Film Looks At Ndamukong Suh & Devin White

June 2nd, 2019

Bucs rookie LB Devin White

Our beloved men in pewter and red got extended time on the NFL Network Total Access show Thursday.

Producers dug up film of Ndamukong Suh and Devin White and invited two-time Super Bowl champion defensive end Willie McGinest and Randy Moss in to talk about it. No, not that Randy Moss.

McGinest served up a look at Suh as a pass rusher. He beats the Saints left guard 1-on-1 outside and sacks Drew Brees. Ironically, McGinest talks about how Suh “demands a double team,” but in the video the center immediately shades right to double team Aaron Donald, and there’s running back help there, as well.

How many 1-on-1 looks will Suh get with the Bucs? McGinest called him a 4 1/2- or 5-sack guy and highlights his strength and discipline in the run game in the second clip.

As for Devin White, McGinest is impressed by his aggression and finishing in space.

Extended time oh yea. I see the media outlets low key warming up to the Bucs.

  2. OneBuc55 Says:

On paper it looks good, but games aren’t won on paper; we still have to go out impose our will on people…

In this case, I’ll use one of the few Dirk Koetter quotes that I actually liked…”Walk softly, and carry a f*****g stick”…

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Devin White’s speed in space is explosive……he really closes on a tackle….Kwon did that on occasion but not enough…..
I am very excited to have him on our football team.

As far as Suh is concerned….if he is a wash with GMC….that would be great because we picked up $4 mil.

As far as his influence or lack thereof….I’ll leave that to all of those who have no clue how his teammates were affected by his presence.

  4. BigMacAttack Says:

Kwon has closing speed but can’t close the deal. He won’t be missed at all.

  5. Barack's Crack Pipe Says:

Kwon will probably be OK with some decent coaching, and a defensive scheme that doesn’t resemble a Chinese fire drill, but I’m glad we don’t have to wait around to find out ourselves.

DW…speed will be a blessing and a curse his rookie year as he learns OC’s tricks that will take himself out of a play…fingers crossed that he is a fast learner

  7. Eric Says:

We don’t know yet whether he will be a great NFl player, but he can darn sure ride a horse.

Add in our greatly increased secondary speed and maybe we got something.

The law of averages have to kick in sometime, we can’t suck forever.

  8. Doctor Stroud Says:

And throw in the perfunctory video of Devin White on a horse.

  9. Barack's Crack Pipe Says:

    Can the horse kick?

I think we can count on that, since he’s already a first-round talent after (what–2 or 3 seasons?) at his position.

    I’m
Always critical of the Bucs but if JPP doesn’t get hurt…
Our front 7 wasn’t that bad.
In saying that Jason after 6 drafts had nothing to show.

  12. Stanglassman Says:

Are they breaking news on D. White calling plays or do they just not know what they’ll talking about? LVD is the signal caller last I heard.

The browns and Ravens really want GMC. To make such a public plea is just not seen all that often. I

    ROFLMAO 🙂

  14. AlteredEgo Says:

Barack’s ass crack….2-3 seasons at LSU is a far cry from what he’ll see in the NFL…I and not bad mouthing him merely saying he’ll learn some tough lessons as OC’s use his own speed against him as he commits to something that is really happening away from his reach

Love the Deku annotation lol. Y’all old heads don’t know what/who that is
