“The Buccaneers Are Going To Win Double-digit Games”

March 18th, 2020

Bullish on Bucs.

Playoffs? No need to pull a Jim Mora. A popular national sports radio and television personality says it just might happen.

Armed with the news that Tom Brady is expected to come to Tampa Bay, the Bucs are the new favorite NFC team of Adam Schein.

It appears Schein, like most of us, is in social isolation. But the star of “Schein on Sports” heard weekdays on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Radio and “Time to Schein” seen weeknights on CBS Sports Network, found time to tape a video with his reaction to the news.

(Since there were no sports played yesterday and for the foreseeable future, the Bucs and Brady absolutely dominated sports talk on all platforms on all the major sports networks.)

“I think with Tom Brady at quarterback, the Buccaneers are going to win double-digit games,” Schein said. “I absolutely, positively love it. … It’s going to be a wonderful marriage between Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.”

Schein added if you think the Bucs have good receivers now, wait until Brady starts throwing them footballs.

The Bucs “have the best wide receiver combination in the entire league,” Schein said of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. “Tom Brady is going to thrive with those guys.”

And then Schein dropped a little gem on viewers when he said don’t be surprised if Brady’s good friend Antonio Brown finds himself on the Bucs’ roster.

You can view the entire video from Schein below.

    The priority is finding a way to sign as many players from the defense as possible. Trying to sign AB would be a bad move in my opinion.

  2. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

    Well Yeah !…

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Shore-up the Oline…..improve the running game…..Brady will dink & dunk us to the playoffs…..
    Look for Cameron Brate, Scotty Miller & Rojo to be a big part of the offense…

    And with fewer turnovers and field position….our defense will be fantastic.

  4. WestChap Says:

    Christmas in March!

  5. BigPoppaBuc Says:

    The Bucs have been the number one story in football for 24 hours and I’m already sick of it. Sadly, we Bucs fans have learned to fear Buc Hype. It’s about to be poured on.

  6. MadMax Says:

    Oh you GD STRAIGHT we are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    FULL ON SAVAGE MODE! JPP LEADING THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Nate Says:

    Where is Ndog?

  8. MadMax Says:

    WHO WINS SUPERBOWLS? A STRONG D! GLAD BRADY IS NOW HERE, BUT FIRE UP THAT FKN D!!!!!!!

  9. Bobby Says:

    Stay away from AB. Great player but a cancer for the culture of the team. I’ll take Evans any day. Godwin will become the best receiver in our team. He runs great routes and catches everything thrown his way. Brady will find him Mr Reliable.

  10. BacktaBucs Says:

    It’s a new day in Tampa Bay!!!!! Go Bucs!

  11. BucDan Says:

    I am looking forward to an increased throwing accuracy, which is going to lead to some major YAC.

    Also, how many times do you think TB is going to miss ME throwing up his hand on the deep ball? Mikey might blow up like he’s never seen, let alone what Godwin brings to the table.

  12. BradyBucs Says:

    This is the year. DEF won’t be in the field the entire game. Last year, they barely got a chance to get a sip of Gatorade before JayMiss threw an INT and they had to drag their tired asses back into the field. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!!!!! TB+TB=SB!!!!!

  13. MadMax Says:

    You doubters need to listen to some Tool “46 and 2″…..we’ve been in the midst of a lot of change thanks to Mr. Licht and the Glazers with BA being the latest addition.

    We’ve been chasing relevancy that works for a wile now, but didnt have the pieces to make it work…until now.

    UNTIL NOW!

  14. stpetebucsfan Says:

    @Nate

    NDOG is fine and he took the high road yesterday. It’ time to let bygones be bygones. He was obviously a VERY passionate JW supporter. But once it became clear that the deal was going on NDOG took the HIGH road something that I rarely see here. I always felt NDOG’s pain so I tried not to judge too harshly.
    He’s still a Buc brother!

    As for me…I remember joining with others who pointed out Brady would give us instant relevance…but I was overwhelmed yesterday. The first FULL HOUR I watched last night was nothing but Brady and the Bucs. As Joe points out with no other sports to distract a giant story just blew up to HUGE!

  15. Dapostman Says:

    Boy this guy is really reaching. I mean geez realistically the Bucs should have won 9 games in 2019. Two games where the kicker couldn’t make FG’s with a 94% make rate.

    Throw in a game that they might have won in Tennessee where the ref blew the whistle too soon and wala there’s your 10 games.

    I get the excitement but looking at this deal of 30M,

    1) 43 years old
    2) Florida heat and is 8-10 career in Miami
    3) No chemistry with current roster
    4) Last 9 games went 4-5
    5) Division and conference tougher

    Hopefully optimistic as I always am but the inevitable decline will take place.

    Bigpoppabuc is already tired of the media coverage. 20yrs of irrelevancy and youre being a limp dick. I hope corona eats your brain

  18. stpetebucsfan Says:

    BTW

    Only two downers…even a mention of Antonio Brown scares the beejesus out of me.

    What is the strongest position on this team? The argument certainly starts with our WR’s and TE’s. We do not NEED another target…and we certainly don’t need a very expensive head case.

    The beauty of ME13 and Godwin is that they are class acts…the very opposite of the normal prima donna WR’s…why on freaking earth would we mess with chemistry at a position with two stars after the same ball…a position usually occupied by me..me..me players…can you say AB!

    The other disturbing silly news was a rumer that we’d trade Godwin and a #1 pick for Todd Gurley and ???. Of all the things I’ve heard that is absolutely the craziest. Pay 17 million to Gurley? We do not need him…we have ROJO and the draft provides good RB’s every year.

  19. John Says:

    Not real big on Brown but those people who make any personnel decisions are way more plugged in than I will ever be but I am fully on board with 12 wins or more…. It’s so nice to be relevant again and those of us but fans know what type of talent we have on our roster now the rest of the nation will sit up and respect the buccaneers…
    I’m nearly as excited that jameis is no longer part of the organization and I wonder if he’ll ever be heard from again? i.e. can anyone say Josh Freeman??

  20. Nate Says:

    @stpete

    Took the high road!? That guy has been on here for months calling everyone that didn’t agree with him a moron or idiot! I barely comment on this site, but that guy has insulted everyone that didn’t think Jameis walked on water.

  21. PragueBucsFan Says:

    We need a massive improvement in the run game to take pressure off TB should be priority #1

  22. 813bucboi Says:

    stpete

    lol…

    that puppy needs his tail stepped on several times a day for all the insults and BS he was posting…..lol….

    ndog is upset because his QB JW pissed away 2019 and we rubbed his nose in it….

    he deserves all the ball busting he gets….lol….

    HEY NDOG!!!!…JW IS A BUST!!!!!!….LMAO!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  23. 813bucboi Says:

    i would be cool with AB….dont really need him imo but we have the leadership in the locker room to keep him in check…..

    i’d rather have leonard floyd….

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  24. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    National Media: The Bucs have Evans, Godwin and OJ! ”

    The reality: The Bucs have

    • Mike Evans
    • Chris Godwin
    • Cam Brate (who is about to have his best year ever)
    • OJ Howard
    • Rojo (surging)
    • Scotty Miller (surging in development)

    I can see Godwin playing slot with OJ playing in the second WR spot (if he can stay healthy). Godwin is our best yards after catch guy.

    But Brate will also be great, because he plays the area of the field that Tom loves.

    So far as control, I expect Tom to review the playbook and help refine it, pointing out what works best for him. Arians is one of the best at adapting to veterans.

  25. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    813, that is a horrible idea. AB is a DJax type of distraction. Worse. Thankfully, I don’t see the Bucs making the mistake again.

  26. Cannuckbuc Says:

    Looking forward to our new team but as a long time Buc fan always looking for the down side, could we actually be a consistent team? my world is up side down and feeling giddy …. is it just me?

  27. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    I would love to have Jacob Eason learn behind Tom Brady. Or Tua.

  28. LaMarcus Says:

    Not buying any wins in March. We learned our lesson. We still have to play the games

    Since we hired Brady to fix us. When will Mike get traded and AB coming?

  29. Cannuckbuc Says:

    would love to see JW learn behind Brady but mite not work in the locker room

  30. MadMax Says:

    Thank you Joes…..we going places brothers!!! Get ready!

  31. Waterboy Says:

    Noooo thank you to AB!!!!

  32. Craig Says:

    Take away four of the six games Jameis gave away and the Bucs could have been 11-5.

    There are always a couple of games that you can’t win, but the Bucs will stay in the close kind this season

  33. Waterboy Says:

    Someone need to go do a wellness check on NDog.

  34. 813bucboi Says:

    bonzai

    how is it horrible?….

    you think BA would put up with his crap?…..or JPP?…or SUH?….or BRADY?….

    AB aint worth 10mil right now….he can sign him to a 1year 5mil non guaranteed contract….he acts up in OTAs or TC and he’s gone…again…

    we have the leadership on this team to keep him in check…..im i saying run out and sign him?…hell no…but if we did, i’d be fine with it…..

    last year folks were saying SUH was a bad team mate and takes plays off….but he was great with his team mates and played his @$$ off….

    scared money dont make money…..

    you think D-JAX wouldve pulled this crap with brady?…hell no…lol….

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  35. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Cannuckbuc, I get it. But:

    • In his worse year (last year), Brady still went 12-4.

    • Refs will finally be favoring the Bucs. They respect Tom.

    • Free Agents will take less to join the Bucs, just to be on the same team as Brady.

    • Games will be packed with Bucs fans. Finally.

    • We’ll get multiple prime time games.

    • Brady wants another ring. Badly. He wants a 10th trip to the Superbowl, and he wants a 7th ring, which I believe will set the record.

    • With our weapons and this offense, Tom could have his best statistical year to date…which will make the media call him The Immortal Tom Brady.

    • Best news: This is a win big right now move. Bucs are going all in this year and next.

    On a side note, last year, haters were all over Jason Licht for the lack of cap space. It was his first time in such a situation. And yet, he still managed to have a great off season in 2019, and he completely turned around the cap situation within one year, giving us the 3rd most cap space. Without a significant downgrade in talent.

    And now, in 2020, he’s had another great free agency. And we still have plenty of cap space left.

  36. 813bucboi Says:

    lamarcus

    take that short leash BA shouldve used on JW and take ndog for a walk….lol…

    he’s been in that cage too long!!!!….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  37. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    813bucboi, if you think AB would play for that and not make waves, you are lying to yourself.

    And so far as leadership shutting him down, that didn’t work for Gruden and why should the team even be put in that spot for a malcontent who we don’t even need?

    Come on, man, eat crow on this one. You’re aloud to be wrong. Trust me, it’s painless. I do it all the time.

  38. Broy34 Says:

    People are already sick of Bucs hype. That’s insane. We’ve been irrelevant for too long

  39. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    No one ever said Suh was a bad teammate.

    Brown is the antithesis of it.

  40. Dapostman Says:

    Tom Brady couldn’t get AB to stick with the Patriots but now all of a sudden AB will be a model citizen with the Bucs because of Tom Brady? Throw in AB’s old coach is in Tampa and well who knows AB better than him?

    Some of you guys are delusional.

  41. J Says:

    For those who don’t want AB, I get it. But don’t think for a second that anyone the Bucs are possibly interested in are setting the price tag. Players will kill to play with TB in TB and we will set the price or they can go pound sand.

  42. orlbucfan Says:

    Brown ain’t coming here. Locker room will riot.

  43. J Says:

    And yes I’d take AB on a one year deal absolutely because he would most definitely make us a SB contender with TB, Godwin and Evans. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like him he would make our team better guaranteed.

  44. J Says:

    Yeah, sure. We get TB and possibly pick up AB and YOU think the locker room would riot? Everyone in that locker room would be on board. That makes zero sense. Our players would embrace AB and he the same because of TB. TB has a repor with AB already and WANTED him in NE.

  45. Swampbuc Says:

    Adam Schein is a cretin.

  46. BucsFIRE Says:

    ^ He has a congenital thyroid deficiency?

  47. SOEbuc Says:

    Now spend bills on a legit RT instead of drafting one. Go all out in competition and depth in the draft.

  48. RustyRhinos Says:

    SHOW ME! Don’t fluff us up with TV rhetoric, SHOW ME THE WINNING SEASON. Brady is GOAT, but he is not 38 any more he ain’t 40 anymore he is 43. I will believe the hype when I see and tally the results. Am I excited yes, but I am not going to predict Brady will bring us to the playoffs, he has never played NFL QB for the Buccaneers. And until he does win games for the Buccaneers he is just another QB.

  49. BradyBucs Says:

    TB [TB + AB]= SB

  50. 813bucboi Says:

    bonzai

    nawl man…

    you’ve ate crow all week….lol…

    you thought JW would return…lol…
    you thought no way in hell brady would come here…lol…

    AB wouldnt say a peep because the 5mil the bucs would offer would be 5mil more than any other team would offer and 5mil more than he’d make this year….

    the raiders didnt/dont have strong leadership…..AB didnt respect CARR…he’d respect brady…..there was no khail mack in the lock room….we have JPP and SUH…..

    again, im not beating the drum for AB but i wouldnt be surprised or mad if we signed him…..

    you’re wrong on this one….so get your crow ready…lol…

    GO BUCS!!!!

    dont be naive….lol…

    you may not have said but folks sure did say it….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  52. Rod Munch Says:

    I’d hope so since Winston was going to take them to 11-5 next year. I mean last year, the greatest offensive year we’ve ever seen by a Bucs team, with a decent kicker the Bucs are 9-7 — and if the refs don’t completely F us in Tennessee we’re 10-6.

    So Brady should improve on that – and I’m not being sarcastic, Brady is the greatest of all time, and while he might not be who he was a couple of years ago, he still is going to make a ton of smart plays and the team should win more games.

    Obviously I have no way of knowing that the Bucs were going to go 11-5 under Winston, but that was my pick for next year based on how close they were this year and the huge improvement that Carson Palmer made under Arians in his 2nd year.

    Is Brady good enough to get the team to 12-4? I think he is, however you always have that adjustment period which might cost a game. But if the kicker doesn’t single handedly lose two games, I think 11-5 is still the baseline for the team.

  53. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

    ^ Really hoping that Matt Gay is much better in year 2. He seems promising, and has a big leg, capable of regularly hitting from 50-55 yards… but struggled with clutch kicks last year.

    That is not uncommon for Rookie Kickers, even some of the best that have come down the pike.

    We REALLY need to see him blossom in year 2.

  54. Vorblaw Says:

    Double digit wins?!?!?!? If this move doesn’t bring a Super Bowl appearance this whole thing was an abject failure.

  55. stpetebucsfan Says:

    Dapostman

    I realize you are one of the hurt JW supporters and that perhaps influences your opinion.

    Life is full of risk and decisions. Keep JW and risk that he never gets his head on straight and continues his brain dead decision making…or perhaps finds himself and stops choking…or Brady who MAY be over the hill. It’s a risk EITHER way.

    But think of what we’re saying…hoping one guy can STOP his past ways or the other guy will continue his past ways. I always have trouble avoiding lessons from history….not absolute but certainly offering some prediction

    “Hopefully optimistic as I always am but the inevitable decline will take place”

    LMAO….I’ve already claimed the blog optimist although Joe has officially crowned someone else…but DP I can tell you optimistic and inevitable decline do not belong in the same sentence. That’s an oxymoron.

  56. Rod Munch Says:

    Tampa Bay Demon – I think Gay will be just fine this year, but it is concerning that in his entire life he’s never made a game winning FG. But he’s only ever had one chance, against the Giants – outside of that he’s never lined up for a game winner at any level. The 3 missed FGs against the Falcons was a real issue, with 2 of them misses purely on him since they were makeable kicks.

    But hopefully they just stick with him and don’t play musical chairs at kicker.

    What’s funny, is going back to the only Winston-Brady matchup we’ve seen – Winston wins it if Nick Folk doesn’t go 0/3 in the 14-19 loss.

  57. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

    stpetebucsfan Says:
    “But think of what we’re saying…hoping one guy can STOP his past ways or the other guy will continue his past ways.”

    ~~~~~~
    That is a fascinating way to put it, spbf. I have not heard anyone say it quite like that, and it is REALLY spot on.
  58. Tampa Bay Demon Says:
    Rod Munch Says:
    “I think Gay will be just fine this year, but it is concerning that in his entire life he’s never made a game winning FG.”
    ~~~~~~

    I was NOT aware of that!
    That is definitely a concern.
    I do share your optimism, though.

  59. Rod Munch Says:

    Tampa Bay Demon – Yeah, coming out of college, after he was drafted, they asked him about game winners, and he said he had never been in the position in high school or college to ever make one. Not his fault, just the way the games played out, but it is… not quite concerning to me, but of note.

    So he had the one chance against the Giants and blew it. But after that he was solid most of the year… until the Falcons game, which he lost. However people also forget that in the Houston game he missed a FG, in a game the Bucs lost by a FG. With that said it was a long FG, but that’s his game, to make long FGs.

    Again, even if it sounds like I’m down on him, I’m really not. Rookie kickers should be OK – and he was better than OK, mostly. This year he should upgrade to being solid, then by year 3, hopefully, he’s a pro-bowl level player. As long as he doesn’t flake out, but with kickers, who knows.

    I do know Roberto was chased out of town and he never missed a game winner, and with the Bucs never lost us a game. Why they gave up on hims so quickly, I don’t get, certainly not for Nick Folk. The Bucs need to not do that again with Gay.

  60. alaskabuc Says:

    That’s a huge “F” no to the Antonio Brown idea. We are in the midst of a long needed culture change, do not bring that cancerous a-hope here!

  61. Dapostman Says:

    @St Pete,

    I am always optimistic for the current season.

    I am also realistic in that 43 year old players even QB’s do decline and I am hoping it doesn’t happen during the 2020 season. It is inevitable ya know.

    Is it really that hard for you to figure that out?
