Where Will GMC Land?

May 21st, 2019

Next stop?

Joe has already brought word that the Cleveland Browns are panting heavily over the chance to sign former Bucs stud defensive tackle Gerald McCoy since he was turned loose yesterday.

But other than Cleveland, who else is interested in bolstering their defensive line with GMC?

Ace reporter Steve Wyche of NFL Network has an update in this report. Demand for McCoy may or may not be high, but certainly McCoy’s agent will be sending out all kinds of signals that McCoy is a very wanted man.

It’s incredible to see how the national media and fans everywhere outside the Bucs are praising GMC while the criticism only comes from Bucs people who actually have watched him play. GMC is very overrated.

  2. Snook Says:

Not so sure the market will be so hot for McCoy. Suh has been out there for months. So unless Suh wants crazy money, McCoy may be waiting for awhile.

One thing is for sure — he’ll go to the highest bidder. He’s not taking a discount to play for a winner.

  3. Jean Lafitte Says:

It boggles my mind that Suh is available in free agency but it so many are tripping over their collective d|@ks for McCoy. They have no ideal. I hope we pull the trigger on Suh.

Exactly. They watch cut up highlights. So he looks like a monster. Little do they know, those are usually sacks in garbage time in games.

2010-2018 in Tampa – Can anyone name one game where he absolutely took over?

  5. Slugglife Says:

    Nope. Not one.

  6. BoltzBux Says:

He will be signed by DAIRY QUEEN

  7. SCBucsFan Says:

Snook why are you convinced he won’t take a discount to play for a winner? What evidence do you have to support that statement, that he didn’t take a cut to stay here?

  8. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

He grew up, and went to Oklahoma, so he grew up a fan of the Cowboys.
One thing is for sure, he will play for some team this year.

  9. Bruce Blahak Says:

@BoltzBux…LOL, the soft ice cream spokesman!

  10. 813bucboi Says:

    jean

    i agree….

    suh or l.williams….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  11. Oneyed buc Says:

Need Leonard Williams young can only get better. Suh old and slow one year and done why bother wasting 10 or 11 million in that. But JL probably will.

  12. SenileSenior Says:

I for one wish GMC well and hope he lands on the right team for him. It would be extremely ironic if he got himself a Super Bowl ring this year. No one predicted that for him if he did reconcile and play for us this year.

Perhaps, they way GMC and the Bucs parted really was “mutual” as the press release stated.

Maybe, our franchise actually respected him enough and the decision makers really personally loved him.

What happened here was either a f@#k-up, a hard headed business decision or benevolent capitalism at work. You decide! And I know you will. >:-)
    ___________
    Go Bucs!!!

  13. Lord Cornelius Says:

National media & other fans are getting excited because he’s by far the biggest name to randomly become a FA this late in the game… Suh’s been on the market for months there is nothing to write about there.

Also no teams were pushing for trades because of McCoy’s salaries – including their fans.

We’d be doing all the same things as everyone else, if became a FA in May and we had some cap space still. Not really a big deal.

  14. Oneyed buc Says:

So much for Leonard Williams bucs signed Suh.

  15. ATrain Says:

    Yes the agreement was mutual

GMC said pay me 13 million or Cut Me

Bucs mutually agreed to cut him

GMC HAS NO VALUE AT 13 million Obviously

But He thinks more of himself

If GMC WOULD HAVE RESTRUCTURED come in and had a Good year his stock with the fans would have gone way up

GMC proved to part of the Fan Base that he is a ME player

  16. Joe in Michigan Says:

Doesn’t McCoy want to be an actor when his playing career is over? The next Rosie Greir? I’m sure he wants to sign with an LA team.

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

i actually believes GMC knows..he’s gonna land with a winner. …Unlike the team he played for (Oops, sorry bout that..but its true..right?) He’s the missing piece for somebody. Good for him. I just wanna see him smilin at us come seasons end.

  18. PewterPirate Says:

Cleveland Browns would not be a bad spot for 93 if he decides on Cleveland.

  19. Buc4life24 Says:

    Who cares, we got Suh!

  20. Architek79 Says:

Can we get off of this man balls – damn it’s like he’s a super bowl winning player or something?!?!?????!

  21. Ghost of Darrell Henderson Says:

“Doesn’t McCoy want to be an actor when his playing career is over? The next Rosie Greir?”

    Or the next Rosie O’Donnell.

  22. BigMacAttack Says:

He’ll tear a biceps carrying his luggage to the airport

  23. FanO’Bucs Says:

GMC is a better player than the Bucs org is a team.

Funny to see all the focus on one player yet the team continues to suck.

It’s too bad he was on the front lines of this trainwreck organization.

    Fans can be so dumb.
