I’m hoping for Becton at 14. But i’d also be tremendously happy with Either Kinlaw or Epenesa or a trade down to 20 or so and taking Jonathon Taylor.
But, i’m also fully prepared for a wild card pick. I could easily see us picking a player Like Grant Delpit, Henry Ruggs, or Chaisson being picked.

If we can’t get an OT, I agree, trade down a few, grab Chaisson from LSU and grab Cleveland from Boise State in the 3rd round. But if we can get Thomas or the monster from Iowa? Yeah, take them at 14.

I just hope Licht’s pick doesn’t come out of left field. Most of the comments on this board have been pretty well thought out – and a consensus among them would be a good pick. That said, my favorite is Kinlaw or a top OT. If all those are gone, I would trade down. And pick an OT late in this round.

NFL network is reporting teams are spooked by Kinlaw’s injury history. Who previously had a labrum repaired in one of his hips, as well as a past back injury and two knees that multiple teams have flagged as at risk of arthritis. “Wear and tear” is the term most used following Kinlaw’s combine MRIs.

Bucky Brooks is predicting 8 OT in the first round. Wow. I haven’t seen more than 6 in any mocks. That’s not good for the Bucs if it’s the position they have targeted early. That’s unless they trade up or the run starts late.

He won’t play safety at all in the NFL. Situational pass rusher, or 4/3 weakside LB. That’s all he can play at the NFL. Hips aren’t good enough for an NFL safety.

there are sooooooo many good (#3) receivers in this draft, using the first pick on one would be ludicrous. A really asinine move. A complete waste of a pick that should be used on a potentially day 1 starting player. IF one of the top RT’s isn’t there, trade back, get more picks, and get Isaiah Wilson.

Hopefully now it gets exciting. How do you know if the Bucs can get one of the big 4 OTs? Most likely we”ll know by pick 6. If 2 x OT are gone, no way. If 1 x OT is gone, maybe. If no OTs gone, then the Bucs have a good chance. Assuming nobody jumps in for a trade. The wild card is the Jets.
Why do I say this? Because you can count on AZ and the Browns mot likely taking an OT. The Browns could trade for Trent Williams and go elsewhere and that helps the Bucs.

I think there has to be a mix of need and value.
I was one of the guys cheering on this same board 3 years ago when we drafted OJ Howard over need position studs like Tredavious White or Dalvin Cook
In hindsight, drafting a TE who is at best the third option on offense in Rd 1 was a mistake even if it was perceived as value.
But in that same draft picking C. Godwin in rd 3 was also based slightly more on value than need.

We could have tried telling sf that if they traded the pick we’d take kinlaw… Maybe they would have stayed out but maybe not. It’s possible another team could have made it worthwhile for them. I do wonder about giving up that 4th and whether we would have been better taking kinlaw or someone but 4ths don’t often work out ..

First of all the front office has not changed at all so you are wrong there, the coaching staff changed. Secondly who cares if it did as it is the Bucs and that what I care about. This team is simply full of idiots and they have now gone all in and if they dont win it all they have screwed us for the next decade. So they better win it all or these are going to be viewed as the worst moves in the history of this franchise. Brady is going to have the most perfect situation you could get and if anyone doesnt think that the results would have been similar if you gave Jameis a good running game and strong oline/defense you are insane. So we could have had this run for the next 8-10 years but due to their lack of common sense we get a 2 year run and then what?

Look, the 4th round pick would’ve been nice to trade up with or perhaps find a diamond in the rough but remember who the GM is, its like Forrest Gump’s box of ****ing chocolates and though the pick could have been useful it could just as likely been used on a bust or another kicker so its not like the Bucs traded away the 2nd round pick in 2021 to move up one but yeah Lynch did get over on Licht, probably told him the Falcons or Fins were offering a 3rd or 2nd to move up to con Jason into pulling the trigger……..

And no matter what… Jameis Winston would NOT have the same success Brady may have this year because he could never have brought Gronk here, and like Jimmy said above, there was a good chance JPP and Suh weren’t sticking around for another season of 35 giveaways by your boy wonder.

Maybe we can bring back JW on a veteran deal to start? Or draft other players or sign other free agents? How’s that’s big JW deal going? McCoy has signed with two teams, Barber signed as well.
