One In The Unemployment Column

September 8th, 2019

Bad

Yes, today was a disaster from America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston.

Horrible.

And he and Bucs coaches can’t blame an absent running game or brutal defense. The veteran QB crapped the bed.

Twenty-one million apparently doesn’t buy what it used to — and neither does the cash for four dedicated QB coaches.

Jameis did all the things he’s not supposed to do any longer, fumble, needless interceptions and questionable decisions.

That last pick to ice the game, a pick-6, really stuck in the craw of former Bucs tight end Dave Moore, the team’s official radio analyst.

“Throw it at the feet of the running back where it’s supposed to go,” Moore said after the game.

He continued to wag a finger at Jameis: “You took an intentional grounding penalty when you had a guy in the flat,” he said. “You can’t go out Day 1 and have four turnovers and expect to win the football game” (referring to the Bucs as a whole).

Jameis is in a contract year. And for a solid starting quarterback, that means asking Team Glazer for $30 million per season with a few of those years guaranteed.

This mess was a negative in the contract column, one small step toward the NFL unemployment line.

If this was a road-game performance, Joe would feel differently. (See Matt Ryan) But this was just inexcusable on so many levels. The fans deserve better.

Get’em Thursday, Jameis.

This is why we say “Show us” instead of jumping in with all the hype.

We are labeled “haters” but that’s not true.

We’re just sick of this crap-show every football season.

My God, when will this end.

  11. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

So glad I’m in Colorado to climb a 14er and was not subjected to the Bucs and Jay Miss. Sub 200 yards, 3 pics for America’s turnover machine. I’m sure all you Jay Miss lovers will come to his defense though.

  12. nomorejameis Says:

I would cut him after this game if I was BA.

  13. MadMax Says:

And start playing D. Smith at RT right now so he can get some experience under his belt.

Like I said before..Our great secondary will earn every cent of their salaries. Garapplo had mega time to deliver his passes. where was the pass rush? And Jameis just solidified his career backup status role today. He will never be great.

Why should we expect differently? He never comes through in the clutch when given the chance and throws a pick on such stupid plays. Don’t blame the o-line even on that play. No other qb throws a pick like that. I am so DONE With jameis. Call a spade a spade joe, he sucks. We had to play catch-up again because of him.

  43. Arians got Educated Says:

only now does Ariens see the true Jameis Winston! He talks a great game, says all the right things, works hard in practice, but is a turnover machine on Sunday. Can’t hit a deep ball. Joe can’t stop whining about DeSeaun Jackson who had 158 yards and two touchdowns today. Winston is horrible and so is our O line. Hargraves looked a lot better today. But you won’t hear that on this site!

  44. Bucsfan951 Says:

I knew it would be bad but this bad?… wow! Bucs lost a sloppy game. So I’m here to say I’m sorry to Tmaxi. I’m sorry for occasionally putting him down. Yes, I’m sure he was a horrible husband and an ok dad at best but he’s right about these Bucs. Very weak. I knew it in the back of my head but didn’t want to believe it. So, I’m sorry tmaxi for putting you down all the time. Please call your kids and say sorry for being an “ok” dad.

  45. Cobraboy Says:

  46. ChanEpic Says:

  49. SteveK Says:

    Awful today. Gettem Thursday!

  50. BrianBucs Says:

Inexcusable QB play. Just totally inexcusable.
Defense played well, Bucs ran the ball well. Winston totally stunk and they lost.
Let’s also not forget that the 49ers dropped what should have been 2 other interceptions.
If the Glazers extend Winston it shows how totally ignorant they are about football. Period.

  59. Wesley Says:

I’m ALREADY ready for this season to end.

  60. Armybucsfan Says:

  62. unbelievable Says:

Jameis looks like a 5th year senior, in high school.

  64. firethecannons Says:

Everything Joe said is true, running game defense showed up yet Jameis can’t stop throwing int’s one of them was on OJ but the other two were not acceptable. So embarassing to be a Buc fan with him. Most of the time I can’t watch without fully expecting an interception or sack fumble. I’ve had enough!

  65. Vincente Says:

I’ve been saying this since day one. He was never going to be the franchise QB, nearly every QB that has come in after he was injured or was benched performed slightly better or a lot better then this guy. If he’s still making these mistakes why keep him? He’s not going to get better, this is who he is. Jamies Winston is a losing QB. And stop calling him “America’s QB” he shouldn’t even be Tampa’s QB. Done. Man am I glad I still have baseball to fall back on. Go Braves.

  66. Don_RyJo(e) Says:

Well…best to get the disappointment out of the way early.

  67. DB Says:

Our QB was total Puke on field today. I had an instinct

  71. Buc4life24 Says:

  76. CG Buc Says:

JW3 is simply un-coachable. He cannot learn from his mistakes. Look at his FSU seasons to today. Same errors, same carelessness — he will not change.

The con-artist in him will tell you what you want to hear. He’s certainly practiced that patter since childhood. It’s all BS to get you to overlook reality.

  77. Tye Says:

JW has become all he ever will… We have seen his ceiling and it wasn’t high at all… So many games today were intertaining to watch with many highlight reel QB play but not from the Bucs…

  78. TheBucsAnthem Says:

The Flippin Cardinals with a losing college coach is winning with a rookie QB………………LOL

The bucs are totally upside down right now

  79. mark2001 Says:

  80. Rob Says:

Hey Joe. The human ATM, America’s Turnovers Machine, is back and as horrific as ever. Can’t stand watching my Bucs suffer because of that bafoon. Awful, expected nightmare of a non performance. The ATM owes me my money back

  81. tgregs Says:

  82. Cobraboy Says:

  84. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

  85. Asdf Says:

How are people commenting on Devin White’s play??? Did you watch the game?!?

Defense was fantastic. Did he make some mistakes and not make any splash plays? Sure. Did he lose the fame for us? Hell no.

JW’s embarrassing play was the sole reason we lost today

  86. TheBucsAnthem Says:

  92. Larry Says:

I have said before , MANY TIMES, and now I will say it again: Jameis Winston if NOT and elite NFL QB and HE NEVER WILL BE. He is what he is!!! He is average at best. He does not make good decisions, on or off the football field. Don’t care who his is coach is. He doesn’t have what players like Manning or Brady have. Great QB’s make everyone on the team better. He doesn’t and he never will.

  93. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

Lakeland… as you have said forever thebucs need to build from inside out, this team overall is BAD

  94. K2 Says:

An average QB would have won that game…Jameis was terrible today!

  95. LakeLand Says:

  97. Lifetime of suffering minus one year Says:

I have been coming here for years but I never comment. I like reading the opinions of all sides even if I disagree. I never been a Jameis homer but also thought he had potential just needed the right break. When we hire Arians I figured if he cant win with him he can’t win with anyone. Well today Jameis proved he will never be elite or even a solid NFL quarterback. Look around at the good QBs he just doesn’t have it upstairs. Maybe he can pitch for the biscuits and try mlb like Tebow. Or he can stay in Tampa……and play for the XFL team.

  98. rrsrq Says:

It is hard 2 be in JWs corner after this.

  99. WestChap Says:

I’m ready to see what Griffin can do. I don’t expect much but Bad Jameis has taken up residence in JW’s head and now JW has to take a seat for a while. Ugh.

One comment used today’s disaster to defend Koetter. He must have been watching a different game because the stingy, attacking defense and the pounding RoJo run game I saw are further indictments of Koetter’s tenure. I guess you could use today to defend Koetter’s decision to bench Jameis but that’s it.

  100. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

where is nos bos he did alot of chirpin

  101. Rayjay1122 Says:

  103. ATLBuc Says:

I’ve always defended Jameis because we had a terrible defense and were always playing from behind. But I cannot find any valid excuse for what I witnessed today. Today I have given up the hope of him being our franchise QB. Suddenly my hopes for playoffs this season have been crushed

  104. Greg Says:

I hope Jameis lovers are finally waking up from their drunk slumber realizing that he will always suck and is not a Franchise QB

  109. JimmyJack Says:

A good QB could have won that game. It would have been a easy win too. I’m on my last straw with Winston. He needs to lead this team to victory in Carolina.

The defense will be there and the running game will be there like it was today. Either freaking step up and lead this team or get out out of Tampa Bay. The verdict is in and you have sucked ass the whole time you been QB of this team. Either play professional freaking football or get out. Quite frankly I’m getting sick of you cause you are awful.

  110. mark2001 Says:

Asdf…some are just unable to deal with the fact that Jameis just put on a performance for the ages… one for Bucs lore…. a day of QB infamy…leading to difficulty in comprehending the magnitude of the stench.

Maybe Jameis has a concussion from that hit by Kwon…. lol grasping at straws

  112. adam from ny Says:

    #FitzyWentSouth

  113. Jean Lafitte Says:

so how many minutes was our defense on the field in 105% heat compared to our offense?

  114. Oneilbucs Says:

I was 1 of the guys who backed Jamies . For me to have any more confidence in him again he will have to play good and we get to the playoffs that’s the only shot now for me . I don’t want a rookie quarterback. I rather have a guy who at least plays ok . But at least we have a running back now and our defense looks like it’s going to be good. I don’t want to see Barber in the game no more.

  115. Defense Rules Says:

It’s quite obvious at this point that Jameis isn’t our QB of the future. Far as I’m concerned he just about single-handedly lost today’s game. Totally unacceptable. What really floored me was that he looked lost out there … the ‘deer in the headlights’ look. For a 5th year QB, that’s inexcusable IMO.

On the good news side, our ‘new’ defense played lights-out I thought. Take away Jameis’ two pick-sixes and we won the ballgame. Take away the other two turnovers and our defensive performance would’ve looked even better. What a shame to waste such a stout defensive performance.

  116. adam from ny Says:

    he couldn’t really hit a receiver today…

  121. Rayjay1122 Says:

Towards the end of the game the 49ers were playing back up defense and Winston could not even do anything against them. RG4 was very efficient against back ups in preseason, he knows the offense, he stays calm and poised, is more accurate and can complete a long pass. Alsi since OJ ayed so bad, if it continues, I say bench him for Hudson who catches everything he gets a hand on.

  122. LakeLand Says:

And Jason Licht gets a 5 year extension

    Lol

This has to be the dumbest franchise of all time

  123. BucsBandit Says:

    ALSO…

Notice how Jameis had like 194 yards today, but a good 40-50 of them was when the game was already over. Yet, it will pad his stats like so many of his other games.

  124. jaynav33 Says:

I agree, I myself blame the entire passing offense. Dropped passes, receivers falling when running their routes (See Peyton Barber when Jameis threw his 1st pick 6). 2 things on a positive note, our running game looked more efficient (Ronald Jones showed speed and physicality) and our defense looked like its good enough to keep us in games when the offense is struggling. Lets see what happens on TNF vs the Panthers

  125. Tbbucs3 Says:

Can BA get Carson Palmer out of retirement? That would be amazing

  126. Troy Says:

I’m done with Winston. He lost me today. If you can’t win with this defense, you can’t win.

  127. Wideleftandright Says:

Does anyone in the league office read this column? Not only has the Bucs current run of multiple loss season ruined my love for the Bucs but football overall. This is rediculous.Add insult to injury and find out J.L gets a five year extension.Wow.Anywhere else in the good ol USA should you be in charge of a product like this you would certainly be fired.
Sooo tired to see other teams come to Tampa for the cure!!! I thought Culverhouse was putting a crap product on the field but JL has topped that.
Oh ,thanks to Todd bowled ,the defense at least resembled one!

  128. NO FEAR... Says:

TIME TO GRAB A SECOND STRING Q/B FROM ANOTHER TEAM TO SAVE OUR CHANGES FOR THE PLAY-OFF’S AND SEND WINSTON PACKING …….

  129. JimmyJack Says:

Freaking zero points in an entire first half again from this garbage QB? Again with this crap?

This guy ain’t getting it and looks like he never will. Congrats Winston you now lost the support of the few fans you got left. You got three days to fix it and start to proove us all wrong. Otherwise we will start to call for the backup QB which is what would have happened to you 3-4 years ago in many NFL cities. We been patient long enough either provide results or go away. You’re freaking play is absolute BS.

  130. DB Says:

Any regrets Coach? I’m positive that you knew
Winston isn’t the answer. But you have to put up with the BS
before you can weed him out.

The last time we were in the playoffs was 08 so we’ll have to wait until 2023 (another 15 years) before the turnaround happens. I’m wondering if Ariana recognized what he was getting himself into.

  137. Bob in Valrico Says:

I wish it wasn’t true ,because it could make for a long season. Good defenses seem to be Jameis’s kryptonite. This is too many mental mistakes to win against another team that gave us chances to win.

  138. JimmyJack Says:

DR don’t get too fancy on the defense just yet. Winston keeps playing like this and he will lose the team. The lockerroom will implode and we will be treated to another crap defense just going through the motions again.

If Griffin is good, we have hope for the future. If Griffin is bad, we can use it as an excuse to tank for Trevor Lawrence or draft capital to build an NFL caliber offensive line.

  141. TB22 Says:

Winston has always been a bum.

    Stole from Publix.
    Stealing from the Bucs.

    He is a turnover machine.
He teases the Bucs just enough with his’ talent.’

In the end it just doesn’t matter. He is a loser.
    Move on from him pronto!!!

  142. richbucsfan Says:

Seriously, why does #3 have a post game press conference? Who needs to hear from him or any other player in such a venue? He says nothing except, “have to play better”. Well, Mr. QB, you’ve been saying that for going on 5 seasons. When will start to play better? smh

  143. Defense Rules Says:

Jean … TOP was just about the same for both teams. SF: 30:04 to Bucs: 29:56. The Bucs 4 turnovers were the difference in the game … no need to look any further. 49ers scored 3 pts (FG) off of the blocked punt in the 1st qtr (good job defense) plus the 14 pts off of the two pick-six INTs. That’s 17 pts right there that should be charged against the Bucs’ offense.

  144. TonyC Says:

@JimmyJack couldn’t agree more. It’s amazing I’m so desensitized by the losing that I’m really not that upset about this debacle. I remember how upset I would get after those losses to Philly in the early 2000’s. Haha

  145. BucEmUp Says:

Winston was running for his life the entire game. Jimmy wasnt..O.j missed blicks, dropped a pass for an int and lost one in the redzone for a fumble. Not one single slant route and no screens or checkdowns called when the pressure was none stop. Leftwhich was horrible and Atians knows.it. Wr have seen Jameis ball out before with a good team around him and there was nothing good about the team around him. I want Arians calling plays. If he isnt calling plays then you can t call.him a qb whisperer which leftwhich is not.

  146. mark2001 Says:

The thing that really strikes me with Jameis, is that no matter who the coach is… what they have to say….no matter the circumstances, when push come to shove, Jameis always reverts to the same QB… everything he learns if superficial. And doesn’t seem to penetrate his brain. If that doesn’t chance immediately, after all this time, there is no chance.

  147. MDBUC Says:

Please move on from this disaster of a QB…

  148. passthebuc Says:

We have an HC that is QB whisperer and a deaf QB. JW has not even progressed laterally, it is just regression at an exponential rate.

  149. Bill1949 Says:

I’ve been a Jameis supporter since he was drafted. Enough of that. Time for Winston to ride the “pine” behind Griffin. Maybe, just maybe, he might learn that he’s not the superstar he thinks he is. I think “riding the pine” while we allow our “never played a snap in the NFL,” quarterback a chance would be wise. Don’t you Arians. I mean, what have we got to lose. Arians, play the inexperienced Qb and see what happens. It can’t be any worse.

  150. Figures Says:

    @ROD

YEA YOU CANT. THATS WHY YOURE LICKING YOUR WOUNDS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO BLAME.

FKING MORONS. BOTH OF YOU. I WOULDNT SAY ANOTHER WORD UNTIL YOUR DUMBAS S QB FIGURES OUT THAT HES NOT SUPPOSED TO THROW IT TO THE OTHER TEAM.

HIDING LIKE A COUPLE OF BIT CHES THAT YOU BOTH ARE.

PUNK AS S FAT AS S LOSERS

  151. Hodad Says:

Forget Tua, anyone see Burrow last night for LSU? If he was our Q.B today we’d have won by 4 TD’s!!

  152. wantstastayabuc Says:

But wait, maybe we let him go and get a new QB and seven years from now Jay-miss is good. Won’t we feel stupid then (as opposed to when we drafted the most NFL-ready QB ever to hit the field)?

    Ndog?

  153. WeeManOfScots Says:

    mark2001…you nailed it!!!!!!!!!!!

  154. passthebuc Says:

@JimmyJack. an average QB would have won today. Our backup would have won today..

  155. gotbbucs Says:

Could it really be any worse with Ryan Griffin out there? What is there to lose? He could literally go out there and take every underneath check down and they probably could have won that game.
Sit OJ Howard while we’re at it and see what Hudson can do. Howard has turned into the ultimate “looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane player”.

  156. WeeManOfScots Says:

lol @ figures…yep…let’s see them come out now from under the bed…

  157. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Rod is on 620 WDAE defending Jameis up one side and down the other…his real name is Michael Clayton

  158. mark2001 Says:

    NFL ready..what a bad joke.

  159. Defense Rules Says:

JimmyJack … Just give the defense their due. Y’all have bad-mouthed them incessantly for years now, even though they constantly got short-changed when it came to draft picks & money FAs. Bucs’ defense played good enough today to win that game, but the mega-bucks offense puked it away. Call it like it is.

  160. Jorge Villar Says:

Winston, He’s Just dumb, No common sense and has no idea or vision. Cut him now, no one will pick him up. He wIill fail everywhere else. He will be serving hamburgers or making sandwiches somewhere.. He missed a great opportunity that very few ever have, How embarrassing.

  161. NPRSageBoy Says:

JayMiss record: 21-34 0 playoff appearance
Mariota record: 28-28 2 playoff appearances

Just sayin’. Ones an average QB, the other America’s Turnover Machine.

    Sleep well, Bruce Ariens

  162. Frank Pillow Says:

There was a lot to like today. The OL was serviceable for most of the game. RoJo looked the part of a legit NFL RB. While the pass rush was feeble, the D played good enough to win. David looked good, Vita was a force, Suh made plays, the DBs were in the vicinity of WRs (largely). Our rookie K nailed his kicks.

There was also a lot not to like. Bryon’s play-calling flat out stunk for most of the game. There was no reason to go away from the power Kappa/Jensen ISO on the DT run scheme- but as soon as they were on their heels, we went to I Backs and a zone look. I don’t get it. I just don’t. We never attached the middle of the field or took advantage of Kwon’s ejection. The holding penalties on Dot- ughhhh. I could go on and on…but Jaboo takes the cake. The game is too big for him. He has regressed to the point of being a liability on the field. He is our Blake Bortles, on a good day. On a bad day, he’s Dilfer reincarnated. If he poops the bed on Thurs (and we all know he will), Bruce will have some serious soul searching to do.

    With love,
    Dirk Koetter

  163. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Mark2001, altered was suggesting that BA gave the playcalling duties to Leftwich because he knew Winston would suck and Leftwich would get the blame instead of Arians.

  164. BFFL Says:

Only week 1 but it’s hard not to over react. That was terrible qb play

  165. mark2001 Says:

When we are no longer in the running, which will likely be about midseason, I have no problem letting Griffin play. Lets see if he is worthy of playing backup here. Can you imagine if Fitz was still here? Then Arinas really would have a tough choice to make.

  166. Pittsshore Says:

Hey all you JW lovers? How does that smelly Sanchez smell? Ha ha ha. He is a loser and so are you. Joe will see a drastic increase in user names, as all you Apples McGoo lovers will change your user ID. I have been telling you clowns that this loser will set us back ten years when we drafted him. He has.

  167. Snook Says:

Can’t blame the defense or the running game today!

Hopefully some of you idiots will finally wake up.

  168. Snook Says:

Classic Dirk Koetter today. 74 yards of rushing. 24 by the QB.

And you idiots blamed the RBs.

  169. Bucsace Says:

Winston is tragic, in every sense of the word

  170. Jeebs the Honey Bear Says:

    Ryan Griffin

  171. passthebuc Says:

    @pete1
JW will not make the ring of honor at Mc. Donalds

  172. JimmyJack Says:

Yes an average QB would have won today. All we needed to win today was to not have the QB play a bad game…….And a bad game could maybe let you still eek out a win.

But we get Winston and he was absolutely awful today. At this point it obvisous and Winston is literally holding the team back. I’ll give him the Thursday Night game to fix it but nothing less then a win is sufficient. He owes us after this crap show today.

  173. mark2001 Says:

BR75… I don’t think anyone gets a bad mark for play calling. Would Arians be any closer to blowing a fuse? I doubt it. This settles the question, I believe in the mind of many of us. If Jameis has any games like this, after this many years, he can’t be depended on to lead us to the promised land. When you are in a one game elimination, you can never afford a game like this. Time to start finding a new starting QB.

  174. ChanEpic Says:

Let’s not forget Cappa. He also had one stinky game too. He didn’t look like a pro let alone starter to me.

  175. Loyaltotheend Section 312 Says:

Raise your hand if you think Jameis is a franchise qb…

  176. TOM Says:

Give Jw one more chance Thursday & if its more of the same, its RG4 time.

  177. Topcoach_78 Says:

And OJ wanna exchange jerseys and take pics cheesing from ear to ear after the game with him dropping passes and fumbling the ball! This team is pathetic change the culture my arse!

Same ol jamies. And this idiot mike Clayton on the radio defending him. Saying “wait and be patient”
And we don’t know what we’re talking about because we haven’t played NFL football. Stfu mike. How many more years of wait and be patient do we have to suffer through.

Same sh it and expecting different results.

I don’t have to play football to know what sh it smells like.

how can brate and howard not have minimum of 150 yards receiving between them…???

It starts by fumbling the ball and having another ball bounce off your hands for an interception. Between Winston Howard Davis and Dotson we didn’t stand a chance.

  181. BA just WHISPERED Jameis SUCKS! Says:

Well BA must suck as a coach also…. can’t be that Jameis just sucks!

  182. Nptbuc Says:

All this bad talk about Jay Miss. let’s not forget that he had some excellent hand offs to Rojo! He wasn’t a TOTAL failure today. Let’s now look at Griffin just for the hell of it. Certainly made real quarterback decisions in preseason for the past couple of years. Maybe HE is the guy that is coachable and will actually listen to what he is told? Maybe HE is “America’s Quarterback”? Certainly has NEVER looked as bad as this guy has, on a routine basis. America’s Quarterback should pursue MLB. He just doesn’t have the instincts of a NFL guy. How much more proof is needed going into his 5 th year?

  183. T REX Says:

    He just another pick 6….

  184. JimmyJack Says:

DR absolutely. The defense was great today. At this point I’m just worried the offense is so bad that the defense will start packing it in in a few weeks. Call me a cynic or whatever but I seen one too many Bucs teams quite on the field.

Another year and this pathetic franchise has sucked the freaking life out of me. NE vs Pittsburg is on which is a good game and I just don’t care. Too hard to watch football after yet another embarrassment.

  185. Blackmagic00 Says:

Those saying white did nothing? Why not look at the stat sheet? And he’s sick to boot.

  186. Adrnagy Says:

Reminds me of the 7int day Big Ben had.

I’ll give Jameis and Bruce/ staff until week 4. New coach. New OC calling plays. Oline is the same but can’t get it together. Defense got it together but some went missing. And the old Jameis smells it and goes back to his own. Howard can’t catch, no hump, and oline getting bull rush over. Evans don’t want nothing to do with this mess oh and the punter gets blocked. Way to go experience coaching staff.

I would bench Dotson , Cappa, Carlton Davis and Howard. Move Ronald to the starting line up. AND start the screen pass sooner.

  187. Blackmagic00 Says:

Oh and, white is a rook in his first game and calling the defense!

  188. Figures Says:

So glad my wife still waiting on her shift change and still stuck working weekends. Because of that I couldn’t go to the game today like I had planned. Spared me the embarrassment.

  193. ElBajito43 Says:

DONT even think the Bucs would ever get Justin Herbert or any other legitimate blue chip QB. LICHT will draft another DB and pick up a D2 project QB. Buccaneers couldn’t even lose the right number of games to secure the pick, we’ll just win one game too many towards the end of the season when it doesn’t matter. Just like Winston plays nice and loose chucking the ball to Evans for completions as soon as the game is way lost and hopeless 😩

THE DEN OF DEPRESSION IS THE MOST ACCURATE NICKNAME IVE EVER HEARD. Smh, what a shame. Winston, GTFO. TAKE BYRON WITH YOU, BA PLEEEEEEEASE CALL THR PLAYS!!! Or not, whatever. THIS BLOWS.

  205. wantstastayabuc Says:

    JimmyJack,
Man, I know that you mean well, so I’m certainly not coming at you, but any fan that said “address the line”, or “get/keep a better qb for less money”, or anything else constructive that was dismissed, does deserve a bit of “I told you so” especially with all of the Pollyanna b.s. that is circulated by some on this site.

  206. Ricordo Says:

  209. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

Look Jameis sucked and lost the game. No excuses he played like crap. I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m pretty sure nobody will be the games. Soon like the rays we will have no baseball and no football because many fans just were never there.

  215. DBS Says:

  216. Anonymous Says:

Lameis Shizton…America’s Diarrhea quaterback and toilet bowloer. You guys defening this clown for going on five years must have the same last name. No one would say this piece crap is worth tolerating again. The Bucs got screwed again in the $21M waste on this loser.

  217. ColBucFan44 Says:

Besides the interceptions, JW looks awful in almost all his throws. No accuracy. Please don’t pick a QB #1 again. It has NEVER worked for the Bucs

  218. Matt B Says:

For those saying an average QB would have won the game today, that’s true… In fact, an average QB did win the game today – Jimmy G. I thought this was a 4 win team and I had this game as one of those wins. 3 wins will be tough now.

  219. SKBucsfan Says:

I saw nothing today that makes me think any less or more of Jameis. This is how he has played since day 1. Bad decisions, hangs onto the ball too long, and terrible accuracy both short and deep passes. His receivers have been bailing him out since day one. This experiment has to stop.
Does anyone remember his first NFL regular season pass? If it wasn’t a sign I don’t know what is.

  220. MTM Says:

That last pick defined Winston’s entire career. How anybody can think he just needs coaching at this point is embecilic. I wouldn’t start him juanother game. An average QB could have won today.

Sucks the government didn’t pay PHD’s (DB55) bills again. Always seems to happen around games like these, which is quite often.

Kudos to the overall team: offensive line, rb’s, d overall, special teams and coaching. You get ragged here often, know knowledgeable people disagree.

Maybe we can steal one at Carolina, or something else.

  224. Losinghope Says:

So does this mean Joe had officially broken up with jay-miss? On another note… Hopefully jw3 will do some dumb shi% to get suspended b4 Thurs. Or get arrested. Either way we need him gone

  225. fedupwiththeYucs Says:

    Dear Shameus Winston,
Here is some advice that may help you…If you are going to throw a pass…
try to throw the football to one of the team players that has the same color uniform that you are wearing. Good luck to you .
P.S. You are doing a fine job.

  226. m0j0 Says:

Bucs just beat themselves today. Winston was just awful. That might be the worst game I have seen in a long, long time from an offensive standpoint. If you haven’t figured it out by now, it seems rather obvious that you never will and the Bucs will be in the market for another 1st round QB in the draft, which is just a travesty.
