Six Buccaneers Upgraded To Full Participation

September 5th, 2019

The Bucs have a rather healthy roster three short days from the season opener at the steamy Den of Depression.

The following wounded Bucs were upgraded to full participation at today’s session at One Buc Palace: Antony Auclair (calf), Cameron Brate (calf), Lavonte David (knee), Mike Edwards (hamstring), Vita Vea (knee), Demone Harris (illness).

Great news. The thought of Vea lining up with Ndamukong Suh really has Joe fired up. Joe has no doubt that Vea’s game snaps will be limited as he gets in football shape, but he should be firing on serious adrenaline early in the game.

The Brate return is a biggie, as well. The more guys on the field that Jameis Winston feels super comfortable with the better.

Good point Joe about limited snaps for Vea. I’d expect that Mike Edwards would also get limited snaps (if any) since he’s been out so long and we may need him for Thursday night’s game if one of our safeties get hurt.

Not all that big on projections, but I’ve got a good feeling about the Bucs’ defense in Sunday’s game. I think they’ll be stout against SF’s run game, and also that they’ll eventually get some pressure on Garappolo. I could see us getting a couple of turnovers in this game. I’m still wary of the Bucs’ offense at this point, especially against stout DLines. But if our OLine can pass protect good enough, Jameis should be able to move the team with the weapons that he’s got at his disposal. I’m expecting a score someplace in the neighborhood of 20-16 … Bucs win.

Way off topic but what the hell is Rodgers doing with the porn star mustache?

  4. Rod Munch Says:

Sapp said he’d have to lose 30 pounds to have made it through the heat of mini-camp. Vita has found an easier way to make it through camp.

Buc believer – The hipsters are trying to bring it back, sort of like how Michael Jordan a few years back tried to bring back the Hitler mustache.

After watching the opening of this Packers-Bears game, I suddenly don’t feel so bad about the Bucs o-line.

I think Vea and Suh are gonna eat up double teams and our OLBs are gonna wreak havoc.

Not worried at all about the offensive line either.

You see Gdwin on the WR screens in a limited capacity?

This team is about to go off.

Demone Harris feeling better means Devante Bond probably doesn’t suit up.

All 46 first team are starting. No Excuses

Every year several good team flops and several bad team do surprisingly well. In rare cases, a team goes from a poor losing record to play off team. BA has done this twice, became coach of the year twice by making a bad team a playoff team. Hoping some of his magic rubs off on the Bucs this year.
