Another Physical For Arians

Rejoice Bucs fans because you have a healthy head coach that’s ready to get started.

Bucco Bruce Arians took to the podium today at One Buc Place and told the local pen and mic club that he feels great and is excited to kick off training camp.

After talking up Jameis Winston, Peyton Barber, the rookies and more, Arians was asked how he was feeling physically going into this camp, being that he is 66 years old and has a history of health issues, as many fans know. He had this to say:

“Well I didn’t gain any weight over the summer,” Arians said. “Now I can go back on my diet, now that the chef’s working again and try to lose maybe 10 or 15 before the first game. That first 25 was hard to get rid of. But, yeah I feel great. You know, I had a great physical again so I’m ready to roll.

Interesting to hear that Arians took another physical. He had one at a local hospital in early January as part of his hiring process. Whether the recent one was requested by the Glazers, or just a regular, scheduled affair for the head coach is unknown. Perhaps he’s getting them every three months?

Regardless, it’s great to hear that Arians is happy about his health.

I just listened to a podcast that had us going 2-14!!!!

What are people not seeing about this team? I mean I dont expect to see people saying we are going to be 14-2 or anything like that but how can they not see that most of our defenders were not being used correctly. Also they just go on and on about us not being able to win due to Jameis but they love Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and OJ Howard yet they hate the guy that is throwing them the ball. Isnt that curious or it is just more CLUELESS babble.

BTW on this same podcast they went on and on about how Tyrek Hill was done wrong by the media and people should have proof before judging a player. Yet there has never been any proof on Jameis yes they, along with everyone else, has him tried and convicted fully, when hes never even been charged with anything. Im not saying I know what happened in either instance but at least be consistent, geez. But that would mean they couldnt be bias so forget that.

Even the hapless defenses of the recent past….very recent past…. wouldn’t hold this team from winning at least 6 games. I expect a big focus on protecting the ball and the cerebral part of QB with Arians and Leftwich at the helm. I think the guy, if anybody, that would be poised to take over for Arians will be Byron. Todd Bowles is no slouch and could get another shot if our defense does a 180. With that said, the coaching star of the future is Byron Leftwich.

Every 3 months is common if you are on various meds, have certain injuries, etc. I’d be surprised if we hear BA was NOT going to the doctor. Here’s to hoping he stays healthy!

Ndog- I agree about the pessimism. We have so many good pieces. And now that we have better coaches people are still leery. It makes me shake my head.
As to the pundits and their opinions, sometimes you just have to tune them out. It’s opinion. Differences are inevitable AND intentional.
It’s my positivity showing but, I believe in BA. I really do think we’re going to catch a few people with their pants around their ankles. And that’s just on defense!

@NDog, just more evidence of “winning makes everything better”. I don’t know how one does not get disciplined by the NFL when there is a recording saying: “…you better be afraid of be too, b!itch…”.

If BA can get the rest of this team to play respectable defense, run game and kicking, Jameis will suddenly become everyone’s favorite for MVP candidate.

I agree with you Ndog. Most of these talking heads are more concerned with pushing the fashion envelope than what they spew from their pie hole.

66 is not that old in reality.
