He may not be here next year so I’m keeping him in their for every second of every game if that’s what it takes to make the playoffs. I’d love to keep him fresh and we probably can with our receiving talent, but we need to go for broke this year.

  5. 813bucboi Says:

    we have great TE depth….

he wont need to play the “entire” game…

    GO BUCS!!!!

  6. Bojim Says:

Gronkowski and BA will do what they need to do.

  7. JimmyJack Says:

Buczilla get what you are saying but we very well could wind up in a situation where prioritizing Gronks health becomes a priority over each game…….For example say we smoke the Saints and Gronk gets banged up. Why not give him the week off if we get a really unorganized Panthers team in week 2?……..or let’s just say we start 5-0 and Gronk gets a tweek? You tell him to play through or tell him we got his back?……….A million scenarios bro………..every sec of every game seems a bit premature. Remember, our goal arent playoffs….and remember the last few time New England went on a run it was Gronkless because he took too bad a beating playing every second of every game.

  8. Beeej Says:

I’ve read several times we’re gonna run 2 tight end sets most of the time (makes sense) and if that’s the case, you need to spell them

  9. Bellingham Bucs Fan Says:

Why are some so desperate to trade away our excellent TE depth? Awesome as it is to be renting Gronk, you know you can’t go all in on him, historically. OJ is coming to play this year and we know about Brate.

The Arians doesn’t use tight ends bit is null. If Brady wants to use them to win, they’re going to be used, period.

  10. unbelievable Says:

Realist you might be happier if you stopped letting someone pi$$ in your cornflakes every single day.

    Just sayin

  11. unbelievable Says:

    @Bellingham-

I don’t think they’ll trade away any of them this year, unless someone makes a monster offer.

Reality is this might be the last year for Gronk, and Brate has been banged up the last few seasons, so the team will be ecstatic if Howard can step up to his potential this year and look like a legit pick after all.

Sure was nice while El Buco Realass was outta town. Same ole stale take.
