“The Other Three Are Strictly On Jameis”

November 20th, 2019

Judge Arians issued a swift ruling yesterday

A rough Sunday it was for America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston.

And in what feels like a departure from the norm, his head coach was quick throw blame Jameis’ way yesterday.

Even a football novice know Interception No. 1 against the Saints was the fault of O.J. Howard. He turned an easy catch into a juggling nightmare.

Interceptions Nos. 2-4?

“The other three are strictly on Jameis,” Arians of interceptions on Buccaneers Radio yesterday. “He tried to force one down the middle right before the end of the half …

“[On Pick 3] he gets injured, probably should have taking him out. He went to throw the ball on a bad ankle and the ball was high and hot and that ends up being a pick-6. And then the last one, you know, Ryan [Jensen] snaps the ball too soon. [Jameis is] sending the guy in motion, catches it, just throws it out to Mike and throws an interception, so three of them are on him.”

Yep, another day at the office — where we also learned yesterday the Bucs are obsessed with getting Jameis to stop throwing the ball to the other team.

  1. SB Says:

The ball placement on that pass to Howard wasn’t anything to brag about.
Still he is a professional and it hit both hands.

  2. Gettinthebucs Says:

BA calling out Jameis may be the beginning of the end for ole Jaboo.

  3. Bucsfan951 Says:

So do these 3 count against the 10 that is supposedly on jameis? I’m confused! 3 ints… 10 ints… 18 ints… 11 fumbles. Dammit I just want to win!

  4. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

Winston is CLEARLY an NFL leading quarterback!!! In bone headed dumb turnovers.

  5. Lamarcus Says:

Ppl are obsessed with JW like a drug. He consumes ppl. He takes ppl away from their lives and family. Ppl probably think about JW more than anything.

  6. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

ALSO…..I thought it was kinda low class when the interviewer asked Arians about possibly playing Griffin, in light of Winston’s injury. BA’s response “He’s not one of our best guys”. That answer reveals a lot about the lack of a “team” concept.

  7. H8JWLVEBUCS Says:

    @Gettinthebucs Says

    BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Bruce Blahak Says:

    FACTS 2019:
31st in completion percentage, #1 in interceptions, #1 in times sacked, 11 fumbles, 29th in QB rating, 24-40 career win/loss record

  9. 99.97.92.55.47.40.28.20.7 Says:

Morgus- RG4 has boggled my mind. you have a new coaching staff come in. new playbook, new offense. no ties to RG4. now you have hundreds of other unknown QBs out there, young guys, vets looking for a job, etc., including probably at least a half dozen who have played in BA’s system. Now we find out the Bucs don’t think RG4 is any good… why the heck is he on the team???

  10. D-Rome Says:

Jameis was hurt and he should have been taken out of the game. The problem is that Arians, and especially Backstabbin’ Jason Licht, would not want to deal with the backlash if Ryan Griffin looked better out there. It would be the Fitz vs. Jameis issue all over again. By the way, statistically speaking Jay-Miss is playing about as well (or as poorly) as Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitz has far less talent around him on offense.

  11. John.L Says:

The only rookie Qb in the draft that would do anything behind this offense line would be J.Hurts!!

  12. Pete I Says:

Well it seems Bruce ” Lack of preparation H – didn’t really miss coaching but why not ” Arians called it right for once.

But really the first int will be beside Winston’s name in the record book so all 4 he will get credit for. No asterisks in the record book.

    24-40

    98 turnovers

His next turnover will be his 99th!

  13. sharthappens Says:

Well duh Joe. BA knows that this clown of a QB is as dumb as a bag of hammers.

Americas QB will soon be Canada’s QB.

poor defense, they absorb most of the ire from the fans when it’s Jameis who puts them in bad situations. So many cry how some INT’s are attributed to Jameis when it’s not his fault but are always the first to attribute the points off turnovers to the defense. (short fields and pick 6’s) I contend we do have a secondary that struggles mightily but even as bad as they can be if we had a QB who was stingy with turnovers and had a 65 – 70% completion rate we’d probably be 5 – 5, or 6 -4 at this point. This team is not good enough to overcome so many turnovers. Offense and defense

  15. 813bucboi Says:

    lamarcus

you’re the only one that thinks about JW more than anything….lol…

    JW IS A BUST!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  16. Vernon Docter Says:

Winston can’t stop the turnovers. You can’t win turning the ball over. He has done all this with weapons other QBs dream of having. I would rather have a mediocre QB that doesn’t turn the ball over as much

  17. DooshLaRue Says:

Lamarcus, we’re just tired of JW effing up.
Our record is not totally his fault, but if you actually watch the games then you know he’s the biggest and most consistent problem.

  18. Frank Pillow Says:

This is bigger than Jameis- the whole team is going in the wrong direction.

  19. BrianBucs Says:

Very surprised to hear Arians say that. He is usually Winston’s biggest defender. Maybe he is finally starting to see the writing on the wall.

  20. Kobe Faker Says:

“The past 3 years, JW was able to stop the ints and end the season very effectively

Kobe is a JW apologist, JW will not be effective for the rest of the season

JW will not stop throwing ints and kobe believes Saints gave the blueprint to completely shut BAs offense down

Its time for a mutual separation

    JBF posters deserve Jalen Hurts…lol”

    Kobe JW Uhaul driver Faker

  21. LordCornelius Says:

Well if we want to change the QB it’s a decent class to do it. I like the Eason kid.

We need to fix the D more than anything, but the turnovers have been too much of a problem. That London game was too important to have a melt down performance. In general he has like 2-3 multiple turnover meltdown games a year and my hope was going into 2019 that would end but it hasn’t.

    God help us all

  22. Bradinator Says:

That last game, everyone took a day off it seems like. Yep JW threw some dumb picks, but who gets the blame for the largest coaching staff in the NFL not getting this team prepared play last Sunday? The mirror can be an ugly place, Mr. Arians. I totally thought JW would be back next year on a one year deal. in order for that to happen, he and his agent would need to cough up a discount on his services. I suspect the chances of that happening are slightly lower than a Led Zeppelin Reunion Tour (thanks Robert Plant, you’re a jerk, btw). Someone will pay for him. Here in Denver, John Elway thinks he can make a QB out of anyone (here’s a hint..he can’t). That leaves the draft. Like Arians says “No risk it, No biscuit”. WE might be there whether we like it or not.

  23. 813bucboi Says:

BA is running out of scapegoats….

he has no choice but to hold JW accountable

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  24. Jean Lafitte Says:

I can see Winston in Denver with that thin air. Instead of overthrowing players by five yards it would be by ten.

  25. 813bucboi Says:

    LC

eason is nice but i think we have to go the FA QB vet route because of the holes on the roster….

draft dline and oline early and often for the next 2 years….let the vet QB take a pounding while the young guys develop….draft a QB and let him battle and earn his spot….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  26. Aceofaerospace Says:

You can’t fix stupid. You can’t coach stubborn.

  27. Pewter power Says:

Lol damn we got some dumb fans. Y’all think if tom brady running this offense we would score everytime we got the ball. Baltimore and saints have a great offense and quarterbacks and they ain’t doing that. Bad o line plus bad defense will spell doom for anyone y’all want to come in here. Dont be stupid just because you dont like winston and not admit the defense is a major problem. Every posts it’s the same ones giving the blame to one person like we are a quarterback away from being a superbowl team and it is just ridiculous that same people blame one person every week for a loss even when he has good games.

  28. Nick2 Says:

So instead of covering for Jameis BA is finally telling it like it is. I like it we cant coddle Jameis and expect him to get better. If he doesnt quit throwing INT’s not only will we remain in the basement but eventually he will be a backup and even then a risky one.

  29. Sharthappens Says:

Pewter Power: let me break it down for you since you are the dumb one. There are several thousands, probably ten of thousands, of people on this planet that can make all of the NFL throws. There are only 10-12 humans walking the face of this earth that have the mental capacity to do it under pressure, on a consistent basis. Your retard JW is not one of those 10-12 humans.

  30. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

    Amen Sharthappens !!!!

  31. Allbuccedup Says:

Joe how many games does Arians have to lose to get fired?

  32. RealityCheck Says:

Pewter Power, include yourself in the dumb fans discussion. This article is about interceptions squarely on JW. Tom Brady wouldn’t throw those same interceptions. If you want to talk about defense, go comment on those articles. It’s a team game, and JW routinely lets his team down. Sharthappens is right.

  33. Lamarcus Says:

Yes right BA. You doing fan service by putting a pacifier in the JW haters mouths and then breastfeeding the crybaby fans I mean I get it. It’s how run a business but damn

How it is that BA said “he needs a run game” and interceptiona happens when ” he always trailing by 21 by half” and then turn around and do the same thing

  34. TOM Says:

Finally BA fesses up about Winsnone. BA was praising RG in the preseason but now all of a sudden he’s not good enough to get in a real game. Well anyway Winsnone should top the century mark in TO’s this Sunday. Sometimes I don’t think BA realizes what he’s saying.

  35. DB55 Says:

Meh I call bs. He’s appeasing the haters but wtfdik. I broke it down the other day. I agree with BA on the last int but the second was bad blocking by the RB blown blitz pick up and the 3rd and I could be wrong but I think somebody ran the wrong route.

  36. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

Yay that he’s finally kind of lightly calling out Flameis, but I find his comment on RG4 baffling and counter-productive. “He’s not one of our best” why the F would any coach say that? To make Flameis feel better? Why dog a guy who always looks great in the preseason and you may need to rely?

JayMiss can’t be fixed; stop trying and start looking for his replacement.

I understand from Joe that Andy Dalton is available.

    Peace, out

  40. LordCornelius Says:

    @813

At this point I want one of two scenarios:

1 – Keeping status quo – The defense turns a corner. Guys like Dean/etc look like studs and Winston plays well as we see more quick passing modern concepts and we finish with at least 4 wins over the next 6 weeks to get to 7-9 or better. Go all trenches in the draft and actually draft well / have an offseason where we go into next season with depth on the O-line and across the entire defense + RBs.

2 – Blow it all up – The team finishes with 6 or less wins and we fire everyone. Get a modern football mind. Unload whatever resources we can/need to and rebuild the team emphasizing trench warfare and defense over skill players and kickers.

  41. jjbucfan Says:

Everyone talks about JW3’s meaningless yards, how about his meaningless interceptions. Let me guess, that doesn’t matter. The INT at the half and at the end of the game were meaningless. Time ran out at the half and we were down by 17 with 3 minutes left in the game. The pick 6 was bad but I still maintain Evans ran a lazy looping route, it wouldn’t have prevented the INT because he broke inside and Winston threw it outside but he may have been in position to make the tackle. Maybe not but it wasn’t what cost us the game. The last INT was also a joke because our genius coaches refuse to put our 2 best RBs in to run it in from the 1 or have our 250 pound QB run a sneak. I’ll say this, 3 of those interception may be on him completely according to Bruce but none of them cost us the win.

  42. jjbucfan Says:

Anyone remember that we ran 3 or 4 plays in the entire 1st quarter? I didn’t think so

  43. Robert Says:

bout damn time he said something like this.

how about the losing record is on jameis.

  44. Old Sombrero Says:

Is BA distancing himself from JW and JL?

  45. lewis Says:

I want JW just gone and if he comes back ill take my family money and go see a real team play next year

  46. Tvan101 Says:

People really cant let go of winston, the dude is a bum.

  47. Bobby M. Says:

What i dont get are the early snaps that are leading to turnovers routinely. This isn’t his first year with Jensen, this isn’t Jensen’s first year at a new position….the dude is the highest paid center in the league and we are screwing up something as basic as the snap….at home of all places.

There’s just something there with Winston that’s not the norm…..call it bad luck….lack of detail….whatever “it” is, its persistently impacting the game week after week. There are elements to Winstons game at this point that are incredibly lacking at the elementary level. The snaps are one…..throwing the ball away is another…..completing a basic check down…..This is routine stuff that your practice squad QB could come in and execute during a game if called upon and Winston is still having trouble with it. It doesn’t make sense.

  48. Undisputed300 Says:

Look how many have come through Tampa, leave and win a superbowl. Let’s start with an offensive line get jw eyes checked. And for the whole team if you can’t give 110% on the field for 60 minutes don’t get on the field.

  49. 813bucboi Says:

    LC

    i think option #2 would be ideal….

get fresh new innovative coaches…get a boat load of draft picks…

    GO BUCS!!!!

  50. Kobe Faker Says:

“This is what is going to happen

    *Kobe dont do scenarios

After our 4-12 season, BA is going to tell the Glazer boyband to franchise JW for at least 1 year and 2020 season Bucs and JW will be much better

If Glazer boyband wants to move on from JW, BA will demand negotiated settlement release of his 4 year contract

JW will be 2020 Buc QB under the franchise tag

Kobe Faker has posted and it shall be”

  53. BucsBandit Says:

    THIS IS OBVIOUS…

Arians is ‘over’ Winston has his QB. Early on he did he best to try and defend his mistakes but now he has changed his tune (and rightfully so)…

Just ‘reading between the lines’ of his comments in the past two weeks…

“IF Jameis plays well for the rest of the season there’s a CHANCE he’s brought back.”

And now clearly stating “He threw 3 INTs that were all his fault.”

This is the beginning of the end for Jameis Winston in Tampa Bay.

Don’t be surprised to see Jameis benched for good here soon he throws an early pick or two in any of the remaining games.

You get bet your money that the Glazer Boys have had enough of Jameis Winston and are ready to start over at QB.

  54. Boombang Says:

We put so much emphasis on Winston’s Interceptions….So what I’d like to see is second run the football on three consecutive plays each series….We want him to not throw INTs…..Let’s just run the damn ball just like we did in that last series where he threw the int- two straight runs 0 yardage. Run the damn ball 8 freaking carries for an entire game and the QB is the leading rusher…..And all y’all bitch and whine about INTs thrown……BA mentioned about forcing the ball…..Thing about forcing throws – if he connect, it was a great throw….If he connects…Bad decision or force….Why don’t we not throw down field….throw the two/three yrd pass and play it safe.

  55. BucsBandit Says:

SAY HELLO TO YOUR *NEW* BUCS QB…

It will be one of the following 100%…

    – Joe Burrow

    – Tua Tagovailoa

    – Justin Herbert

    – Jacob Eason

One of these guys will be the new face of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise for the next 5+ years.

  56. BucsBandit Says:

    Boombang,

What are you crying about??? That was ONE recent game where we only ran it 8 times. We’ve run it a lot more in other games… and yet…

…Jameis still throws tons of INTs.

So quit yer whining about Jameis being an INT-Machine only because we don’t run the ball enough. LOL.

  57. passthebuc Says:

I do not care if the coaching staff stays or goes. But Licht needs to find another profession as does JW

  58. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

    Jesus, about time!!!

  59. TDTB Says:

They can and should take a QB, but I hope it’s later in the draft. They need too many players. Trade down twice in first round. Grab two of Alex Leatherwood, Prine Tega Wanogho and Tristen Wirfs. That fixes o-line.

  60. July Joe Says:

    Nice “spin” Joes.

When Arians said they were “on him”, he was simply saying they weren’t the fault of a wide-receiver running the wrong route or dropping the ball, not that he actually blames Jameis for throwing them.

He blamed the ankle for the 3rd one … Mike Evans blamed Ryan Jensen for the 4th one and Arians didn’t seem to care about that INT, and why should be as the game was over at that point.

As for the second one … Arians’ answer shows he wasn’t at all upset with Jameis for the 2nd pick, as he made the smart decision and took a shot to try and get the team into FG range before the end of the half … it didn’t work but it didn’t hurt at all either.

  61. July Joe Says:

    @BucsBandit,

NONE of those four guys you mentioned are even close to as talented as Jameis … we’d likely be 0-10 with all of them.

You can have one of those guys and watch Jameis sign with the Bears and crush Tampa next year.

The actual likely first round pick is the best offensive lineman available as what in the world would be the point of drafting a QB and letting him take the beating Jameis is taking … poor Tua’s career would probably be over by game 4 and Joe Burrow would be throwing more ducks with his WEAK arm than Peyton Manning threw in his last year.

  62. July Joe Says:

The OBVIOUS best option for Tampa is to draft the best offensive lineman available, franchise tag Jameis and see what happens next year … if the season goes great, great … if it goes terrible, they can “Tank for Trevor” as in Trevor Lawrence, a “Jameis Winston type talent”, rather than these far less talented guys in this year’s draft.

  63. Figures Says:

NDOG would say BA is wrong about the fault of those 3 INTERCEPTIONS.

Ndog would say there’s no way on this earth they were Winston’s fault.

The manual doesn’t allow for anything to be Winston’s fault.

  64. Sharthappens Says:

Yo LaMarcus. Would you feel the same way about JW if he was white? Think long and hard before you answer
