Cheer For Hard Work!

November 3rd, 2019

Asks for fans to cheer work.

OK Bucs fans, next time you hire a plumber, pat him on the back for cleaning up your toilet.

When you get a pizza delivered to your house on time, shake the delivery driver’s hand. When you get your oil changed, give the technician a hug.

Why? Because they work hard!

And by all means, make sure you give them a standing ovation.

Why?

Because Bucco Bruce Arians believes the absolute minimum requirement for a professional athlete to give is both worth your support and just as important, worth your hard-earned money.

Forget about results, that is trivial. It’s effort that is and should be rewarded and applauded. That’s exactly what Arians said live on the Buccaneers Radio Network after the game.

Never mind that your mother should be slapped for how grotesquely bad the Bucs pass defense is — Arians’ pass defense. The secondary and the team should be applauded and supported and hailed as conquering heroes for hustling.

Not for winning. But for hustling.

“It will be fun,” Arians said of playing at home next weekend. “Hopefully our fans will come out. Our guys are fighting their @ss off. You have a team you can cheer too.”

Speaking of @ss, this just frosts Joe’s @ss. “Oh, support us even though our secondary barfs on the field all the time, so badly not even Dan Marino in his prime could save us. But it’s OK, it’s fine. It’s cool. Because our players work hard.”

That plumber that comes to your house to fix the toilet. If the s(p)it backs up the moment the plumber leaves, are you going to be happy because the plumber worked all day even though the job was unsuccessful?

If your pizza comes to your front door cold as ice and upside down, you going to be happy just because the delivery person was panting while running up your driveway?

If your car locks up two miles down the road because the oil change technician forgot to put the oil plug back in to the oil pan, you going to be jumping up and down with glee shaking pompons because he sweated for an hour in the Florida heat?

For a professional making, at worst, $30,000 a game playing in the NFL, the absolute bare minimum one should expect is hard work.

How long would you be at your job if you didn’t produce results no matter how hard you worked?

This is a bunch of Mickey Mouse Sophomore Sam nonsense.

The NFL isn’t high school or college. The name of the game is production and to find a way to win games or step aside for someone who can.

  5. Pete I Says:

Bruce ” Lack of preparation H – didn’t really miss coaching but why not ” Arians

Not sure how many Arizona fans will be there as they are not a franchise that “travels” well.

But Buc fans are likely not to make it either.

  6. Pete I Says:

“How long would you be at your job if you didn’t produce results no matter how hard you worked?”

Winston so far has had 4 years and 8 games and is 23-39 and is by all counts a hard worker.

  7. stpetebucsfan Says:

Couldn’t disagree more Joe. The ball is not round and injuries and breaks are a big part of the game. A made FG…a couple of plays here and there and we could be 5-3.

Yeah that’s woulda coulda shoulda and doesn’t count. The only thing that should count is effort and discipline.

I agree with BA the team is playing hard but we play really stupid.

Thomas Bassenger nailed if for me describing the Bucs as not an awful team…not good team….but a mediocre team playing bad football. Mediocre teams have no margin of error.

  8. Jim Says:

    Hell yea joe

  9. Capt. Tim Says:

Yay!! Despite the catastrophic arm bump,
    We lost close!
Bet theres champagne in the locker room

  11. YuccoBruce Says:

He knows Tampa fans applaud mediocrity and I pray no one shows up next week because what are we paying are hard earn money for ? Disappointing Players or getting a good pick that Licht and the talent team have no clue how to pick !!! FAQ the Glazer Kids, FAQ Licht, and Bruce and the retreads and the rest of the idiotic staff .. Fake a heart issue and leave Tamps because once you do then Jason will follow !! Please

  12. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Lol, hopefully your fans will show up at the stadium. I am mad at myself that I am still wasting my afternoons watching this team on TV. They can’t stop any QB. Backups, scrubs, pro bowlers, it doesn’t matter all of them roast the bucs. There is NO WAY IN HELL I am paying money to watch them lose in person. You are on a four game losing streak. There will be more Cardinal’s fans than Bucs fans at the next game.

  13. Rayjay1122 Says:

Let’s have a toast for the douchebags,
Let’s have a toast for the “a” holes,
Let’s have a toast for the scumbags,
Every one of them that I know
    Let’s have a toast for the jerk-offs
    That’d never take work off
    Baby, I got a plan
Run away fast as you can

  14. Buc1987 Says:

I’m picking Zona in my work football pool.

  15. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

I disagree StPete – they are not a mediocre team. They are a bad team and bad teams finds ways to lose. Primarily it’s the defense, but you also find creative ways like missing 35 yard field goals. Today as soon as the coin toss was won by Seattle so that they could get the ball first I knew exactly what was going to happen. The only time this team is mediocre is when Jameis plays well. The only reason we had a shot today is because we had a QB that was able to go blow for blow with Russell Wilson. Ultimately though there defense is much better than ours so it was almost a certainty that we would eventually lose the game.

  16. Sbucs Says:

I’m not showing until their hard work wins a game.

  17. Tampabaybucfan Says:

What do you expect him to say??…..”Don’t bother showing up at Ray-Jay…..because we are failures….every last one of us.Our team doesn’t work hard enough to win so they are worthless”

When you lose all you have left is the hard work (hopefully) you at least have that.

  18. JimmyJack Says:

Touchdown tampabaybucfan…….This team use use some good support when they finally get back home.

They gotta start building somewhere and they gotta show us they can win their home games when we show up.

We gotta back em up and give them the home avdantage!!!

I’ll be there and will be generating as much noise as possible in the South Endzone!!!!! If that part of the stadium doesn’t get loud I’ll be disappointed in a fanbase that is too weak to help the team.

It’s still a new Era for Bucs football. Let’s help the Bucs turn the corner starting by winning your freaking home games!!!

    GO BUCS!

  19. JimmyJack Says:

Sbucs……..Thicken up and get to Ray Jay next week. Our last home game was embarrassing by the fans. Let’s give them a stronger fanbase.

We got enough bandwagoners. We need more tougher fans.

  20. soggy Says:

what was the beef between arians and leftwich on the sideline during the game anybody know?

  21. Troy Says:

And this is why the Bucs will continue to lose. You know what the Rams were last year? Losers. Anybody who thinks different than that doesn’t know how to win. The Bucs don’t know how to win.

  22. tmaxcon Says:

    JimmyJack

Showing pride in franchise not even trying to improve is stupid not loyalty….. keep buying into thier bs they have trained you well

  23. JimmyJack Says:

Don’t preach your low standards to me dude. I will keep my expectations where they need to be. You keep accepting failure and jump on the bandwagon later or thicken up and and stop being a soft fan…..Your choice

  24. Buccfan37 Says:

    BA blowing invisible smoke meekly.

  25. EA Says:

What BA probably doesn’t know is that bucs fans have seen this movie before, even this season. Bucs beat the Rams in LA and turned out to lose the next 4 games, fans are sick and tired watching one decent game and seeing this team invent new ways to lose the next four. So please you either put up a string of solid games for people to have a reason to show up at the den of depression or shut your mouth BA because this fanbase is oh so sick of failed head coaches and bogus statements , oh yeah by the way your clock management is horrible and quit praising your team on a losing effort.

  26. Bosch Says:

You are right to mock Arians, Joe. He is all talk and no substance.

  27. Howard Cosell Says:

    pos team
    pos scheme-glaser scam-artist ownership
    **** ’em
this team can rot in hell
best outcome is for them to move out of tampa

  28. Howard Cosell Says:

if billionaires weren’t above the law I actually think that an effective case could be made for a class-action lawsuit. People of Tampa bay against glaser.
