Off the top of Joe’s head, the last time the Bucs had a Chippewas player on the roster, a man from Central Michigan, it was the immortal quarterback Dan LeFevour.
Joe hopes this new Bucs cornerback is a bit better.
Defensive back Sean Bunting was selected by the Bucs in the second round this evening.

@tbbucfan I think it’s a horrible pick, especially when Joejuan Williams is still on the board. Hopefully I’m wrong though, the kid is now a bud so I’m all in for his success

Im doing more research on him and Im warming up to the pick a little bit. Unlike the CBs on the roster right now, Bunting is an ELITE Athlete. Great size, great speed, Press CB that was very productive.
Idk if he will be handed a starting job, but he gives the Bucs depth and athleticism that isnt in the DB room now.

He’s one of the most athletic CBs and players in this draft. Grear measurable and fits the defense perfectly. Also adds size to our DB group. I actually like it.

Idk if Greedy would be a fit for the Bucs. If the defense is going to be as aggressive as they are saying, the CBs are gonna have to be able to tackle. Greedy doesn’t want to do that. Understandable why they would pass on him

As everybody points out Greedy is allergic to tackling…this kid was recruited as a safety and moved to CB. Safeties are not recruited if they can’t hit.
