    49 ers
    Giants
    Panthers road
    Cardinals
    Falcons home
    Lions
    Titans

    Will be the wins

Season will hinge on how well the defense improves and if Jameis can protect the ball

  2. 813bucboi Says:

10-6…..we make the playoffs, face the packers in green bay and come up just short 28-24….

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  3. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

SIXTY TWO PERCENT say they we won’t have a losing season???? I want what ya’ll are drinking.

  4. Clay Travis Says:

If Jameis puts up the EXACT SAME advanced stats in 2019 as he did in 2020, the ONLY thing he will need to do to get a contract extension is end the 2019 season HEALTHY, that’s it.

The only people that don’t understand this are those who think “stats are for losers” and that GMs draft and sign players based on the “team record” they had from the previous season, rather than how much talent they have,

    If Jameis finishes 2019:

    Top 5 in Raw QBR

    Top 8 in Total QBR

#1 in the entire NFL under pressure

#1 in the entire NFL on 3rd downs (#1 in conversion percentage and #4 in passer rating)

    and HEALTHY

He will get a contract extension … even if the team goes 0-16.

That would cause the Jameis-haters to lose their minds, but that’s just the way it is. No GM in their right mind is going to draft a midget nowhere near as talented as Jameis who just happens to have a great college W.L record because he plays on a college all-star team (i.e. Tua), or some other guy who is nowhere near as talented as Jameis (Herbert or Fromm) just because Jameis’ “t-e-a-m” crapped the bed and went 0-16 despite his excellent “individual” play.

“Team fans” care about team wins … that makes many of them clueless when it comes to evaluating “individual” talent and performance.

  5. Wesley Says:

10 or more that’s funny, get real people. This team will be lucky to finish 8-8.

  6. Clay Travis Says:

NO! I copied and pasted July Joe’s post and I meant to copy and paste my own from a previous thread!!!!!!!!

    AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Make the madness stop!!!!!!!

I need my BFF @magadude to come over for a cuddle and sing sweet JAY-MISS bashing melodies in my ear.

JAMEIS WINSTON DERANGEMENT SYNDROME is real and I have it bad, but no matter, @magadude and I will soothe the savage beast we each have within and WE will still run JAY-MISS and his kind out of Tampa before all is said and done!!!!!

WE will WIN for WE are LEGION!!!

Shut up July Joe and burn your copy of the book:

JAMEIS WINSTON DERANGEMENT SYNDROME: How the Media Causes Us to Overlook the Start of a Hall of Fame NFL Career

My feelings are more important than that book’s facts and that book should be banned and burned!!!!

  7. Clay Travis Says:

    EVERYONE,

Do not listen to “JULY JOE” or any of his posts and please, for the love of all things holy, BURN EVERY COPY of the book:

JAMEIS WINSTON DERANGEMENT SYNDROME: How the Media Causes Us to Overlook the Start of a Hall of Fame NFL Career

Our feelings are more important than that book’s facts and that book should be banned and burned before other Buccaneer fans realize how Jameis actually measures up to all past Hall of Fame QBs through their first 4 seasons!!!!

  8. Miller5252 Says:

Hey Joe, any update on how our 1 eyed defensive end Kahzin Daniels is doing in practice? Any sign of life from him? Thanks

  9. July Joe Says:

    Hahahahahaha, nice meltdown @Clay Travis,

The Jameis haters are dreading the future as they all know the odds that he receives a contract extension from the Bucs if he ends the 2019 season healthy are close to 100%.

As for as “predicting” the team’s season record, who knows. Jameis has won more games than the team has been “favored” to win by Vegas, so even in regards to his win/loss record, he has overachieved, but I know that won’t mean anything to the rabid Winston-bashers.

Right now Vegas has the Bucs pegged to win 6.5 games, so I’d say betting the over and predicting at least 7 wins is a safe bet if you’re a gambler and you’re looking to make money.

HOWEVER, the ONLY games the Bucs are currently “favored” in on the entire 2019 schedule are the home games against the 49ers, Giants and Cardinals. That’s right, the team is only currently “favored” in THREE games in the 2019 season and wise fans know that teams, not QBs, win games in the NFL.

    “This is why Bookies win”

    Kobe Faker

  11. Buccfan37 Says:

Actually went up one win from the last poll. More sugar in the Koolaid.

  12. Buddy Says:

Anyone who thinks over 8 wins needs to be drug tested. Idiots.

  13. Tye Says:

    4-12 team all day long!

I’m sure the 0-16 teams in NFL history had expectations of a winning season in August also…

    Arians delegating duties
    Leftwich resume is Josh Rosen
Bowles – see Jets defense past few years
Winston – sabotages the rest of teams efforts with turnovers
    o-line – no real upgrade
    d-line – no real upgrade
Running Backs – one of the worst last year
Receivers – one of the only positives
DBs – numerous but is any actually good
    Kickers – who really knows
Schedule – home or away loses come way more frequently than winns
Uniforms – have nothing to do with their record but worth mentioning – ATROCIOUS!

  14. Eric y Says:

How can you guys even predict wins ? Seriously last 2 years been very bad … were in training camp … no player has played even a minute of action …the true answer is can’t answer now… you guys are just picking from your hearts and not your brains geez

  15. Tye Says:

    Buddy,
you hear all the time now that drug addition is becoming an epidemic in our country..

  16. Buc1987 Says:

    7

  17. 1Gr8Buc Says:

Kicking and defense just needs to be a few points better to make this a winning team. I think it will happen this year.

  18. D-Rome Says:

    6-10.

  19. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

They’ll win just enough games to put the top QBs in the draft out of reach!

  20. Sydney Says:

    3-13

  21. Rod Munch Says:

Just again showing the people who read the website aren’t the same as the people who post comments. The general audience is pretty excited about the upcoming season, while the miserable SOBs that post are just stuck in a loop where everything sucks, the team sucks, the offense sucks, Arians will be fired by midseason, etc.

  22. Magadude Says:

4 wins max. Winston gets tossed to the curb.

  23. Pryda...Sec147 Says:

RoJo is flashing who da buc knows if he will play good when the games matter I hope so I really do Jameis would be so much more lethal with the revival of Play-Action passes. I think our defense beating the offense is training camp is really intriguing and we’re going to see as soon as the first preseason game who deserves more playing time. I predict Mike Edwards has taken this job from Justin Evans.

  24. orlbucfan Says:

10 Ws based on the enthusiasm the entire team is showing. Go Bucs!!

  25. miller5252 Says:

    Thanks for the info

  26. Mord Says:

Not enough to make the playoffs, but enough to *not* have the draft pick we’ll want when it’s all over

    They’ll be frustratingly decent

And I hope I’m wrong. I’ve tried pre-season optimism since 1977, so maybe this is a better approach

  27. Rod Munch Says:

I think a 7-9 season is realistic considering how young this defense is. The offense should again be really good, but I’d expect the defense to be improved, yet still be firmly in the mid-20s when it comes to defensive ranking. So long as they’re showing improvement on defense as the season goes along, I think they’ll be in good shape going forward.

After this year you lock up Winston, the first QB ever drafted by the team to get a 2nd contract, and we should be set for the future.
