Mystery Of The Bags

June 16th, 2020

Denies knowledge.

To hear Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, his new quarterback may have been carrying a virtual library with him when he home-invaded a stranger’s residence earlier this spring.

Brady made national news for a lot of reasons when he signed with the Bucs in free agency. One was when he barged into Leftwich’s neighbor’s house, thinking it was Leftwich’s residence.

The victim, David Kramer, told BSPN that Brady “had a bag or two on his shoulders. He dropped the bags down like he was going to stay for a while.”

What was in those bags?

Some speculated those duffle (?) bags were filled with footballs and Brady was going to work out for Leftwich, a brazen violation of NFL’s offseason edicts, especially in the midst of The Sickness.

Asked about what was in those duffle (?) bags in a Zoom conference call with the Tampa Bay pen and mic club this morning, Leftwich wouldn’t bite.

“I don’t know about no duffle bags or anything like that,” Leftwich claimed. “I’m a handwritten guy. I try as much as possible to stay off the computer.

“I like to write things down in front of me. I had a lot of information, especially from a playbook standpoint I wanted to give to him.”

Well, Joe clearly sees the spin here.

Kramer sure as heck was quite detailed about those “bags,” how Brady was carrying them, how he placed them on the floor and how Brady quickly picked them up and bolted out the door.

Whole lot of detail there for something that didn’t exist or didn’t happen.

And if Leftwich is that much of an NFL luddite, does that mean he isn’t in the Zoom meetings with the offense? We know Arians isn’t big on the Zoom meetings.

So if Arians doesn’t like the Zoom meetings and Leftwich said he is somewhat allergic to computers, what were the Zoom meetings for, so offensive players can exchange notes on their conquests from the previous evening?

I would think an aspiring head coach would chance with the times and adapt to the luxury of a computer. Did he use carrier pigeons to send those hand written notes to other players?

hey potlickers, thats exactly what I was saying back then when the story came out. I thought it was funny that Brady had bags but was only stopping by “to pick up a playbook”.
