the glazers have hired 6 regimes and got 1 good year out of all of them…. stop blaming licht and the washed up old guys they are victims of pathetic owners… NO ONE HAS EVER WON CONSISTENTLY IN TAMPA EVER….. That is undisputed…. one hit wonder bands have better followups than the bucs one year wonders who luckily won a fluke championship. that highly ranked defense was legendary at choking in the post season and never mustered more than 1 palyoff win in a year until gruden gave them the raiders playbook and he cleaned up dungy’s mess….
no coach or gm can fix the bucs. it’s impossible. Madonna has a better chance of getting her virginity back than bucs ever winning a meaningful game….

Total confidence in Arians. Now, the rest of them I’m not so sure.
Keep in mind last place defense two years in a row, lack of depth and talent at certain key positions, no money, a change in philosophy, and a turnover-prone QB.
I know we’re all tired and impatient from losing but he’s not a miracle worker! This team has issues!

Just googled video search for jameis1of1. There are two interviews about his book and the Bucs. They are long, and they sound just like Licht! Even the way he says “um” and tone usage. It’s licht in my opinion.

Poor Buc fans. We lash our yearly at any sacrifice we think is the blame. You gave Koetter 3 yrs. So give Arians at least that. Losing makes everybody angry..me included. Arians won’t let this team stay this way next season. Even if he has to have a few knock down dragouts with his road dog..Licht. I have always been skeptical of Buc coaches righting the ship. But I am confident id it can be done? Arians is the man.

I remember last week the results were very confident and confident. Papa BWUCY BWuce is like one poster said….. “A FIGUREHEAD” a “MENTOR” the guy is not even calling plays for goodness sake! Thanks Glazers for keeping “TRASH” LICHT just so we could hire PAPA BWUCY BWUCE to babysit Winsty-Pooh.

tmax- I will admit that there have been some questionable calls. From my standpoint though, we’re all of 7 games in with a new HC who has taken over a historically gawd-awful football team. Like the “lost” MLB I expected growing pains.

Buddy, I’d also like to know your solutions. You don’t have anywhere near the track record of being an absolute troll like the now written off one above. I will be giving BA an opportunity to give us a winner. Which in includes, not being strangled by the cap ( next year ~$75 below the cap), and at least three drafts and three full seasons to get his guys. Unfortunately, JW decision making,l and draft picks not playing up to there draft status (at least 3 yrs in the league, I don’t expect rookies and second year guys to take over any team).

Mike Johnson, I don’t have an issue with Arians. It’s just that it’s been often reported that “No Licht, no Arians” and that he isn’t here for a rebuild. The team needs to move on from Jay-Miss and Jason Licht. If that means Arians will no longer stay then so be it.

by the way I have been going back and forth with Mr Mike Johnson for years. he and I don’t agree but he damn sure is not a delusional optimist so I enjoy a little banter with him from time to time… maybe up your meds a little and you can laugh at a few things instead of clinging to false hope and unicorns….

Obviously lots of Bucs’ fans REALLY DOWN on this club. Guess being 2-5 almost halfway through the season will do that to folks. And admittedly I get that same way during & immediately after losses. But when I look in-depth at each game, win or lose, I can always come to the conclusion that things weren’t as bad as what I thought they were OR as good as I thought they were.
Not into excuses, but it is fun to try to look at WHY WE WON OR LOST. Some games are blow-outs admittedly (remember the Chicago game last year?), but not all that often. Even when there’s say a 14 point difference in the final score, oftentimes the game turned on 1 or 2 mistakes by one team. And usually it comes down to turnovers. A positive TURNOVER DIFFERENTIAL is usually the major catalyst for victory from what I’ve seen.
Disregard for a moment the REASONS for the turnovers; just accept that they happened & see what the impact is.
Game 1: 49ers 31 – Bucs 17. Bucs had 4 TOs; SF had 2 TOs, so the 49ers had a Plus 2 differential. We had more 1st downs than they did, we rushed for more yards, we passed for more yards, we had fewer penalties, TOP was almost exactly identical (30:04 to 29:56), 3rd & 4th down conversions were identical (5-for-13). Bucs scored 1 TD (Pick-6) off of Garoppolo’s 1 INT, but got nothing off the 49ers other TO. 49ers got nothing off of Jameis’ 1st INT, but scored a TD (Pick-6) off of Jameis’ 2nd INT at the start of the 3rd qtr, and then ANOTHER TD (Pick-6) off of Jameis’ 3rd INT. OJ’s fumble didn’t hurt us (because of VHIII’s Pick-6 on the following 49ers drive). Thus the difference in the game was the Plus 2 TO differential.
Almost every game has had similar results. We beat the Panthers in Game 2 … we won the TO battle 1 to 0. We SHOULD have beaten the Giants in Game 3 (I’m still not over that loss) & again we won the TO battle 2 to 1. We beat the Rams handily in Game 4, and won the TO battle 4 to 1. We lost to the Saints in Game 5 even though we won the TO battle 1 to 0 (hey they’re a better team). But then then we lose to the Panthers in Game 6 and got absolutely trounced in the TO battle 7 to 1, and also lost to the Titans in Game 7 after getting trounced once again in the TO battle 4 to 1.
The REASON we’re 2-5 instead of 5-2 and possibly even 6-1 is because of TURNOVERS. The Bucs’ TEAM that beat the Rams 55-40 and won that TO battle 4 to 1 is pretty much the same team that lost to the Panthers 37-26 in Game 6 and lost the TO battle 7 to 1. Feast or famine. Same QB, same RBs, same WRs, same TEs, pretty much the same OLine. But a very much different quality of play on the field.
There’s no question in my mind that the 49ers, Panthers, Saints & Titans have excellent defenses (Giants’ defense is the exception if you look at our 5 losses). Our offense simply doesn’t respond well against quality defenses; never has actually since Jameis has been here. Bucs’ PREPARATION is obviously lacking in those games, but so is the offensive TALENT to play against the better defenses. That now won’t get fixed this year. HOPEFULLY our defense rises to the occasion and keeps creating turnovers of their own.

ArgYeMaties … I have ZERO (or less) confidence in Leftwich but total confidence in Todd Bowles. Less & less in Bruce Arians by the way.
Hang in there through these last 9 games and watch what this defense becomes. Even through these last 3 losses they’ve steadily improved game by game. Look beyond the scores. Hard to excel when your offense turns the ball over 11 times in the last 2 games.
