It’s Legal

May 19th, 2020

“Any other ideas how to dodge these people Gisele?”

It’s pretty obvious one of Tampa mayor Jane Castor’s goons had something better to do today.

Just in case folks think otherwise, park-violating, home-intruding Bucs quarterback Tom Brady was perfectly within legal bounds to work out with Bucs teammates at Berkeley Prep High School in Tampa this morning.

The paparazzi-style photos (notice the parked cars and tree limbs in the foreground — sort of like catching Rihanna sunbathing in her backyard from a public perch) demonstrate Brady and his teammates, reportedly including Mike Evans, O.J. Howard, Cam Brate, Ryan Jensen and others, practicing social distancing guidelines set forth by Tampa and state officials.

Just to make sure, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network contacted the NFLPA to confirm everything was kosher. Rapoport was told Brady’s workout with his teammates was fine.

You can see (and hear) Rapoport discuss this in the NFL Network video below.

That frozen image of Andrew Siciliano is that best part about this story (no offense Joe)

  2. Bill Cicero Says:

Why do these media types insist on calling the NFL when they think Brady might be doing something wrong? First Mike “probably got picked on in high school” Florio and now this turd? WTAF?

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

When is the last time a Buc pre-camp workout was covered Nationally?…..if ever…

Brady can bring everybody to Montana and hook up with SB.

i’m not sure the exact time, but it was for JW; I guess was something like that:”Jameis Winston ‘Grabbed Uber Driver’s Crotch’ While Waiting for a Burrito”…
Yeah thanks god now we are making good national news…. not that I care much…all of them hate Tom, so soon they are going to hate Bucs as well….
..but boy o boy… we are in a fantastic football season, to come.
    Love it!
    Go Tom, Go Bucs.

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

It looks like there will be a great deal of disparity between teams and their state & local rules….
I suspect the NFL will figure out a way to subsidize teams that are force to train outside their normal facilities……at least I hope they do that instead of waiting for every team to have equal opportunities to train…..

  10. Aceofaerospace Says:

Why is it the NFL’s business if a few new friends get together and toss a football. What? You can’t be friends with teammates?

  11. Leighroy Says:

Had to be paparazzi style photos…. Berkeley Prep campus is gated w security guards nestled in a single-family residential neighborhood.

is not, you right, but they play the “public opinion” card, safety card, media card……and the make you look like bad guy,or guys, they want you to sit…. do nothing….equality toward miserability…
remember… once 25 -30 years ago, playing with flu you were “toughs guy”; playing with fever you were “a hero”…..
now they want to test you before you have s$X with your wife…. NFL is fine….NFL is being push to non sense…hope they prevail ..

Hey, look at the bright side. We’re talking Bucs football!

  15. Knuckle Sandwich Delivery Service Says:

Hey Brady Bunch, when you see this please tell me which news sources you go to for all of your information.

I’d like to see if they endorsed the guy they found in the hotel with a male escort, meth, and an overdosed addict. You didn’t vote for that guy did you?

I know it’s off topic, so sorry in advance. Just wanted to catch up with BB for some suggestions on “real news.”

    crazybucs,

    what is “miserability”?

  17. Memnoch Says:

Wait a minute, we’re all missing the most important point. These are the first pictures of Brady in Bucs gear! How cool is that?

  18. MtBucsFan Says:

LOL restrictions here in Montana. Man we don’t really have any other than the 6ft rule. Our bars are even open.

Oh let me guess…they’ve written something you disagree with.

Fine…but you realize they’ll just move to the internet like Ira and Joe….OR

Whatever new technology rules. It’s NOT about the Times…it’s about technology. The Times and EVERY freaking newspaper in the land save for perhaps the Post and NY Times are all heading to eventual bankruptcy.

When I was growing up AM radio was king. FM was background music run on tape players no live broadcasters for the most part. Usually a Classical station on FM could be live.

When the cars started getting FM radios it was all over for AM stations. FM has better reach locally and clearly significant improvement in audio quality. It wasn’t because of bad disc jockeys or horrible music directors that these stations died. One of them died out from under me so I moved to TV as a Sportscaster. Local Stations had the power and then came Cable and local sports was cut significantly.

Buddhists have a neat view of life. EVERYTHING is changing constantly and NOTHING lasts forever…including…AM music stations and print delivery of journalism.

  20. Hodad Says:

NFL players will begin to do these work outs on their own, more, and more. The smartest thing the NFL could do is let them back into team facilities where better precautions can be taken. F the states that won’t allow them to do it. Challenge those governors who say it can’t be done in court. One state supreme court already ruled it’s unconstitutional. No state has the resources to arrest everybody at a team facility, and they certainly don’t have the money to fight the NFL in court. So the NFL needs to do whats best for it’s players, and the NFL. Let the states that want to fight them try. They will lose.

I just can’t wait for Joe to ask Brady how he’s going to deal with the pressure of replacing not only a pro bowler but also America’s QB!!!

Anywho, this team is going to be exciting to watch, all of this “timing” nonsense will be a non factor by the time the season starts. The WHOLE team is excited to have Brady & Gronk!

  23. Seminole Bill Says:

When will this nonsense stop? First, they said flatten the curve. Measuring by the daily percent of emergency department visits statewide that mention cough, the percent for all age groups is lower than it was on 1/1/20. That curve spiked about mid-April and has been consistently declining ever since. And yes, there will be more infections to come. That can’t be avoided.

    —————————-
‘Definition of miserable. 1 : being in a pitiable state of distress or unhappiness..’
this is how these people are….they don’t want to to move from that state….but they don’t want other people to be happy and normal either.Instead they want Tom to sit home, and others to seat home too… bringing legality to the question!!!!
Hope you happy….which i dont think so 🙁

I don’t want to hear the ignorant verbal vomit that spews out about Covid here. Can y’all just stay on topic? Can you handle that? Some of you are so grossly misinformed and willfully ignorant, common sense sounds crazy to you.

If you wanna talk about how this impacts the season fine but if you wanna talk your diluted BS go the F into reddit or some other outlet where you can fuel each other’s ridiculous ideas.

    …………….

Man, I am only 45 minutes from his house and I have done work on the house next door. I would LOVE to be the representative from Montana for Joe if this happens!!!!!

  27. SB Says:

Doesn’t mean that I can get into the Club though unless Joe gives me a “IN” with Tom.
Calling him a ‘home invader’ probably kills that chance!

  28. lambchop Says:

Brady’s wearing the new 2020 Bucs helmet while Blaine and Ryan have their old helmets. You can see the face mask colors.

  29. ©MadMax Says:

“home intruding”, eh a little better than home invading (thanks)….it was accidental though, so that word could be thrown in but you do you.

My best friends in laws and Dad went through a home invasion about 14 years ago. He was a druggie and took their money and walked his Dad outside with a gun to the back of his head, took his keys and stole his car, but they lived and no injuries….then he killed himself in a trailer with small children in the room next to him in another home invasion later that day after the police spotted the car. He was on some stuff, probably meth.

Then an ex gf lost her 23 yo daughter to an attempted home invasion back in feb of this year. Fortunately she had a gun too and shot the guy after he shot her. He died on the scene but so did she (and she was 8 months pregnant btw, the baby didnt survive). Thats why I didnt find any humor in the home invasion moniker…..sorry.

  30. SB Says:

    My condolences Max.

  31. ©MadMax Says:

Thanks SB. Its on the news almost weekly (or more) all throughout the US. The stories are out there and sometimes people get too comfortable and think it wont happen in their neighborhood. My friends Dad and in-laws are in an aviation estate area….they have garages big enough to house small planes and a small landing strip. But 2 miles away is old country houses and trailer parks. Thats why I advocate always keeping doors locked and install security cams…and of course Im a gun guy but wont get into that topic lol.

  32. Joe Says:

Doesn’t mean that I can get into the Club though unless Joe gives me a “IN” with Tom.

Never met Brady so Joe has zero “in” with him. But given the fact Brady has joked about his bout with dyslexia reading street addresses, Joe doesn’t believe Brady is worried one bit about what Joe writes — he’s been known to call people out on Instagram from time to time.

  33. JameisAlmighty! Says:

I see we changed from this: park-violating, home-invading Tom Brady

To this: park-violating, home-intruding Tom Brady

In the space of a day between articles.

A more accurate assessment of what happened.

  36. Bucsfanman Says:

LOL! I don’t know why but I picture teacherman777 rocking back and forth babbling “Rain Man” style while reading his post.
    “Definitely, definitely, Judge Wopner….”

    Sorry! Just funny to me.

  37. ATrain Says:

How does Brady get the Nickname “park-violating home intruding”

    Yet Winston is America’s QB

THE BEST QB IN THW LEAGUE comes to Tampa and he gets that name

The idiot who couldn’t FIX ONE PROBLEM INT and was an A$$ to fans is America’s QB

    PLEASEE

THE LOVE FOR THAT GUY IS UNBELIEVABLE

Yes NFog he sucks THATS WHY HE TOOK A CONTRACT FOR under a million for one year (Griffins contract is better than that) HAHAH
