Tampa PD “Extra Duty” Outside Tom Brady’s Home

May 22nd, 2020

Tampa PD is a regular fixture in the waters outside Tom Brady’s Davis Islands home.

One of the busiest boating weekends of the year in the Tampa Bay area won’t feature many boats and jet skis pulling up to Tom Brady’s waterfront rental on Davis Islands.

Joe’s email has been peppered with fan photos of Brady’s home since the six-time Super Bowl winner arrived in town, and many were taken from points on the water in Hillsborough Bay — not even a long Brady pass from his backyard.

For at least the past week, the Tampa Police Department Extra Duty department has been paid for patrol services in the waters outside Brady’s home, JoeBucsFan.com confirmed with the department today, and that patrol will continue indefinitely.

“Extra duty” represents contracts with private citizens, businesses, and organizations desiring an off-duty police presence. The TPD Extra Duty office schedules more than 200,000 hours annually supporting Tampa citizens and businesses, so having an officer outside Brady’s home is nothing really out of the ordinary.

The photo above was snapped Sunday by realtor Adam R. Jonas of First Integrity Real Estate. Thanks, Adam!

Joe heard the Buccaneers’ are picking up some or all of the tab, but no effort was made here to confirm, as it doesn’t really matter.

Joe’s glad Tampa PD is taking in extra cash, and Joe’s glad Brady will be able to sleep soundly and not have to hear screams of “Tommy” while he sits at the pool — or worse in the fall if he plays like his predecessor.

Not for Tom…they are trying to get a peek at Geisel topless sunbathing

It’s his home. Leave him alone.

    Why?

    >>> It’s his home. Leave him alone. <<<

It's our water and this is police intimidation, paid for by the Glazers.

Cmon you know why. Would you like hundreds of folks cruising your home in front and back not knowing how many of them are wack jobs.

There are two issues here not one. Privacy should be given to him as much as possible out of simple human decency.

The other issue though is his security safety. We live in a strange world..or should I say world full of some strange people.

He’s blessed to be able to afford it so I’m sympathetic but only to a point. As Mike points out it goes with the territory and it was TOM’s decision to live just minutes from the heart of town.

    Ya’ll didnt hear? He’s a criminal…Home Invader/Park Violator….gotta keep an eye on that cat!!!

Now if he would just crotchgrab an uber driver, and steal some crab legs while yelling “fk her right in the kitty”…..Well duh, that’ll earn him some bones here and just maybe, THEN, he’ll finally be looked upon as ” ‘sigh’ ” the “REAL Americas Quarterback”. ROFLMAO

Leave the guy alone! CHRIST!! How hard up are you people? Have you no more important or pleasurable things to do?

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

A bit different with Mike Williams’ house……..mattress in the front yard……I wonder if Derek left the stripper pole inside……

  10. Pewterpatrol Says:

    Welcome to GOOBERVILLE Brady family

  11. WillieG Says:

Come on people! This is Tampa, not Gooberville. We get mega celebrities here all the time. Calm the hell down already.

  12. JATK Says:

It didn’t take long for the sophomoric lewd comments from immature males to come forth. I’m guessing they might be jealous of Tom’s wealth and fame. They suffer from “The Peter Pan Syndrome” chose not to grow up and remain little boys!
They lack self respect and hence respect for others.

  13. ©MadMax Says:

What gets me is how others react to “celebrities”. They’re a human, just like you. Ive partied with some big name rock guys back in the day and most were down to earth cool and appreciated their fans….calm fans. Haha, dont know how they dealt with the crazies since that wasnt around me at the time.

I think most people are nice and will respect boundaries. But then you have the fringe who are mental or criminal and thats an issue to be dealt with daily.

    TB12 will be alright 🙂

  14. gp Says:

Maybe if Tom mounted some cannons on the beach people would keep their distance?

  15. CPN Says:

Why not just hire private security? Seems like a waste of resources to guard Brady’s house with Tampa PD.

Unless they got nothing better to do with quarantine.

Tells you a lot about the guys game. Among many other local residents living in the Bay known around the globe like Jeter and the actual owners of the team Tom plays for…I don’t recall any of them having this problem. This attention is far beyond “famous local resident” and for someone who is brand new here it’s probably not a great feeling to have to worry about crap like that

  17. pick6 Says:

    *the guy’s fame….autocorrect

    99 out of 100 people are ok…

but that always leaves the 1%…

there is always one within every hundred…

i personally wanna watch brady play football…

peek in his house and see him scratch his azz?

    i’ll pass…

he’s also living in such deluxe format…so it’s like a lure for the average joe to get a glimpse…

if i was tom i would make a life-like, life-size sculpture of myself and place it in various window settings, move it around occasionally…have it stand outside staring at the water, etc…so to make people say “hey look tom is looking at us out the window”…

even during the game on gameday…

    creep out the creeps…

you wanna go look at tom brady?…

welp, he’s lookin’ at you too 🙂

The Glazers are finally doing the right thing: building a team. Don’t mess it up.

Are u ready for some footballllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll??!??!!???????!!!!!!?????!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Beercan67 Says:

Oh WOW let’s stare at Jeter’s house. It’s like I’m famous too because I stare at famous guys houses. And you wonder why people hire armed guards. Get a life.

  22. Pugs&Bucs Says:

My buddy is on TPD. He got approached for this job! He turned it down because he said it’s boring. You just sit there and shoo cars and boats away.

  23. Darin Says:

    Jimmy
Our water? Its his backyard. Grow up. Why anyone would go there is beyond me. You star gazers are a strange bunch. Get a hobby. A real one. My goodness. (And yes I know what you mean by our water no need for a rant) if you think they’re “your roads” too I wonder how that goes when you drive like a child

  24. Marine Buc Says:

Sorry Tom. Tampa fans have never had a real QB and we don’t know how to act…

  25. SOEbuc Says:

Dumb ass move by Tom to rent this house. Could’ve seen this a mile away. What happens when a kid drowns because the extra cops were protecting Tom’s house.

Let him off the lease landlord Jeter and go find a real nice secluded home. Go get you a $5 million guest house on the open bay when you wanna take a dip or your boat out.

  26. Craig Says:

Maybe it is to keep him from park violating or home invading, though Giselle in a bikini would be a sight.

  27. DaBux Says:

Just tell Ye Mystic Krewe to anchor the ship right in front of his house. Arrrrrrggggh, that should block the wenches and idiots!
