NFL Draft, Open Thread

April 25th, 2019

Among the thousands of daily readers here, less than 1 percent like to share a comment or two, or 10. So Joe is firing up a draft-day open thread so you folks have a place to collect your prognostications — and be praised or laughed at later.

Have fun. Play nice. It’s not that hard.

With the first 4 picks the Bucs take
    2 -OL
    and
    2- DL
    in no particular order
    Build the trenches !

  2. Aaron Says:

Anyone else in Nashville? I think we move down

  3. sarasota garey Says:

Bosa, Williams, Allen, Oliver, White, or trade down

  4. sarasota garey Says:

Maybe trade with Giants, than Denver.

  5. Nick Raugust Says:

Would love White. Need to replace Kwon and it would be an upgrade in talent

  6. 76bucborn Says:

bosa, williams, allen, oliver, white, we should get one of them

  7. Pablo Says:

Pablo says the Bucs should drift a quarterbeck in the first round. Winston is not the futue and you all kno it.

  8. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I made it! Looking forward to a stress free draft, what little I get to watch of it!

No lists, no wishes. Just taking what we get and waiting to be impressed.

  9. celly Says:

My biggest fear is that Josh Allen is on the board and we take someone else.

    🙁

  10. Costa Rica John Says:

I’m thinking it’s going to be White unless someone falls to us like OJ Howard did.

  11. Dewey Selmon Says:

Alstott’s number will be safe. #40-49 are for RB and Safeties. Devin White will have to change numbers. Josh Allen will have to switch from college #41 also.

  12. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Am I the only one having to fill out the comment form every time I post?

Is this a site-wide issue or one my system only?

  13. Thomas Says:

Ed oliver will be a buccaneer, you heard it hear first.

  14. Bruce Blahak Says:

    1-White-ILB
    2-Z.Allen-DE
    3-Winovich-OLB
    4-McSorley-QB
    5-Froholdt-G
    6-Ballentine-CB
    7-Betts-DE

  15. Easy Says:

Please for the love of this organization, draft a pass rushing end over a MLB.

  16. Bruce Blahak Says:

    or Grier-QB in the 2nd 🙂

  17. Lubby Smith Says:

Like many so-called “draft experts,” I’ve already accepted that the loser Bucs will make the idiotic pick: middle linebacker at number 5.

I hope to be proven wrong.

  18. Easy Says:

    Paw-lowski on suicide watch?

  19. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I’m fine with going with White. More than fine, since we can trade back into the first to get a pass rusher.

But after Bush and White, there are no great LBs in this draft.

So it makes sense to go after LB first…even if I really, really want a pass rusher.

But one thing I will not do is whine all year like I see most of you doing when you don’t like the pick.

Well, most likely won’t whine. It would take a truly dumb move…like drafting a kicker or QB at five.

  20. Aaron Says:

    To soon

  21. Aaron Says:

The bucs and other teams have found very good LBs in the 4th round….doesn’t need to be the 5th overall pick. Much harder to find pass rushers in any round..

  22. ITS ABOUT TIME !! Says:

If the opportunity is there trade down and pick up xpicks, resign mcoy at 4-5 million or trade him for whatever we can get, no else is gonna pay stupid money.Draft is heavy on d lineman multiple picks would be great.

  23. Locked In Says:

I’m actually more concerned with the 2nd – 5th rounds than I am about who the pick is in the 1st. We need to hit on multiple picks this year.

  24. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

Represent us well up there in Nashville, Aaron!
Which BUCS jersey did you decide to display?

  25. Arian Nation Says:

Redskins will pick a QB at #3 and Quinnen drops to #5.

  26. down in the dirt doug Says:

Licht–do not overthink this draft. Please take best player at a position of need.I think Oakland may trade up for a quarterback.Do not trade back with the Redskins unless the offer is one that can’t be refused.

  27. Cgmaster27 Says:

Pablo needs to stick to soccer and let the rest of us watch Jameis succeed.

  28. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Aaron Says
“The bucs and other teams have found very good LBs in the 4th round…”

Except there are no good ones in this draft.

Remember, it’s not outside LB, it’s inside, and those are harder to find.

  29. Aaron Says:

No Bucs Jersey – my last bucs Jersey was Eric rhett…and I sold it to a white dude gator graduate…his name was Eric rhett…he gave me $200…and I took it off in the bar…its going to be raining so I’ll be wearing a red Bucs rain jacket…if my buddy and I get lucky enough to sit near the draft stage…go bucs! Got to love us having a position of need and so many options…

  30. MadMax Says:

    Q OR D. WHITE!!

  31. D-Rome Says:

YEP! FIELDS ARE A WEBSITE ISSUE!

I just did a CTRL+F5. I don’t have an issue. It’s likely on your end.

  32. Aaron Says:

Outside of the SEC…who heard of Kwon….there see LBs out there…trust me I wont love the pick of white but he’s going to be really fun to watch every Sunday…especially our 7 week road trip

  33. Z31 BUCS Says:

    Pablo Says:
“Winston is not the futue and you all kno it.”

    ((((((((((((

    Ok…
Well…. akjhf iuh v=ahiuwh viuhaer huht ot.

  34. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    D-Rome,

Well, I would think it is firefox, but by tablet uses silk, which is chrome. My laptop uses Firefox.

If it were only my computer, it would not be happening on my tablet. But it is.

    What browser are you using?

I seem to recall an issue like this arising a long while back, but can’t recall the reason. I’ll try deleting my cookies next…although I delete them on my tablet daily.

  35. ROFOBuc Says:

Brace yourself for Devin White. Would love Josh Allen if he is there, but I think D. White will be the pick.

  36. EvolvingBucsFan Says:

    open thread already?

  37. Jay Newcomer Says:

Pick Josh Allen if there at #5 then We should trade back UP into 1st round by trading McCoy and our 2nd round pick for a mid 20’s pick
    Go Bucs!!

  38. Ndog Says:

My best guess is as follows:
    1. Devin White ILB LSU
    2. Dalton Risner OT KSU
    3. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson S/CB Florida
    4. LJ Collier 3-4 DE TCU (Maybe to low for him but he could fall)
    5. Justice Hill RB Oklahoma State
    6. Dontavious Russel NT Auburn
    7. Mecole Hardman WR/Returner Georgia

  39. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

I have decided that I am definitely ok with Devin White.

Yes I know it is a passing era and I would love a great pass rusher as much as anyone…

But there is still magic in a special MLB or ILB. One that is truly SPECIAL.
Football is still football. —- A guy that is a QB of the Defense… a leader of the troops. — We need that. Bad.

Don’t get me wrong, if we get a great DL or pass rusher, I will be very happy too.

But I am definitely good with Devin White.

  40. Erik Hesson - Fine Artist - City of St Pete (formerly known as 'The Kwon Alexander of Bucs Fans) Says:

Patrick Willis! Oh wait, I mean…

Devin White! Devin White! Devin White!

  41. Erik Hesson - Fine Artist - City of St Pete (formerly known as 'The Kwon Alexander of Bucs Fans) Says:

And for the record, Devin White IS a great pass rusher…

And he’s a great run stuffer, QB Spy, QB of the Defense, Heart & Soul of the Defense (along with JPP), a total beast in pass coverage against RB’s AND TE’s…

The Joes are WAY off base labeling Devin White as a ‘run-stuffer’ only… LMAO to that one!

  42. Bruce Blahak Says:

D.White would have an important role here…Neutralize Kamara and McCaffrey

  43. Jeagan1999 Says:

I definitely would not mind moving down a few spots with a team looking for a QB (DEN, CIN, MIA, WAS), getting 2-3 more picks, and then getting a guy like Christian Wilkins in Round 1. The guy is big, strong, fast and reliable. He graduated from Clemson in just 2.5 years, was a permanent Team Captain and has drawn praise from coaches for his incredible work ethic and unimpeachable character. He’s not quite as explosive as Williams, but he’s not far off! Use the other picks we get on O-line help (Guard or Tackle) maybe another Corner, LB etc.

One guy I hope we target on Day 2 is Andy Isabella, WR UMAS. Smallish, but super fast, great route runner, and reliable hands. Our new slot WR to replace Humphries!

  44. No expert Says:

I would think the salary cap situation will not get better next year so we will need the extra picks from trading down to have more people playing in rookie contracts.

  45. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

If they trade down with the Redskins…make sure their 2021 1st round pick is part of the package….if ya know what I’m thinking Vern……

  46. 813bucboi Says:

    thomas

    i agree….

    ed oliver!!!!!

    #REALISTKNOWSNOTHING!!!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!!

  47. Cobraboy Says:

I am totally fine with any of these:

    Williams
    White
    Bosa
    Allen
    Oliver

I want at least a DL, ILB and OL in the first three rounds.

  48. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The only player I really want to see here (by name) is WR Kelvin McKnight.

He’s not likely to get drafted, or if he is, it will be late in the draft. But if he goes undrafted, I would love for the Bucs to give his a fair tryout.

Not because I’ve seen him play though. It’s because I know his mother (attends my church) and I want good things for him. Plus, if he makes the team, there will be a Buccaneer at my church, so that would be cool.

  49. Cobraboy Says:

My *preference* for the #5 is White, unless Williams or Bosa fall.

  50. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Everyone else I am open to…for a change.

Really hard to ignore the urge to make a wish list though.

  51. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    @Cobraboy

    I do like that list.

As to Sweat (not on your list), I wouldn’t mind a second or third rounder spent on him, if he falls.

  52. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    No expert Says
“I would think the salary cap situation will not get better next year so we will need the extra picks from trading down to have more people playing in rookie contracts.”

This is a very, very good point.

My guess is that some contracts will be reworked after this draft. Mike Evans comes to mind. This year or next.

Of course, if Winston bombs, no more cap issues…just no chance of playoffs for a few more years.

  53. Bigbadwolf Says:

Anyone who has an issue with Devin White is either suffering from the PTSD that comes with being a true bucs fan or just down right crazy.

Yes DE are important in a pass heavy league but we also have to face some of the best running backs this league has ever seen and we need a GOOD mlb or ilb to shut them down.

Plus the Bucs have been boring to watch for far to long. I want the team to win and all but I also want to enjoy myself when I pay good money to go watch the games and nothing’s funner to watch than a beast mode lb going crazy on the field.

So while I hope and wish we get a beast pass rusher in the first round, by no means would I be upset if we took white.

  54. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Would be nice to just trade down a couple spots, say to the Lions, and get an extra pick for ammo.

There was talk that the Lions might move on from Stafford…so them wanting a QB is not out of the question, and knowing the Giants might take one, they might try to leap over them.

Certainly, teams would rather trade with us than the Raiders, because Gruden would r@pe anyone he trades with.

  55. Anonymous Says:

    @Joe

Help me understand your position. Just last year, you were very high on Q. Nelson and rightly so. You thought Nelson was certainly a Top 10 pick and had no problem with him being a Top 5 pick. Why, because he was a generational player, and it didn’t matter that he was a guard, which arguably is the least significant position on offense….arguably. Fast forward to this year, and you are plainly stating that you’d be outraged, and the Bucs would be categorically stupid to draft D. White. Even if you think (which I completely disagree with you) that MLB is the most insignificant position on defense, why doesn’t your logic of “generational player” follow to White? The G/C position is the MLB-type position on offense, so why the hate if the Bucs make that pick? Contradiction or the difference of opinions between the two Joes? Additionally, and I don’t know this answer to this, how many guards have been drafted Top 10 vs how many MLBs in history?

  56. Joe Says:

    Anonymous:

The most important position on defense in a pass-happy league is a pass rusher. The lone pass rusher the Bucs have is 30 with half a hand and next year is the final year of his contract.

    No more complex than that.

  57. Bigbadwolf Says:

Wouldn’t be mad with trading back and taking Brian Burns either. The kid is crazy fast and still has tons of untapped potential.

  58. ARGH_M8E Says:

BOSA, WILLIAMS, ALLEN, OLIVER OR TRADE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

    .
    .
    .
won’t last much past 10 if that long….I really like the kid as a person…got his head screwed on straight and is still growing

  60. Buc Neckid Says:

    So here’s my two cents…
No QB’s will go in the Top 4
BUCS will then hold the premium pick for those trading up to get one and will take the best trade available with Jacksonville and trade back 2 slots. The next two picks will be for QB’s, leaving one of the Bucs “Top 5” still available. My Guess they’ll go with Josh Allen picking up a tackling machine ILB in T.Coney in the Mid-Rounds.

Rd1: Pk 7 (Jax) – Josh Allen, OLB, Kentucky
Rd2: Pk 6 (Jax) – Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College
Rd2: Pk 7 – Jeffrey Simmons, DT, Miss St.
Rd3: Pk 6 – Tytus Howard, OT, Alabama St.
Rd4: Pk 5 – Tevon Coney, ILB, Notre Dame
Rd5: Pk 7 – Kahale Warring, TE, SDSU
Rd6: Pk 35 – Jonathan Ledbetter, DE, Georgia
Rd7 Pk 1 – Blace Brown, CB, Troy

Trading Down with JAX would net the Bucs an extra 2nd round pick which should then be used on J.Simmons, DT who will miss most of this year due to injury (Otherwise he is a Top 5 Pick).
    And…
*IF* Licht could pull off a draft day trade for McCoy for a 4th or 5th Rounder, that pick should be used on one of the mid-tier QB’s, Jarrett Stidham, Auburn or Tyree Jackson, Buffalo

  61. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Just curious, has anyone heard the latest injury info on Cichy?

  62. Bucsfanman Says:

    JUST…DON’T…MESS…IT…UP!
    Please!
Lets rise from the ashes and start kickin’ some a$$!

  63. bryan kohn Says:

Like BA said…. Drafting for need gets you fired. Pick the best damn player available!

  64. Pete I Says:

Talk about click bait, why is this thread already open? 60+ posts and we have hours to go…Geez

Charlie Casserly says Bosa was told he will be first overall pick

  66. tmaxcon Says:

    Bucsfanman

You will be disappointed only thing bucs do mess stuff up and embarrass themselves

  67. D-Rome Says:

    What browser are you using?

I’m using Chrome. I’d suggest deleting all of your cookies, closing the browser, and then reopen it if you’re still experiencing issues. I’m sure you already did this though. My info is being retained on my laptop and phone (because I can’t get enough of JBF on one device).

  68. JameisAlmighty! Says:

    Fireeeeee Licht!

  69. Bigbadwolf Says:

The difference between a fan and a hater

A die hard fan gets excited because it’s draft day and there’s a good chance you’re favorite team could potentially get better because of it so they wake up, get excited and want to talk about it so they jump on the best bucs site (this one) and talk to other fans about it.

A hater wakes up and reads all those comments from those diehards then makes a comment like:

    Pete I Says:

Talk about click bait, why is this thread already open? 60+ posts and we have hours to go…Geez

Which is kind of funny considering you had to open the page and read it to post. So if it’s just click bait and shouldn’t be open yet but you opened it, read it, counted how many people posted then posted on it your self, what does that say about that person.

    Just saying

  70. BridleOaks Buc Says:

Did anyone hear White’s interview yesterday on Gotlieb’s show. White said he definitely knew where he was going. When Gotlieb asked where, there was a pause, and you could tell the kid wanted to blurt it out. Right as he was about to, he stopped short and said, “top 5. I guarantee you that I’m going top 5.” Chew on that one…..

  71. JameisAlmighty! Says:

It’s never too early to boooooo Jason Licht and figure out who the next MJ Stewart or VH3 will be. Fireeeeee Licht!

  72. BucsBandit Says:

    BREAKING NEWS:

Just talked to a source (no BS) that AZ is going with Quinnen Williams.

UGH. This totally screws up the Bucs draft at #5 unless there’s a trade-up for Kyler into the Top 4.

  73. martinii Says:

    Devin White, LB
    Dalton Risner, OG
    Miles Sanders, RB
    Jamel Dean, CB
    Byron Cowart, DT
    Olisaemeka Udoh, OT
    Jimmy Moreland, CB

  74. bryan kohn Says:

    @DR. BERTO

    NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN

  75. Z31 BUCS Says:

    BucsBandit,

I just talked to a source that says your source is wrong.

  76. JameisAlmighty! Says:

    Or Austin Nefarious Jenkins

  77. JameisAlmighty! Says:

Quinnen Williams is a terrible pick! Go ahead and grab him!

  78. Bucfish Says:

    @Joe,

I don’t know why I forgot to put my name on my last post (I posted as Anonymous at 1:20 today), but I think you misunderstood me. I would LOVE Josh Allen or QW to fall to the Bucs and would draft either one of them over White; however, I would also cheer drafting White because (1) we need a MLB and (2) he’s a once every 10 years type player, just like Q. Nelson was last year. You’ve gone on record basically calling JL a moron if he drafts White, so why are you so against White given that you loved Q. Nelson just last year? Seems short-sided and contradictory. My main issue is that too many people follow whatever you and other Bucs media types say and take your word as gospel. So, you’re essentially causing a large faction of fans to boo the kid (or at least the pick) right out of the gate.

  79. Bucoholic Says:

If Josh Allen is available with the 5th pick and we don’t take him, I will absolutely lose my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For our needs we need an OLB/DE before we need a ILB. And I would be fine if they went with either DT available as well. But Josh Allen is a SLAMDUNK and we should run to the podium if he’s available with #5.

  80. Stonedbuc Says:

Need a player that can stop Kamara and McCaffery and a corner that can cover Julio and Thomas. As long as we don’t have those players we will continue to be trash and worked every year.

  81. Stonedbuc Says:

Line has to be good, a good line will
Make a bad qb look better. (Prescott, dalton, Keemun, big dick nick)

    Win in the trenches.

  82. Marlow1976 Says:

    NO KICKERS! NO SEMINOLES!

  83. Doctor_berto Says:

Why no Seminoles? Derwin James, who most people wanted last year, balled out. Jalen Ramsey is top CB too. I say no Gators

  84. Dewey Selmon Says:

If I didn’t know the Bosa brothers we football players I would swear they were strung out on Xannys.

  85. Drew Says:

OMG!!! Pablo is back from a long siesta. Welcome back Pablo.

  86. JimmyJack Says:

I’d like to give a big ole FU to the NFL for putting the draft on a Thursday Night.

    I will be hurting tomorrow.

I know Jason Licht is finalizing his plan so he’s defienraly reading this. My one piece of advice I will leave him with is that he draft hard working players. I demand it!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  87. SOEbuc Says:

    Trade back into the third.

    1. Oliver/White
    2. Lindstrom/Risner
    3. CB
    3. DE

  88. BucsFIRE Says:

    Really? No Seminoles? No Gators?…
    LOL, that is really silly.

    Bring em on.
I am a Seminoles fan, but will happily take Gators & Canes on our BUCS, too.

  89. Arian Nation Says:

0 All posters on this thread should post a number before they post signifying how many adult beverages they have consumed today. That way we know how much credence to give their opinions. See my zero?

Every one should be careful, have fun and drive safe tonight.

Don’t freak out when BA picks Darrell Henderson RB Memphis with the #5 pick.

This is SO well written, Bigbadwolf.
Pete and the other Petes just drag everyone else down.
Not me, though. I will definitely enjoy the draft.

  92. Rod Munch Says:

I have it on good authority we’re walking away from the draft with BUNCHY STALLINGS. I’ll put 100% of my credibility on the line on this one.

  93. SCBucsFan Says:

Over under on hater posters saying Licht will draft a kicker in this thread… 6

  94. Bird Says:

Doesn’t Darius Leonard play inside linebacker for colts ?

    Anyone see his stats?
    Rookie of year too
    Led league in tackles
    7 sacks

I would take him at 1 right now.
Devin white is ok to take at 5

  95. Rod Munch Says:

SCBucsFan – This thread will be a thousand posts, so I’ll easily take the over. Additionally each d-bag who says Licht will take a kicker will also think their comment is original and funny and no one else thought of saying it before.

  96. Jean Lafitte Says:

You can’t participate when your comment is always awaiting moderation. I have no reason why I’m in timeout. I must’ve showed Joe up once and he has been punishing me since. I definitely don’t click as often now

    Joe’s loss.

  97. mark2001 Says:

Some are saying White to Oakland, leaving us with Josh Allen. I can live with that.

  98. Rod Munch Says:

If White is as good as the hype, then of course you take him over a 50/50 chance at some defensive lineman busting. It’s pure idiocy to pass a bonafide star player in order to buy a lotto ticket.

So with that said I assume Licht will pass on White and draft the next Keith McCants.

  99. SCBucsFan Says:

Rod absolutely. They think they are the first one to have that idea. Makes identifying the morons so much easier.

  100. Doctor_berto Says:

Bird, Leonard is a weak side linebacker and was also a second round pick

  101. Jeffbuc Says:

Bridal oak bucs fan. Didn’t Derwin James say last year when he was asked Same question. He said he won’t make it past the bucs also. And he was are pick in like 90% of mock drafts. And he fell all the way to 17!!becasue a safety like an ilb is just not valued top ten worthy. No matter how good.

  102. Bird Says:

    Dr berto

You tube him. He is lined up behind center and def tackle. He is listed as MLB also in searches. Think he moved around.
    He is not edge rusher.

He transformed colts defense as rookie.
    7 sacks as well.

I know he was taken in second. My point is I would take those stats right now at 1. White has chance to be special. Just saying some people say 5 is to high for non edge rushing linebacker. I disagree

  103. Costa Rica John Says:

So now they are reporting M.Sweat was misdiagnosed at the combine and he doesn’t have a heart condition. I wonder where he ends up now?

  104. Bird Says:

Sweat ‘s agent doing some work then.

  105. Rod Munch Says:

Fun fact: James had more sacks than Vita last year.

  106. Rod Munch Says:

Question: Who do you take, Hardy Nickerson or Gaines Adams?

  107. Rod Munch Says:

Question: Who do you take, Derrick Brooks or Cadillac Williams?

Well obviously Caddy, because Brooks isn’t a pass rusher…

  108. Jeffbuc Says:

You guys really think we will draft an inside linebacker. In this draft that has been talked about for a couple years as being one of the deepest best defensive lineman drafts of all time. Teams have been trading proven defensive ends for draft picks this draft. Why because you can get a pro bowl defensive end on a 5 year rookie contract. You guys act like you can only get a linebacker in the top 5. David pro bowl linebacker would have more if he wasn’t in same voting as 3-4 pass rushing linebackers 2nd round. Kwon pro bowl middle linebacker 2nd highest paid in league 4th round. Beckwith before injury was on his way to a pro bowl career what round was he drafted in. You are acting like the only middle line backers in this draft are bush and white. There’s a guy from N.C. state who is right up there in speed and size and has been very productive in his college career.

  109. Rod Munch Says:

Jeffbuc – Everyone, and I mean everyone, says White is a 1st year pro bowler, who should be a superstar. Why are you passing on that in order to take a 50/50 shot at getting a defensive lineman? It’s really stupid to bypass a truly great player to buy a lottery ticket.

Now, with that said, that is all contingent on White being as good as he’s hyped to be. I have no idea if he’s that good or not since I’ve watched zero film. But the hype is universal. To bypass him because of “value” is pure idiocy if you believe the hype. If the Bucs don’t believe the hype, don’t think he’s as good as promised, then sure – pass on him. But if they do think he’s that good then of course you take him over the high risk that whoever else you take will be a bust.

  110. Joe Says:

Some are saying White to Oakland, leaving us with Josh Allen. I can live with that.

    🙏

  111. Rod Munch Says:

List of Bucs defensive lineman taken in the top 10…

    Gerald McCoy
    Gaines Adams
    Eric Curry
    Keith McCants
    Ron Holmes
    Lee Roy Selmon

So yea, those talking about how you HAVE to take a defensive lineman… there’s your history. One HOF’er, one year in year out pro-bowler, and 4 busts. So the idea of it being 50/50 was very generous by myself, it’s more like 2/3 busts.

  112. Rod Munch Says:

Josh Allen seems like a classic tweener, why is there such a belief that he’s going to be an NFL star? It’s a legit question, not a statement as I haven’t watched his film. But just from a height/weight standpoint, he seems like a guy who is too slow to be a LB and too small to be a legit edge rusher.

  113. SOEbuc Says:

Draft list for the crybaby Licht haters:

    -Mike Evans
    -Jameis Winston
    -Ali Marpet
    -Cameron Brate (UDFA)
    -Adam Humphries (UDFA)
    -Kwon Alexander (Hobart)
    -Peyton Barber (UDFA)
    -Kendell Beckwith
    -Carlton Davis
    -Justin Evans
    -Jordan Whitehead
    -Donovan Smith
    -Vita Vea

Got our first double digit sack player in ten years for a third round pick in JPP and Nassib off the streets. The guy is a good scout and knows when and where to pick up talent. It has now come to the final step to get these guys into gear…COACHING!!! And new jerseys.

  114. SOEbuc Says:

    *Ali at Hobart not Kwon

  115. GhostofSchiano Says:

    Rod Munch Says:

I have it on good authority we’re walking away from the draft with BUNCHY STALLINGS. I’ll put 100% of my credibility on the line on this one.
    —————————————————————————————-

Does he have the GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR factor?

Does he meet the required number of smiles per minute when on camera?

  116. Rod Munch Says:

    GhostofSchiano – YES!

  117. Rod Munch Says:

Bucs history of drafting defensive lineman in the top 10…

    Gerald McCoy
    Gaines Adams
    Eric Curry
    Keith McCants
    Ron Holmes
    Lee Roy Selmon

So the Bucs have about a 33% chance of not busting.

  118. Buc believer Says:

Whoever is on the board when our turn comes I fully expect Jason Gump to make the wrong move. I have ZERO faith in this guy who looks like he is missing a Chromosome.

  119. mark2001 Says:

Rod…by “tweener”, you mean a guy with great size and speed…an athletic freak. It isn’t a bad thing… in fact, some see him as the best guy in the draft, especially as a QB pressure guy.

  120. bucsince79 aka bumaneer Says:

I watched the 1st round drafts replays on NFL Network(5 years worth) & over 60% of all 1st rounders i never heard of after the draft. Mainly Dl & DE!!!!
White is the safe pick. We have no answer for Giants RB, Falcons RB, Saints RB, & Panthers RB!!!!! White will knock these stud RB’s into next week!!!! Yes we play Barkley again this year. Didn’t he put 160+ yards on us last year as a rookie????

  121. Jeffbuc Says:

Rod munch aren’t the jets fixing to release a linebacker from Ohio state that they said the same thing about. If it is guaranteed he will be as good as you guys say. He would be the first overall pick. You guys act like he is guaranteed going to have 200 tackles 12 sacks and 6 interceptions. And McCaffrey and Kamara are both going to be single handily shut down by him. He is a risk also if he turns out to just be ok and Allen or Oliver turn out to be all pro. Then what. It’s all a chance with draft prospects. I would rather take a chance on the most important position on defense. During the college season watching Allen play I thought no way we would be able to pick him he will be top three. If we have a chance at him or white it’s a no brainer. You have to remember white is getting all this great love because he did it against sec opponents. So did Allen on a team that had less star recruits on there whole defense than LSU has on there defensive line. And he still dominated when teams had to key on him.

  122. GhostofSchiano Says:

Buccaneer Bonzai Says; There was talk that the Lions might move on from Stafford…

    —————————————————————————————-

I read where he might retire early to care for his wife. Feel bad for the guy that’s a hell of a thing to deal with.

  123. Jeffbuc Says:

Bucs since 79. Exactly my point we had Kwon Alexander a pro bowler who is suppose to be a top middle linebacker in the game. And the runningbacks still did that to us. Why becasue they were never disrupted in the back field they were 6-7 yards down field before they ever even had to make a move. If the defense line is failing to disrupt the play or push the lineman back and the back has a clean hole. It doesn’t matter if you have a linebacker core of brooks, Lewis and Willis there still going to get there yards.

  124. stpetebucsfan Says:

    @Bird

Thanks so much for that example of Darius Leonard. It’s a great point and we don’t even have to go the Colts to find an LB with seven sacks in a season. We have one on our roster…LVD.

Now imagine White playing with him. If you’re a QB or an OC pick your poison. Most of the “edge” rushers being touted are one trick pony’s. Where will Allen be rushing from and how often will he be rushing the passer…pretty much same spot and pretty much every down.

Where will LVD and White be coming from. White is lightning in a bottle…big…super fast and strong and athletic.

Are we punishing LB’s because they have the ability to stop runs and drop into coverage? Therefore they do not get a shot at the passer every down.

I’m still with BA and those who believe a “generational” player deserves a pick no matter his position. The only player I pick over White would be Quinnen. And I wouldn’t be crushed if we pick White no matter who is on the board. He has the ability to truly change a game because of his speed, his motor, his drive an desire and ability to play sideline to sideline.

  125. Rod Munch Says:

mark2001 – I mean tweener in the way top guys in college who put up amazing numbers get to the NFL and bust because they’re too big and not quick enough to be a LB and they’re too small to consistently rush the passer. Seen dozens of these guys bust. Anywho, not at all saying that will happen, as I said I haven’t watched film on him – but just looking at the numbers he screams tweener. Just wondering why people seem to big ignoring that. Is he considered a 3-down player who can stand-up and play LB – did he do that in college or was he just an edge rusher? Again, not a statement, a question.

  126. Rod Munch Says:

Jeffbuc – I haven’t watched tape on the guy so I don’t know if he’s that good or not, but my point is IF the Bucs think he is that good then you don’t just skip on him to have a 1/3 chance of not busting on a defensive lineman because of “value”, that’s nonsense. If the idea is that he isn’t as good as the hype, then it’s a different discussion. But I haven’t really seen people saying he’s not as good as the hype.

  127. mark2001 Says:

Rod… 6′ 5″, 260lb., 4.63 forty… I’m not concerned about his size and speed. He is a “tweener” in the best sense of the word, I think. If there are any concerns it would lay in other areas. And I’ve really heard of none. But of course, there are no “sure things”.

  128. DooshLaRue Says:

    Hey Joe……

    It’s 1971.

Do you know what your GM is thinking?

  129. Jackwagon Says:

    I TELL YOU WHAT….

If Buffalo trades from #9 to #3 Jets desperate to trade down, for QUINNEN…which very REPUTABLE reports say Buffalo wants to do…

And Gump Stump Fat f*ckin sloppy Licht sits there and lets Beane in Buffalo with BALLS race right by us at #5 to acquire THE ONLY GEM in this year’s draft in Quinnen…

I tell you WHAT…I’LL be damned. That (thing) Licht..

BETTER EARN HIS F*CKIN PAYCHECK TONIGHT…

I can so see BUF stealing Quinnen at #3…

    Good God..

  130. Jackwagon Says:

    Hey @Joe…ur filters suck…

  131. Buc Raybolt Says:

For anyone wondering about top DL prospects, Stephen White (former Bucs player) has great analysis on most of them. Google it. Joe even cites his write-ups in a few posts.

  132. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Bunchy’s a solid guard prospect. Doubt he’ll be drafted though.
But hey, stranger things have happened. Either way, he’ll be a welcomed addition

  133. Bird Says:

    St Pete

I am Williams first too. Then white.

For some reason Allen makes me nervous . Can’t put finger on it. I know his numbers were good against SEC talent. Maybe it’s because the joes like him so much. That’s almost the kiss of death

  134. TDTB Says:

I still think it would be fun to trade McCoy and #5 to Cardinals for #1. Cards still get Murray and we get Q. Look for Tyree Jackson, comisky and Jalen Hurd in later rounds.

  135. BetterBucFan Says:

    Devin White over Josh Allen.

  136. Bucsfanman Says:

My source’s source has a source that says his source was told by another source that sources in the inner circle say a source has leaked a lead to a paper who cannot divulge their sources!

    True story!

  137. passthebuc Says:

it’s easy to say trade down however if the trade is not there, take the best available player.

  138. RODNEY ALLEN Says:

Play nice Joe doubtful but we shall see lol. No matter what some of us will be happy n some mad the rest of us will be waiting to see what this season holds

  139. passthebuc Says:

    @Bucsfanman
my source says that his source says your source’s source is a Philidelphia fan.

  140. LUVMYBUCS Says:

The 49ers are shopping Solomon Thomas

So I’ll say it again, trade Gerald McCoy to San Francisco for Solomon Thomas

    Potential DLine Depth Chart
DT Christian Wilkins | Solomon Thomas
NT Vita Vea | Daylon Mack
DE Carl Nassib | Isaiah Buggs

Sign a veteran or two (Frostee Rucker/Brent Urban) to help round the group out.
And you’ve to the makings of a good unit

  141. Bucsfanman Says:

    LUV- Yes. Please. Thank you!

  142. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Bucsfanman

    Yes Sirrrrr!!!

  143. Arian Nation Says:

The Jets would never trade their #3 pick to the enemy (Bills).

The Bucs would never trade their #5 to the Saints, Falcons or Panthers.

    Have another beer.

  144. gambelero Says:

My recommendation won’t be popular. Trade down like New England does, not in the first round, but later. Also, trade down years, like our 4th this year for a third next year or a third this year for a playoff-flash-this-year’s second in 20. They’re convinced they’re trading a low second next year for a high third this year, but we have a good chance of getting way better than that.

  145. JimmyJack Says:

Until Q gets called I will hold out hope. Don’t think he gets past 2 but drafts always have suprizes……Like when we got O.J.

No matter what happens we are in line to get a elite prospect. There’s only one way Licht can botched this and that’s by trading down too far. I won’t freak out if we stay Top 7 but any further and I will not be a happy fan.

  146. Jeagan1999 Says:

LUV….I could go for that. Especially if it involves trading back a bit, getting an extra 2 & 3, and getting Christian Wilkins in the 10-15 range. This guy is going to be a beast in the NFL! I know all the attention at the top has been on Williams, Allen and Bosa….and they are all top players….but I think Wilkins is being overlooked and is a future All Pro.

Solomon Thomas is…I believe….still on his rookie deal too, so he’s a lot more affordable than GMC.

  147. BamaBuc Says:

If Q. Williams or josh Allen are available at 5 and we don’t pick them I swear I will abandon ship!!

  148. JimmyJack Says:

Gamberano…….That’s not a bad idea but doubt Licht would do it since he’s on the hotseat and needs players this year. I listened to the podcast and Ira had another good idea to trade back into the bottom of the 1st round. I could definitely see Licht doing that…….And it would delight Todd Bowles since they prob only trade up for a defender.

  149. JimmyJack Says:

Jeagen you would trade down for 10-15 for a 2nd and third? Awful plan. What a jip.

Last year we got 2 #2 picks to move down only 5 slots…….and we didn’t have a Top 5 last year.

Furthermore we get no elite prospect in that plan. If Wilkins is elite he would t be there at 15.

  150. Don_RyJo Says:

I know Joe(s) is down on Devin White as the Bucs’ pick, but the dream of the second coming of Derrick Brooks has me thinking ‘maaaaaaaaaaybe’.

  151. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Jeagan1999

    Agreed

  152. bryan kohn Says:

Rumors have started making the rounds today in the draft community that Washington is looking to move into the top-five for what we expect to be a quarterback.

Not only are there rumors about a trade up for Washington, there is even more smoke circling saying owner Dan Snyder is taking over the first round selection similarly to the 2012 draft where he traded up for former Heisman and Baylor QB Robert Griffin III. What would a return for a trade of the fifth overall pick look like for the Buccaneers?

  153. BucsBandit Says:

    WINSTON’S REPLACEMENT WILL BE DRAFTED.

    100% GUARANTEED.

  154. sincethebeginning Says:

We will not pick at 5, we’ll move back and acquire more picks. In fact I bet more than half of the first 10 picks tonight will be made by teams that trade up. And we will try to move McCoy and will get like a 7th rounder and a bag of funyuns for him. But that’s ok because we’ll be better cap-wise. And I will not miss him at all.

We will not get White, therefore, but a solid pass rusher will be there for us just due to the sheer number of them available. We will hopefully stick with best player available at all moments and come out at the other end with a somewhat Patriots-looking draft.

And then let’s f*ckin COACH those guys!

    GO BUCS!!!

  155. Anonymous Says:

Bucs bandit, can’t wait for you to be wrong.

  156. Sport Says:

Serious question. Exploring outlier opportunities. If Kyler is there, do we bring him on for 5 cheap years and start fresh. Its not like this is Jamies’ team. He’s done equal parts good and bad in his career. If he goes out this year and shows bad Jamies, we move on and aren’t discussing signing him to +$30M per year.

  157. BucsBandit Says:

BUCS WILL DRAFT WILL GRIER (2nd Round?)

When Grier was at UF, you just know some of the Bucs scouts were aware of him and have been keeping their eye on him.

  158. BucsBandit Says:

Sport – Bucs aren’t going to sign Winston to an extension. GUARANTEED. They don’t have the salary cap space for it, and Winston just hasn’t played consistently enough.

Look for the Bucs to draft his replacement over the next couple of days.

The Winston homers on this site will be crying about it, but it’s going to happen.

  159. Jackwagon Says:

    @bryan kohn….

Born yesterday…no??? Yes. 3 days ago.

  160. JimmyJack Says:

Byron…..I have said it from the beginning. Very likely to see 2 QBs drafted ahead of us.The value of a QB is way too high in this league right now.

If any team thinks a QB is a franchise leader they will defiently pony us a hefty sum to get him. Then a quick look at who is ahead of us shows that every team is in strict rebuild mode making extra picks much more appealing ……..Funny thing is everybody wants a trade down and Licht phone might be silent when we on the clock.

  161. Ndog Says:

BucsBandit keep dreaming and talking trash brother you’re just making yourself look dumber with every word.

  162. OBP Says:

It’s been one hell of a ride GMac, I’ll miss you when you’re traded this weekend

  163. Tbbucs3 Says:

    SOEbuc

I like that you include Jordan Whitehead in support of Jason Licht. What exactly has Jordan Whitehead done other than hit hard? The reason he has so many tackles his because he never makes a play in pass coverage. Whitehead is not good.

  164. JimmyJack Says:

Bucs cemet a trade that includes a player to be named later.

Get that done and somehow find a way to get Q!! Woof……I get excited just dreaming about it. That is a major significant upgrade to the entire roster & a complete overhaul yo the entire defense in one draft round.

Then you snag them good nice role players in them late rounds and with undrafted players(an area that Licht excells in) and we are setup to have a real chance to compete next year.

I’d give Licht a freebie thigh massage if he found a way do that.

  165. Buc1987 Says:

What’s a Winston homer vs wanting the starting QB of the Bucs to succeed.

  166. SCBucsFan Says:

Luv why would the niners trade for McCoy at his salary when they can just wait and sign him when he’s released. This way they give up the number 3 draft pick for him?

  167. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    @SCBucsFan

You are assuming he will be released.

There really isn’t a need to. The Bucs don’t need his salary now.

  168. BucsBandit Says:

I love when Ndog pees in his diaper when anyone mentions that Winston just isn’t that good.

Can’t wait until the Bucs draft a QB in this draft (Winston’s future replacement) and all the homers like Ndog’s heads explode!

  169. SCBucsFan Says:

You think SF wants him at his salary for the #3 pick in the draft 2 years ago? McCoy at his salary fetches what, a 5?

  170. BucsBandit Says:

Buc1987 – A Winston homer is someone that continues to state he’s a great NFL QB regardless of bad he plays, how many turnovers he has, and how inconsistent he is.

A homer is someone that doesn’t let go of their desires even when FACTS are stating otherwise.

So there’s a big difference in wanting the QB of the Bucs to succeed and knowing that QB of the Bucs just isn’t that good and the team will be better off when they’re replaced.

  171. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Can anyone explain why the Bucs, as of this moment, need to be rid of McCoy (other than TMax, because we all know what he will say)?

They don’t need his cap money…they have no one3 to spend it on.

  172. First Down Tampa Bay Says:

    Bandit

Literally 0 chance the Bucs draft a QB this year. 0.

  173. firethecannons Says:

GMC for Pat Petersen of az cardinals

it could happen right–PP maybe wants to play for Todd Bowles

Happy NFL draft everybody, Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!

  174. JimmyJack Says:

I love Winston. He’s got my full support…….But I will say that I was critical of his sloppy play before and more then 1 poster here declared me a hater.

Point is that folks calling others haters and nugglers is nothing but a bunch of hot air………..Those are just the fans that have trouble dealing with differing opinions(love y’all)……..the best way to spot them is when they disrespect the entire fan base as a whole which happens in a good 90% of conversations.

I do enjoy arguing them but if they bother you all’s I can say is that they live in every fan base and they always have and always will.

  175. JabooBuc Says:

I believe Devin White is the pick. This team lacks leadership, especially on the defensive side, and this guy is a player and a leader. Great athlete with high character, very much in the mold of a D Brooks.

Kwon was the leader but now he’s gone. He’s in a position of need and is of the character that they need. I want pass rushers too, but this draft is deep with those players and we can get them later.

  176. JimmyJack Says:

Bonzai I explained that in detail in other article……Bottom line, it has more to do with getting rid of their old Captain…….Has less to do with getting rid of McCoy as a player.

  177. Chris K Says:

See the draft going two ways at this point… Bucs decide to keep McCoy and draft D.White or draft Ed Oliver and add a Lb at some point.. Both can be good options if our top choice has a 8-10 year run with us and that includes a couple of pro bowls and some playoff appearances.. I’m finally ready for 2019 season. Might be fun!

  178. Jonathan Limpchimpi Says:

There is plenty of risk keeping McCoy around at current 13 mil. Let’s say one of his rubber band biceps snaps again…the 13 mil becomes fully guaranteed. There’s a reason he’s not at One Buc Place.

  179. JimmyJack Says:

First Down…….I have to disagree with 0%.

Have no clue what the plan is but if I own the team and I have the QB whisperer on my staff there is no way Im not using that asset. Any plan I make would include Bruce and his ginormous staff preparing QBs behind Winston.

I will let Bruce choose his QB but not developing one is not a option.

Now if you wanna say 0% to a QB at #5 I will agree.

  180. J Says:

Man I’d love it if for some FREAK reason we could grab Grier!!!

  181. JimmyJack Says:

    I must repeat.

FU NFL for putting the draft on Thurs Night.

    It’s a crooked move.

  182. J Says:

Not at #5 obviously but, in the later rounds.

  183. JabooBuc Says:

Looks like the Chiefs are looking for a WR

  184. Buczilla Says:

Realistic wishlist for the first round in order of preference.

    1) Josh Allen
    2) Ed Oliver
    3) Trade with Denver, get an extra 2 & 3 this year and a 2 next. Draft Brian Burns, Christian Wilkins, or cross your fingers and pray that Devin White will tackle better than “row the boat” Kwon.

  188. DanBucsfan Says:

I think we take White at 5 because he will be best available on theBucsboard. Screw trading back for more picks. Get a immediate impact player at #5 and let the rest of the draft fall to us, BPA the whole damn draft. Would be lovely to get 3 starters in this draft.

  189. J Says:

    @DansBucgan….that’s funny, lol.

  190. J Says:

    *fan

  191. JabooBuc Says:

By the way, for those that don’t think character matters in the NFL, do you think the Chiefs are having to change their draft strategy at all tonight?

  192. DanBucsfan Says:

    @ J
Thanks buddy, hope everyone has some fun tonight. Lets just hope we get some QUALITY PLAYERS

  193. JimmyJack Says:

  197. JabooBuc Says:

anyone else thinks singing the national anthem for the draft is a little over the top? Love my country and all but it’s just a draft for Pete’s sake.

  198. stpetebucsfan Says:

@BucsBandit While I respect the opinions here you post like a troll anti Jameis guy.

@Sport Your question was at least respectable. IMO JW is our QB until he isn’t our QB. That means he’s OUR guy until horrible play in 19 dictates otherwise. There will be an even better selection of QB’s next year than this so might as well wait. If JW plays so poorly he’s no longer the franchise QB we’ll be picking high again anyway.

The chips have all been pushed in on JW might as well ride it out.

  199. WhatdaBUCisthis Says:

  200. JabooBuc Says:

Just a complete guess here based on the interviews i have seen, but Q Williams may fall a bit in this draft.

  207. DanBucsfan Says:

  212. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

    Finally ~~~~The draft has arrived!!!!

  213. stpetebucsfan Says:

Dang. Did you see the crowd in the street at Nashville. I’m pretty excited but not enough to stand in the 100th row in a Nashville street just to claim I was at the draft.

  214. Doctor Stroud Says:

Montez Sweat might suffer the same fate as Daquan Bowers (remember when he was once predicted to go #1 overall?) and fall precipitously. If Sweat’s there when the Bucs pick again in the 2nd round, that would be an interesting decision.

  215. Jeffbuc Says:

Here we go it’s finally time. I feel like a kid at Christmas again. Nothing compares to the excitement of the nfl draft. Hope is a hell of a thing. Let’s go Bucs and let’s go die hards and be excited for whoever we draft. No negativity

  216. Bird Says:

Did you see devin bush outfit ?

    WTF

Devin white and Olivier came out in shades looking bad ass

  217. GoBux Says:

Will we bleep up or will we do what’s right. Buckle up ladies!

  218. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Jason Licht.. there ain’t no hope in football.. get it right!!!

  219. Jeffbuc Says:

MadMax – Fired-Up brotha! How about yourself?

WhatDaBuc! – I see yah man!

  221. Arian Nation Says:

The unbearable wait is over. Hype and hope finally arrives.

  222. Jeffbuc Says:

This is as close to a regular season game excitement as you can get. Man I’m juiced. And the beers are going down like water. And have tomorrow off of work life is good.

  223. Jeffbuc Says:

Here we go my fellow buc fans.

  224. MadMax Says:

Oh yea LUV!!!! Always during this time….christmas in april….

  225. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Osh!t Mean Joe

  226. stpetebucsfan Says:

    @JeffBuc

Congratulations!!! Live in the beer soaked moment and enjoy the h out of it!!!

  227. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Max – I hear U brotha

  228. Rod Munch Says:

I turn on ESPN like 20 mins before the draft and they have the players doing a runway walk – so I turn it off since I’m not a millenial. So I turn back on the draft and they’re giving away season tickets.

What an abortion this is so far.

  229. Bucfan Says:

Allen or White…… I’m good either way.

  230. Anonymous Says:

    FINALLY IT’S DRAFT TIME!!! WOOOHOOO

  231. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Here we go!!!!

  232. Pa Privateer Says:

    What Up Buc Fans!!

    IT IS FINALLY TIME!

  233. Jeffbuc Says:

Man I hope they take a qb. That’s sets us up so nice. If they take Williams or Bosa. We will trade down to qb hungry team. And recoup the farm. Rg3 type trade to us

  234. Eric y Says:

Everyone here talking trade down , trade up , this guy that guy whatever … let’s just enjoy the draft… and get ready for the bucs to draft sweat with the 5th pick … go bucs

  235. JimmyJack Says:

This draft has sucked so far. I am very disappointed. They didn’t boo Roger Godell. Terrible opening scene.

  236. DooshLaRue Says:

    @Rod Munch

A fancy Man like you doesn’t like the runway?
    Blasphemy!!

    Go Bucs!

  237. stpetebucsfan Says:

Agree JJ but they moved it from NYC…Nashville a far more mellow city. LOL

  238. MadMax Says:

Man, I forgot we have S Bucannon….1st rounder in 2014.

  239. Rod Munch Says:

DooshLaRue – I guess since you’re a fellow of lower stock you don’t know this, but fancy doesn’t equal fruity.

  240. JimmyJack Says:

We need Arizona to take a QB. A decision worth celebrating for Buc fans!!!!!

    Kyler please

  241. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – They booed him for like 3 seconds, then stopped. I’m fine with that, the booing is so fake and such a herd mentality it comes off as being really hack.

  242. ATrain Says:

    Come on

  243. BucsBandit Says:

KYLER IS THE PICK (my buddy is in the green room now)

  244. Bucfan Says:

Kyler pick would push the defenders down to us. Take Murray!

  245. JimmyJack Says:

San Fran scares me. They might take Q and ruin my dream. A part of me might die in 20 minutes.

In other news if Boss slips to us I think the Bucs should pass cause I think he would be a awful fit.

  246. ATrain Says:

    This moderation sucks

  247. Jeffbuc Says:

Boom they took a qb we get one of the big four

  248. BucsBandit Says:

JimmyJack – my buddy is Q’s agent. I will post as soon as they know who is selecting them.

  249. Bird Says:

    Nice

  250. Pa Privateer Says:

    GOOD SO FAR!!!!!

  251. JimmyJack Says:

Thanks for the update Rod. You just made this experience better for me.

  252. Bucfan Says:

  253. MadMax Says:

    Yes! We needed that!

    Bosa going next….

  254. stpetebucsfan Says:

My wife just asked…”How many guys can wear a pink suit like that”? LMAO I said a Heisman Trophy winner and a #1 pick in the NFL draft. She replied…”Ya gotta be pretty confident to wear a pink suit like that.”

  255. Jeffbuc Says:

Bucs bandit damn your buddy is in the cardinals draft room. And your other buddy his q Williams agent with cash money.can I come sit in your suite for the 49rs game please

  256. LUVMYBUCS Says:

  258. JimmyJack Says:

I won’t believe you Bandir. The real truth lies inside my TV.

  259. Bucfan Says:

  260. DanBucsfan Says:

So bucbandit, your ” buddy” is gonna take time to let u know who is taking Q , Thats a good friend u got there. What did u save him in Vietnam or something? LMAO

  261. BucsBandit Says:

JimmyJack – my buddy is in the GREEN ROOM at the Draft. He’s Williams agent.

  262. JimmyJack Says:

Cardinals want to trade back into Round One badly now.

  263. ATrain Says:

Bucs are trading Winston and GMC and for Rosen

  264. catcard202 Says:

Prediction: AZ GM job will be open in 2021…& Kingsbury will be in LA, coaching USC.

  265. JimmyJack Says:

    Q is still there!!!!!

This is like a 4th Quarter lead!!!!

  266. ATrain Says:

    Come on Joe

ATRAIN needs to be moved out of moderation

  267. Jeffbuc Says:

Man it’s playing out so far just like every mock I have read. The next pick is the key pick. Oliver Williams or Allen. Or will they trade and let another qb come off the board.

  268. MadMax Says:

    yep, knew it

    Allen next!

  269. JimmyJack Says:

  275. Jeffbuc Says:

White Oliver Allen and Williams two of those guys will be there at least for us to chose from now

Are stars aligning??? Just need one more owner to get all wet in the pants…

  278. MadMax Says:

Have a feeling Raiders will take White…or maybe Q

  279. JimmyJack Says:

Holy S***……if Q is at 4 Licht had to sweet talk Grudog.

  280. DanBucsfan Says:

Man that BucsBandit stuff was the funniest comment of the night. God bless you kid. WINNING!

  281. Bucfan Says:

C’mon Jets trade out to a team hot for Haskins….

  282. JimmyJack Says:

Jets have always held the key pick for our Bucs sake.

  283. Jeffbuc Says:

I’m glad we didn’t get Bosa. It always seems little brothers or relatives of pro bowl players seem to be over drafted just because of what there family members did. I don’t see a number 2 overall pick when I watched Ohio state games. I think the mystique of a little brother of an all pro clouds the judgment

  284. BucsBandit Says:

If anyone wants to bet me $1,000 that my buddy is Quinnen’s agent I’m happy to take your action. Was just trying to give updates from the Green Room.

  285. Zwak Says:

  291. Wesley Says:

Bosa comes off as an a-hole.

  292. tnew Says:

    That sucks…

  293. BucsBandit Says:

I swear to God. Q to Jets (i wanted Bucs to get him too)

  294. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

So far as expected. Bet Gruden screws us.

  295. tnew Says:

That needed to be a trade

  296. JimmyJack Says:

Bandit I won’t believe any of you until after the Bucs. Til then I will hold my dreams.

  297. Tbbucs3 Says:

The great thing about your team sucking every year is you get to go to bed early after picking 5th on draft night.

    See Licht isn’t all bad….

  298. Wesley Says:

    Williams will be a bust.

  299. tnew Says:

Bucs now have a trade down opportunity.

  300. JimmyJack Says:

    Well……….Great pick Jets.

    Excuse me while I cry.

  301. MadMax Says:

    Crap!!!!!!!!

  302. DanBucsfan Says:

  303. #1bucsfan Says:

    White white white white

  304. Dewey Selmon Says:

Oliver or Allen will be there for us

  305. JameisAlmighty! Says:

Yes!!! Jets take the sucker bet with Quinnen Williams.

  306. Colonel_MP Says:

Oliver or Allen? White if graded the same because he would be the biggest position need today.

  307. BucsBandit Says:

Danbucsfan – my buddy is in the green room now. He told me Kyler was the pick 10 minutes before they even sent the card in (because the cameras were getting footage with him on the phone taking the call).

I am telling me to let me know as soon as any pick in the green room is on the phone celebrating so I can post here before the card is sent in with the pick.

  308. Rod Munch Says:

Is english a second language for Williams?

  309. SC Bucs Fan Says:

Anyone who wants a quarterback will have to trade for the Bucs pick. Good spot for us.

  310. Tbbucs3 Says:

    ALLEN!

  311. JimmyJack Says:

Q being gone was almost a certainty before tonight. I had just chosen not to listen.

  312. Jeagan1999 Says:

  316. JabooBuc Says:

    Nice Dr. Evil suit

  317. tnew Says:

Probably going to be Josh Allen

  318. Bucfan Says:

Great spot. Leaves White, Oliver, and Allen on the board.

  319. JameisAlmighty! Says:

    Bucs need to trade back

  320. DooshLaRue Says:

    Yeah man, Q … yeah man….. man

  321. Tbbucs3 Says:

To the trade down crowd? Why do you trust Jason Licht…let’s make it easier for him.

  322. BucsBandit Says:

(CROWD BEHIND ALLEN IN GREEN ROOM NOW)

  323. Ndog Says:

You got it Rod every year and it’s money that it will happen again tonight.

  324. BucsBandit Says:

Allen must be the pick for the Raiders.

  325. Jeffbuc Says:

I believe you bandit that’s why I’m saying have your buddy get us a suite for the 49rs game that should be easy for him. Plus if he is texting you updates of all the people in the world. You must be good friends. So go ahead set up the suite and invite me and my wife for week one

  326. Tbbucs3 Says:

If the Raiders get Allen this draft is way too predictable

  327. ARGH_M8E Says:

    Allen or Oliver, we can’t miss… RIGHT???😳

  328. Jeffbuc Says:

  355. tnew Says:

Not sure there is a trade that will allow the Bucs to move off of Josh Allen.

  356. BucsBandit Says:

Haha he said cameramen had to RUN to Ferrell as no one expected it.

  357. JameisAlmighty! Says:

    Don’t TRADE back! Josh Allen!

  358. Buc4evr Says:

Hopefully Jason will get Allen and not screw this up

Ive been supportive of the Devin White pick… I’m off that. Needs to be Allen.

  364. DooshLaRue Says:

    Chunky Genius!

  365. Wesley Says:

    Better be Allen!

  366. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

    Gotta take Josh Allen!!!!

  367. ATrain Says:

Oakland could have got him with their 2nd pick this round

    Wow Gruden.

  368. JameisAlmighty! Says:

Fireeeee Licht if it’s not Allen

  369. Rod Munch Says:

AND commercial break with the Bucs on the clock… as much of a year tradition as Christmas or Thanksgiving!

  370. Tbbucs3 Says:

    JOSH

    ALLEN!!!

  371. cmurda Says:

Don’t eff this up Bucs. Josh effing Allen right now

  372. SteveK Says:

Ed Oliver or trade down for multiple firsts.

  373. Jeagan1999 Says:

Bucs phone is ringing off the hook. Maybe a trade back with Giants and pick up an extra 2?

  374. ARGH_M8E Says:

    ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEN!!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  375. Easy Says:

Please don’t screw this up Licht. Draft Oliver or Allen

  377. Sweeptheleg Says:

    Yes? Someone say my name?

  378. Ndog Says:

  379. Bird Says:

    Mike mayock has zero power

They could have gotten Ferrell with later pick

  380. Anonymous Says:

Trade back. Stay in the top 8!

  381. tnew Says:

Only trade back I would consider is with the Giants, playing it off as if you don’t take this pick, we are going to trade to another QB needy team/

  382. rrsrq Says:

Wow, Gruden/Mayock with the surprise move, to make the Bucs have to make a decision. I still want White though. There will be edge rushers in the 2nd round

  383. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Gotta get off the field on 3rd downs….Allen….

  384. Rod Munch Says:

So why are people excited about Allen? I’ve watched no tape on the kid but his numbers say he’s a classic tweener that cleans up in college stats and can’t do anything in the NFL.

Again, I haven’t watched tape so I don’t know why he’s special, but his numbers say he’s a trap player.

  385. Jeffbuc Says:

We get our choice of Allen or Oliver if we mess this up. I never thought Allen would fall to us but here we are. Licht all you need to do is not take a phone call do not do anything but have someone walk Allen’s card up to the podium as fast as you can. This should be the easiest pick you have ever made or will ever make

  386. Pa Privateer Says:

Take offers for a trade, but I am fine with taking Allen right here

  387. Tbbucs3 Says:

If Licht selects 2 DTs in arrow in the 1st round he’s a bum. He already is but even more so.

There are other positions to help win games folks, the Bucs need em.

Oliver should not be the pick.

  388. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Trade down two spots. Thdre are 4 great players to choose from! But I do wantAllen.

  389. Jeff Says:

Do not TRADE you idiots! Josh Allen all the way!

  390. Anonymous Says:

Allen, White, Oliver or trade down. Wow Raiders, thanks! Personally, I would love a trade down. Allen scares me. I love White.

  391. Bucfan Says:

    Rod Munch yep. No respect.

  392. BucsBandit Says:

    WHITE ON PHONE NOW

  393. SteveK Says:

    Rod,

You are spot on about the commercial break. It’s because we suck ass and have been as irrelevant as Cleveland

  394. Jeffbuc Says:

Munch we are not a 4-3 anymore tweeners mean they are 3-4. He is just what this new defense needs. He is 6-5 260 come on now.

  395. Anonymous Says:

    Josh Allen time!!!

  396. Doctor Stroud Says:

Only WDAE goes to commercial while the Bucs are on the clock! How much more disrespect can this team endure?

  397. Bird Says:

    Going full time?

  398. Bucfan Says:

Allen. Run to the podium NOW!

  399. K_bassuka Says:

  406. GoBuxFla Says:

OMG, are the Raiders being roasted. Please, take the next JPP.

  407. Jeffbuc Says:

  408. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Long as they don’t pull a gruden, I’m happy.

  409. DooshLaRue Says:

  425. Bird Says:

    Wow

Gonna be some pissed off people here

  426. Rod Munch Says:

I like the pick – safe, don’t have to wait 2 years to find out if you got a player or not. If White is as good as they say, if he’s a day one starter and a pro-bowler, it’s a no brainer.

  427. cmurda Says:

Stupid. Stupid stupid. You suck nuts Licht

  428. The Real Drew Says:

  449. Wesley Says:

    DANIEL JONES FAMILY CHEERING

  452. Pete I Says:

    Joe now has America’s linebacker…

  453. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

There were 4 guys I liked, and he was one of them. I’m pleased.

I’ll really miss Kwon but this guy is elite.

  454. Rod Munch Says:

In 1990 the Bucs took pass rusher Keith McCants at #4 over inside LB Jean Seau at #5.

Everyone said Seau was a star, would play from day one, would be a stud – but I guess his “value” wasn’t good enough, so the Bucs took a 50/50 shot on a defensive lineman.

  455. Easy Says:

  458. bucs4ya Says:

He does look like an NFL player. I’m good with the pick.

  460. JameisAlmighty! Says:

Wrong Devin. How does Licht continue to scout only one team. Enough with the LSU linebackers. Trade back and u could’ve gotten White. The is a fire Licht moment. The nail in the coffin.

    Terrible pick.

Joe why did you delete the fake news you posted about the bucs drafting josh Allen lmao … you thought up and down the bucs would take Allen … sorry I caught you ha ha ha

  475. Jeffbuc Says:

Apologies to everyone on this site that I said no way we would draft him I was wrong you were right. He is a buc now so I am a fan of him but not the pick. Josh Allen fell into are lap. But if he has fell this far that tells me something about him won’t translate. Once again I was wrong and me and joe are on are way to skyway bridge if anyone cares

  476. SteveK Says:

This is why we suck donkey balls and finish last. No trench depth.

White is going to be a fine player, but how can you pass on Ed Oliver who would be a monster next to Vea? A MLB at 5?

    Where’s the pass rush. 😢

  477. catcard202 Says:

Would rather trade down, than take White over Allen.

  478. Anonymous Says:

  484. Doctor Stroud Says:

I would have preferred that the Bucs draft Josh Allen. Still, anyone who wins the Butkus Award gets my respect, and I will cheer him on!

  485. tnew Says:

I don’t mind this pick at all. Very gutsy pick. Safe and easy would’ve been Allen.

  486. SteveK Says:

No apologies here. A MLB has not been drafted that high.

And if Dom didn’t pass on Keuchly (twice) for Baron, then this moment might not happen. It stings again.

  487. JameisAlmighty! Says:

I officially despise Jason Licht as a human being.

  488. King C Says:

We drafted Devin White out of need I guess
I really hope he is an impactful LB
But this pick was only necessary because we neglected drafting LB in drafts past.
We overdrafted at WR/TE in years past and underdrafted at LB
I really wonder about passing on Josh Allen

  489. Richie Says:

    Blew it

  490. rrsrq Says:

i have faith that we will trade back in to the first for either Sweat, Ferguson, Burns or Gary

  493. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

  494. The Real Drew Says:

  502. BucsBandit Says:

Anyone still not believe me now? 🙂

  503. Arian Nation Says:

They could have dropped back with the Broncos at #10 and still got White. Stupid!!

All in all, White is not a bad consolation prize.

  504. Bird Says:

Bowles was the one who put Josh Allen thru drills at pro day

Must not have been that impressed . Must have seen something

  505. SteveK Says:

    1. Oliver
    2. Allen
    3. white.

    1. Disruptive, freaky DT- with a little edge to him like ASAP
    2. Allen- compared to Jason Taylor
    3. White- the best LB in the draft, but a MLB.

  506. EA Says:

Giants just picked Eli Manning jr

  507. Rod Munch Says:

I didn’t scout anyone, but based on what I read I love the pick. It’s the only pick that made sense. Allen’s measurables make him look like a tweener to me, seen dozens of these guys with his production and size that have been top picks who have flopped. If you’re moving to a 3-4 then Oliver makes no sense since you already have Vita in the middle.

White, assuming he’s what people claim he is, makes total sense and is the safe pick, the one that makes sense, and we get a starter this year, not someone that might start in 2 years.

  508. BucsBandit Says:

JOSH ALLEN NOW WITH BIG CROWD IN GREEN ROOM

  509. LUVMYBUCS Says:

The Chargers took Junior because he was in all world beast at OLB

  510. BucsBandit Says:

    JOSH ALLEN ON THE PHONE

  511. tnew Says:

Go on youtube and check out Brett Kollman’s take on Devin White. Honestly, my biggest concern is he will want to be the highest paid LB after year 5. White very well may have more sacks this season vs Allen. He may be the best blitzing interior lb in the league now.

  512. Defense Rules Says:

With Quinnen Williams off the board, Devin White was a no-brainer. Bucs now have a leader on defense. Now with the #39 pick grab the best DLineman/OLB available … Jaylon Ferguson would be an especially nice pick.

  513. SteveK Says:

    LIVMYBUCS,

Thank you, sir, exactly! D linemen are vital. Oliver was there for the taking. When he turns into the next best DT, I’m going to be so pissed off.

White looks like a solid pick, but does he sack the QB?

    Damn.

  514. JimmyJack Says:

This is now Devin Whites defense. Leadership was a huge part of this decision I bet

  515. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The White pick was the smart pick. He was the best MLB in the draft…miles better than the others.

But there are plenty of DL to choose from.

Set aside personal desires. It was the smart pick.

  516. rrsrq Says:

Licht, Arians and Bowles need Spence to show up, that was a big show of confidence in Shaq, Spence and Nassib. I do believe this was the pick for Bowles defense. No good to almost get to the QB and the ball gets dropped off to Kamara and McCaffrey (White got this)

  517. JameisAlmighty! Says:

    Bucs Bandit. Stop snitching

  518. James Walker Says:

Looks like an upgrade over Kwon, which is not an easy thing to say.

  519. LUVMYBUCS Says:

The fact that he was a local kid didn’t hurt either. Especially with San Diego’s rather large Polynesian/pacific islander population

  520. JimmyJack Says:

Monumental expections on White. It’s about time we get some goddam expectations on this freaking team.

  521. JameisAlmighty! Says:

Josh allen to the Jacksonville Butts. What a lucky situation. Fire Jason Licht!

  522. Scorpioedt@gmail.com Says:

    . … why

  523. DBS Says:

    #813KNOWSNOTHING….#KRISWASN’TTHEPICK …#OLIVEWASN’TTHEPICK!!!!

  524. Bird Says:

Devin white next to Lavonte in a 3-4 . Balling !

They can take turns blitzing QB up the middle. QBs won’t know who is coming late . Speed speed speed

  525. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    SteveK Says
“White looks like a solid pick, but does he sack the QB?”

Actually, yes. He will. He’s a blitzer. Bowles blitzes a lot.

  526. Sweet Lou Says:

Best player picked. Josh Allen is undersized, go bucs

  527. BucsBandit Says:

    JAX GOES TE

  528. Jim Says:

So long Lee, we hardly knew ye…

  529. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Gotta go DL in Round 2 if at all possible. Still need a RB and still need an OG. Those have to be the top 4 picks, unless Bud Light and BA can figure a way to trade down and acquire a few more.

  530. Dewey Selmon Says:

Can’t step up in the pocket when the pressure is coming straight at you.

  531. tnew Says:

I would love the Bucs to get back in and figure out how to get to Brian Burns

  532. BucsBandit Says:

    Correction, JAGS draft TE (TJ)

  533. DanBucsfan Says:

They got the guy I been hoping for. D. White is gonna be our new leader on defense.

  534. stpetebucsfan Says:

So for the Allen supporters…what’s your over and under on the difference in the amount of sacks and QB hits between Allen and White?

The rush is not restricted to DE’s or outside LB’s. Again LVD had seven sacks the year we gave him a chance, how many came off the edge and how many came from shooting gaps? Do we think Bowles will give White a chance to use that 4.4 speed to get the QB?

  535. BucsBandit Says:

    LIONS i meant .. ugh

  536. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Jags just picked the next Donte Fowler!

  537. JimmyJack Says:

Giants took a QB so you know Licht got phone calls for a trade.

The Bucs turned down any trades for White. They see greatness in White. Can’t wait to see it myself at RayJay!!!

    GO BUCS!!!

  538. BucsBandit Says:

JimmyJack – let’s hope White turns out to be the next Mack.

BTW, told you I had an insider at the draft. 🙂

  539. SC Bucs Fan Says:

Bandit you are less accurate then most mock drafts

  540. catcard202 Says:

    White would have been there at 10 / 11 / 13 / 15…

  541. BucsBandit Says:

SC – I haven’t missed yet. I’m reporting the picks before they happen on TV.

  542. SkBucssfan Says:

    Jags just won the draft

  543. BucsBandit Says:

SC – * I did post that a crowd was behind Allen earlier because a bunch of cameras swarmed him in green room. But never said he was on the phone. Just repeating what was texted to me. I thought he was going to be the pick but it turned out the cameras were thinking it was and he hadn’t gotten a phone call or anything.

  544. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

Love the d white pick and will be a fan favorite and team leader but a REAL leader, not horsing around!! great pick

  545. BucsBandit Says:

SC – I reported the Daniel Jones pick 10 minutes before any broadcast (scroll up and look at timestamp).

  546. tnew Says:

Finding a way back into the first would be huge depending on how far guys drop. There are so many good D Lineman still on the board.

  547. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Gotta wonder if make a move for Leonard Williams (jets)

  548. ElBajito43 Says:

BucsBandit your really not cool brah. Seriously 😒 Quiennen agent is not a dude is a FEMALE named NICOLE so anyway just wanted to support everyone on here who doesn’t like your self esteem boosting on Joe Bucs Draft thread 🧵 get a life and therapy

  549. stpetebucsfan Says:

So a TE in the top ten? So much for positional value this guy is the first in twenty years. Do we suppose this guy is better than OJ? His video looks good that’ for sure. Like OJ he can catch AND block.

  550. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Gotta wonder If we’re making a move for Leonard Williams

  551. BucsBandit Says:

    ED OLIVER TO THE BILLS

  552. GoBuxFla Says:

    Again, bleh.

  553. King C Says:

    On Second thought..
I’m looking at the track record for Dick Butkus top LB award winners,
guys like Kuechly, Roquan Smith Reuben Foster, Von Miller even Jaylon Smith have been Awesome.
Given that, maybe it’s better to get a guaranteed impact starter in Devin White rather than risk a miss.

  554. BucsBandit Says:

ElBajito – hahahahaha NONSENSE. Williams is represented by Young Money agency. My buddy is one of their agents (and owners).

  555. NOSBOS Says:

Welcome to Tampa Mr. White. All y’all can eat ya f$&@i. hearts out.

  556. catcard202 Says:

Who you thinks has better career???

    2019 NFL Draft #7 pick…Josh Allen

  557. BucsBandit Says:

ElBajito – my buddy (one of Q’s agents) is in the Green Room right now and texting me what’s happening.

  558. Jeagan1999 Says:

I remember when we drafted another linebacker in the first round named Derrick Brooks, and he helped turn this team into a winner!

Let’s hope this pick turns out like that one did!

  559. stpetebucsfan Says:

So why are both Sweat and Oliver still on the board? There are some good DL’s being pushed down the board and there should be good OL’s available as well.

There goes Oliver…surprised to see him last this long.

  560. BucsBandit Says:

Elbajito – Nicole is on the team but not his only agent (they’re a big agency)

  561. JabooBuc Says:

draft is deep in DLine talent this year. Not so much at LB. White is elite both as a player and leader. They go DL or OL in Round 2.

  562. unbelievable Says:

Shocking. This organization makes another awful decision.

    Fkn Bucs life.

  563. NOSBOS Says:

I’m so freakin glad Allen and ol Ed were both still on the board. Now let me get on home from work so I can pop bottle.

  564. rrsrq Says:

Just watched the Licht press conference…

  565. richbucsfan Says:

NOSBOS what kind of statement is that? We want White to succeed. Sheesh

  566. Dirty Bucs Says:

All of you guys talking about White would have been there later need to understand you have to have a trade partner. If nobody was offering a trade worth taking, then you make the pick on your board.

  573. SC Bucs Fan Says:

I wish we had picked Bush just because of that “suit”

  574. JimmyJack Says:

The Bucs were never trading away D.White.

They would never make that trade unless it was an insane deal with at least 3 1st round picks coming back.

In reality D.White was probably the #1 or 2 player on the Bucs Big Board.

You got a Top 5 pick you go get a great prospect. Trading away greatness is not a option. It’s a word obsession for fans

  575. JameisAlmighty! Says:

Bucs Bandit is worse than Jason Licht

  576. catcard202 Says:

CIN should go LT Dillard here…But will they…

  577. Jeffbuc Says:

Buc bandit we don’t need updates that are not seen on tv. Your being the guy who already watched the movie and won’t shut up and keeps saying oh watch this this is a good part. Oh you won’t believe who dies here. Stay off your phone and enjoy the moment. And leave this forem to the guys sitting at home please

  578. BucsBandit Says:

JameisAlmighty – many here like SC, ElBajito, etc. still don’t believe I have any sort of insider info so just assume I’m getting lucky and guessing. 🙂

  579. rrsrq Says:

C’mon Bucs fans, let’s get on board. The draft is still young. With Daniel Jones and Clemons’s Ferrel going early, that means some others edge rushers could drop,to the Bucs. I will say it again, don’t sleep on Joe Jackson from the U or that Chase or Gary from Michigan

  580. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

White wasnt’ going to last past about 8. Jeez, Steelers just traded up to get Bush at 10.

  581. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    SteveK

We LUV our Squad. So let’s hope for best brotha.

    Wow

  582. BucsBandit Says:

JEFFBUC – nah, according to SC and ElBajito I’m lying and don’t have any info. So maybe I’m just guessing.

  583. catcard202 Says:

    J. Williams is a LT technician, but moves like a G.

  584. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Enjoy yourself NOS lol

  585. JimmyJack Says:

Burns and Wilkens were two players a lot of Tampa fans liked.

Both are still available. Never say never……Plus I just saw D.Bush get picked.

Licht loves that choice because he already got his LB

  586. SC Bucs Fan Says:

Bandit I don’t care I wish you just shut up you are like a guy telling us how a movie ends thinking it impresses us. You have a friend. Kudos because you aren’t making any here tonight.

  587. BucsBandit Says:

SC – You called me a LIAR, dude. You owe me an apology.

  588. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Daniel Jeremiah 2020? Yes/No

  589. SC Bucs Fan Says:

i apologize. Now stop ruining the board.

  590. SC Bucs Fan Says:

    Please

  591. JimmyJack Says:

LOL …..Bengals fans are so disappointed……Best moment of the draft right there seeing those sad fans.

  592. BucsBandit Says:

**** BUCS HAVE TRADED WITH PACKERS AND WILL SELECT DWAYNE HASKINS, QB OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY.

  593. BucsBandit Says:

    I’m joking. 🙂

  594. JimmyJack Says:

    Sweat is still available

  595. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

In BucsBandit’s defense, no one believed he had an inside guy, and he took flak because of it.

Now those people get to eat crow.

I don’t really care either way. It’s not like the same thing doesn’t happen on twitter.

  596. BucsBandit Says:

    Thanks, Bonzai. 🙂

  597. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Gary the crybaby!

  598. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Everyone needs to see the upside.

At least you are not Raiders fans. Gruden is….still Gruden.

  599. Rod Munch Says:

Gary looked ridiculous crying like that, I guess he looked at Rodgers age and realized he’s going to be stuck in a frozen TV dinner of a town for the next half-decade.

  600. BucsBandit Says:

    Wilkins from Clemson on phone

  601. Rod Munch Says:

Could Greedy Williams fall to the 2nd round, or late enough for the Bucs to trade up to get him in the 1st? Again, I didn’t really scout anyone or anything, but based on hype I thought Greedy was a surefire top 10-15 guy – and on the EPSN board he’s 18th best out of what’s left. If he’s a day one starter, and a #1 corner, what a pickup it would be for the Bucs to walk away from the draft with two legit starters at need positions.

  602. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Why is JEFFERY SIMMONS falling? He’s ranked as the best DT in the draft?

  603. Pa Privateer Says:

It is still early, but there could be some nice DL waiting to be picked tomorrow in the second round.

  604. BamaBuc Says:

Well now I’m just a pissed off bucs fan I guess.

  605. SC Bucs Fan Says:

Bonzai video of Simmons hitting a woman and ACL surgery makes him a risky early pick

  606. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    @SC Bucs Fan

Ah. So a good chance he could fall to the second?

    Or third?

  607. Jeffbuc Says:

Anyone on here at draft wearing gray old school
    Bucco Bruce t shirt.

  608. Jeffbuc Says:

Man can the second round be tonight. Or can the the patriots trade there 1st round pick to us for are second round and Gerald

  609. Jeffbuc Says:

Man this is crazy to be this deep in a draft and not see a non qb skilled offensive player off the board.

  610. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    There goes Burns.

  611. JameisAlmighty! Says:

The Panthers got Brian Burns. Best value in the draft. The stinking panthers get it. Another typical A+ for the stinking Panthers.

  612. MadMax Says:

Simmons will need time to recover from acl injury??? i think, it was a knee or something, and he has an off field issue that even had me not wanting him until i dug a little more. Turns out the woman he hit had just attacked a family member of his and he lost it a little….understandable to an extent….think he was 17 or 18 when it happened.

Anyways, if we keep GMC one more year and Simmons is still there in the 2nd when we pick, that gives him time to heal and he can slowly get into GMC’s role replacement.

  613. TheDood Says:

Yeah Gary’s life sucks. I’d hate being a millionaire paid to play football…. Dood.

  614. Jeffbuc Says:

Calm down FSU fans. He looked like a cornerback walking up on stage. He is really skinny he will take a couple years to see if he can develop muscle or not. He wo t have more than 3 sacks next year. He to me has the highest bust potential of any defensive end in the draft. Because it all depends if he can gain weight. He weighs the same as our new middle linebacker and he is 4 inches taller.

  615. Jeffbuc Says:

This is a big pick you traded Odell for this person

  616. Cgmaster27 Says:

Jeffbuc I dont see one fsu fan complaining about the pick. Worry about your own school.

  617. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Jeffery Simmons to Tenn.?

  618. BucsBandit Says:

    IOWA TE, Luv

  619. BucsBandit Says:

Check that. (Simmons just went, you were right). Iowa TE going to Denver (his group screaming in Green Room).

  620. MadMax Says:

    Oh well Luv, Simmons gone….

  621. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    MadMax

Freakin’ Jon Robinson does it again

  622. MadMax Says:

Big Daylon Mack (Mack Truck) might be there in the bottom 2nd top 3rd tho….

  623. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    True, but a nose though.

  624. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Seriously there has to be a trade for veteran DL prospect at play here.
Or none of this makes any goT* damn sense.

  625. MadMax Says:

Yeah but a great bu for V….insurance if V gets hurt again too

  626. Jackwagon Says:

Who…was THE GUY…who said that both Lindstrom AND Bradbury would easily be gone…in the FIRST round?!?!! When so many of you opined foolishly thinking Lindstrom would somehow get to the second round?!?

    THIS…guy. Me. I did.

    Peace…

  627. MadMax Says:

If Sweat is still there when we pick in the 2nd, we better take him tho

  628. LUVMYBUCS Says:

I see some good DE/OLB’s still on the board.
    A solid same or two.
    Tillery Maybe?

  629. MadMax Says:

Yeah I knew Bradbury was going early, figured Lindstrom would too but he went earlier than i thought….

  630. LUVMYBUCS Says:

I see some good DE/OLB’s prospects still on the board.
    A solid SAM or two.

  631. MadMax Says:

Imagine tho, White, Sweat, Mack!!! That would be great for our D….or even Greedy if Sweat is gone…OR Jenkins….we’ll cover some trenches

  632. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Could be makings of something solid.

  633. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Yeah, gotta be pulling for Elgton Jenkins bigtime now.

  634. LUVMYBUCS Says:

What do think of the Raiders pick?

  635. rrsrq Says:

Let’s not forget Polite will fall to the 2nd or 3rd. Still hoping Jaylen Ferguson is there for our next pick, either way, we should still get a good pick

  636. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    rrsrq

    Got my fingers crossed brotha

  637. LUVMYBUCS Says:

I know Ira must be pissy drunk by now lol

  638. BucsBandit Says:

    JACOBS TO RAIDERS?

  639. MadMax Says:

Gruden doing Gruden….with “DA RADA’S” tho LOL….i was lmao at that one.

  640. Rod Munch Says:

Humm… two Gruden picks in the 1st.

  641. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Man, Bucs fans already out of here? Lol.

This place has become a graveyard!

  642. Rod Munch Says:

It’s truly amazing how many guys came out of Tampa and went into broadcast. Who are the future broadcasters on this team? Probably McCoy and Winston, those would be my two picks.

  643. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Rod, he’s got another pick coming too.

That’s a lot on money going out in 5 years, lol.

  644. Doctor Stroud Says:

Gru selected a RB! Drug Martin is coming back to Tampa, baby!

  645. Rod Munch Says:

Sweat and Greedy are still there – the Bucs should be seeing if they can use a 4th to get back into the late 1st.

  646. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Rod, my money is on Nassib.

  647. Rod Munch Says:

Stroud – I said that, the Bucs should bring back Martin. He’s the best guy out there and proved last year that the issue wasn’t him, he performed well in Oakland. Additionally it would make Joe go nuts. I like Joe but he had an irrational hatred of Martin.

  648. Doctor Stroud Says:

Montez Sweat to the Bucs if he lasts into the 2nd round. But it’s Licht after all…

  649. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Bully has a face for radio too. Lol

  650. Doctor Stroud Says:

Mr. Munch…I don’t agree with you on a lot of things, but we can agree on Martin.

  651. Rod Munch Says:

Bonzai – I haven’t heard Nassib really talk – also not sure I’d consider him a Tampa guy at this point. Hopefully he’s good enough to deserve a new contract, then he’d be a Tampa guy down the road. Would be a great pickup by Licht if that works out.

  652. tnew Says:

Ok.. so now there needs to be a serious discussion for a move up.

  653. Rod Munch Says:

Stroud – What’s not to agree with, I’m a very agreeable person.

  654. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Rod Munch, question…

…if we need a 3rd down back, why not bring Blount back on a one year deal?

  655. Rod Munch Says:

What’s with all the crybabies on TV tonight?

  656. Rod Munch Says:

Bonzai – I don’t really see Blount as a 3rd down back, if we just want a 3rd down guy I’d certainly bring Sims back in and see if he’s healthy or not. He’s one of the best pass catching RB’s in the NFL and a good blocker, not sure why he’s on the outs unless he’s more injured than I thought he was.

  657. tnew Says:

    That was a mistake

  658. tnew Says:

opportunity to get Sweat with two seconds..

  659. Rod Munch Says:

What did the Redskins give up?

  660. Wesley Says:

    Sweat looks like a psycho.

  661. MadMax Says:

Sweat to Redskins 🙁 was hoping we could get him….oh well, Polite still there….Winovich late 2nd/early 3rd

  662. Rod Munch Says:

Wait, wow, all the Redskins gave up was 46th overall and a 2nd next year to move to 26? Wow… That’s not a lot – it would equal the Bucs 2nd and 3rd next year for a guy people said the Bucs might take at #5. Man…

  663. MadMax Says:

Bonzai, i think a lot have tuned out because of joe’s negativity to White….ive even backed off a lot recently because of it.

  664. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

This suggestion might seem out of the blue…

    SUTTON SMITH DE
Switch to edge rusher. Dude is a beast. 14 and 15 sacks the last two years.

  665. SteveK Says:

Wonder if we trade up for Taylor?

  666. NOSBOS Says:

Rich you clearly haven’t been following this site much. My statement about being glad Ed and Allen we’re both still on the board was sarcasm because I’ve been debating fellow Bucs fans on here for weeks about our pick. Trust me bro I’m the Team Captain when it came to wanting Devin bro. Ask around.

  667. tnew Says:

Wonder who will take a chance with Metcalf…. His short area lack of speed must really scare teams.

  668. Rod Munch Says:

The Bucs literally don’t have a #1 corner, and the top corner in this draft is still on the board. If you can get the top corner for your #2 and #4, that’s something I’m doing. The Bucs are fine for next year on the DL, they HAVE to have a #1 corner or the defense is sunk again next year.

  669. tnew Says:

Greedy covers well but doesn’t like to tackle.

  670. tnew Says:

I like trying to get back to Taylor. At this point I see huge value for his skillset.

  671. Rod Munch Says:

I will give Nashville a ton of credit for the visual of this draft, it looks fantastic on TV – and that turnout is with it raining.

  672. Rod Munch Says:

tnew – Deion didn’t tackle either, not to say he’s Deion, but I want a corner that can cover. Ryan Smith is good at tackling guys once they run past him in coverage. Anywho the kid out of Washington is actually rated higher on most boards I see, and he’s still there, that’s who I was thinking about – but I’d be fine with either, with the huge asterisk that I haven’t paid much attention to this draft before tonight.

  673. tnew Says:

Deion ran a sub 4.2 and seemingly scored a td every other game. If you don’t tackle as a CB, you must, must, must be a world class cover guy. I’m not for trading up for him. If he’s there at the second round pick, ok tho.. As far as Murphy.. another 4.55 CB that is 5’10”.. I think we have that body type covered.

  674. Rod Munch Says:

Tnew – Well as I said I don’t think he’s Deion, but the Bucs need a corner, they didn’t get one in FA and I can’t imagine you rest your season on the healthy of VH3 at this point – so you have to get someone.

  675. tnew Says:

    Atlanta moved back in

  676. tnew Says:

Rod.. my thoughts are the corners are better than we have seen based on the scheme they were forced to play.

  677. Rod Munch Says:

tnew – I’m not betting my season on it. Ryan Smith is literally the worst corner I’ve ever seen, Davis looked solid but isn’t what I’d call a #1, VH3 still might be productive, but again do you beat your season on his health? Stewart was obviously moved to safety.

That’s as bad of a depth chart as you can possibly have in a division that is pass heavy.

  678. BucsBandit Says:

BUCS SELECT GREEDY WILLIAMS IN 2ND ROUND

  679. tnew Says:

Understand your point.. I’m not quite as harsh regarding Smith.

  680. tnew Says:

Wouldn’t mind Greedy at RD2 pick.

  681. tnew Says:

Just didn’t want to jump back in for him.

  682. tnew Says:

Good player there for the Patriots at that pick.

  683. Rod Munch Says:

Based on value, again I haven’t watched anything so I don’t know how good these kids are, but based on a guy who was supposed to be a top 15 guy in the 2nd round, that would be impressive. Then again if he slips that far, it’s generally for a reason, so who knows.

  684. BucsBandit Says:

WITH THE 39TH PICK IN THE 2019 NFL DRAFT, THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS SELECT…

WILL GRIER, QB, UNIVERSITY OF WEST VIRGINIA.

  685. tnew Says:

I’m ready to draft Greedy now. Like I said, just didn’t want to give up more for him. I watched him early when he was projecting in the top 5 and really closed the book on him. I love his physical traits, he just mailed it in for the bowl game (huge character issue, don’t play if you aren’t going to compete) and he gets lazy, looks disinterested and will give up big plays or gets grabby even tho he doesn’t need to.

But, he’s 6’2, long arms and runs sub 4.4.

  686. BucsBandit Says:

Jawaan Taylor (OT) would be awesome in the 2nd but he won’t last until the 7th pick of the 2nd Round.

  687. Austin Eckert Says:

I love the White pick. We can get a sud CB or Ol in the second round . Then draft DE with the third round pick. Solid draft so far for us and the cards are playing to our needs

  688. Cobraboy Says:

Round 2: Cody Ford, Dalton Risner.

If they are gone, Jaylon Ferguson.

  689. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Jawaan Taylor, Cody Ford, Greedy Williams, Byron Murphy, or Dalton Risner.

In that order is how I’d make my next pick. If we get one of those guys I’m stoked.

  690. Bucsfaninchina Says:

Boohoo Joe’s we got a game changer not unlike Johnny football

  691. Bucsfaninchina Says:

Joe’s still butthurt over jonhhy football

  692. NOSBOS Says:

F$&@ how Joe feel and any other lame that don’t like it. Check that poll out and see how majority of fans feel.

  693. Walter Says:

This team is a dumpster fire

  694. Easy Says:

Please draft CODY FORD!!! RG will be solidified

  695. JabooBuc Says:

Good source inside LSU told me Beckwith would be a good pick and Devin White would be a great pick. Same source said don’t bother with Greedy. This is someone within the program so I vote no on Greedy.

  696. JabooBuc Says:

Lot of talent left on the board. Would like to see them acquire some picks. I’d rather have the Dean kid out of Auburn at CB than Greedy.

  697. Bruce Blahak Says:

    GRIER in the 2nd!!!!

  698. wideleftandright Says:

Heres what causes my angst.Stupid drafting,Not filling real needs. An all time .386 winning pct.And watching Atlanta,New Orleans and the stinking Panthers knock it out in the draft.
Jason Licht era .413 and still has a job!!!WTF!!!
Falling on deaf ears Grier in the 4th round

  699. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Alright. Just over an hour away. Gotta have 2 of these 4:
    Defensive Line
    Defensive Back
    Running Back
    Offensive Line

  700. Easy Says:

    CODY FORD or CHARLES OMENIHU

  701. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

    Round 2 and 3 thread

  702. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Cody Ford will be Loooooog Goooone….if he he there there is something wrong with him…

WITH THE 39TH PICK IN THE 2019 NFL DRAFT, THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS SELECT…

WILL GRIER, QB, UNIVERSITY OF WEST VIRGINIA.

    Keep dreaming little buddy.

  704. catcard202 Says:

KSU OL D.Risner would be my preference in the 2nd… I could see that guy anchoring the R side for the next decade. He’s going to end-up being a Pro’s Pro, when it’s all said & done!

  705. Jackwagon Says:

    Cody Ford…if not Dalton Risner.

Then David Montgomery, if not Miles Sanders, in that order.

Lonnie Johnson, if not Oruwariye outta PSU.

Jaylon Ferguson is gonna be a bust. Yup.

  706. TB22 Says:

13 DL were drafted in Round 1. Those teams knew they couldn’t wait til round 2.

The only viable DL candidates in Round 2 would be Ferguson from LA Tech ,the Polite kid from UF, or Winovich from Michigan.

In other words, slim pickings. The Bucs yucked up another 1st rd pick.

I think the Bucks will go either OL or DB with this 2nd round pick.
I would be happy with either position.

Lots of good CB’s and OL left to make a great 2nd round pick. DL….not so much.

  707. Rod Munch Says:

Right now the Bucs corner depth chart is…

    #1 ??????
    #2 Davis
    #3 VH3
    #4 ??????
    #5 ??????

That’s not a good depth chart.

…and if Ryan Smith isn’t off the team, or relegated to special teams, if they’re counting on him then the Bucs are doomed to another #28 or worse defense.

  708. TB22 Says:

Forgot to add…I expect there will be a huge run on CB’s in the 2nd round.
Many teams with CB needs will address those needs in round 2.

So the Bucs better take one in round 2 if they plan on getting a quality one.

  709. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Ok, the more I think about it, the more I think CB. We’ll get a good one with the 7th pick this round. Several on the board. What the hell, there was talk long ago about the Bucs taking Greedy at 5 and he’s still on the board.

  710. Kobe Faker Says:

“Couldn’t we start a new thread?

My Obamo phone cant handle these long post threads

We probably really only have 10 posters with alot of aliases, family members and 1 convict prisoner

Kobe has heard he is starting his own group called “Stick up the A” Carriers”

    Shaman Kobe Faker

  711. Tut Says:

I call CB in 2nd… Maybe Greddy Williams and we bring in a LSU reunion

  712. BucsBandit Says:

@NDOG – you get so butthurt if someone criticizes your idol, Jameis Lanaed Winston.

I bet you have Jameis posters all over your bedroom walls and even own a Jameis doll.

Face the facts, bro… Winston’s time in Tampa is coming to an end.

  713. BucsBandit Says:

TUT – I think there’s a good chance they go corner but it will probably be Byron Murphy or Rock Ya-Sin before Greedy Williams who is a big risk that they can’t afford.

  714. BucsBandit Says:

TB22 – my prediction is there’s a big run on O-LINE in the 2nd round. So the Bucs will be faced with that decision too.

  715. JabooBuc Says:

Hoping to trade down and add at least one extra pick tonight. CB, G and OLB pass rusher or Safety. I’d rather have Dean over Greedy.

  716. Bird Says:

    Great players available

Jawaan Taylor , Cody Ford, Risner

Greedy Williams , Byron Murphy. Rock yah “mama “ sin

    DE Ferguson.

    A few quality safeties

    ——-

We should draft and move up to get 2 of these guys.

  717. catcard202 Says:

I’ve mocked the hell out of Delaware FS Nasir Adderley in the 2nd…but never imagined there’d be the this much OL & CB talent fall out of the 1st.

  718. Joeypoppems Says:

Ben Allbright just said he doesnt expect Greedy Williams to be drafted in round 2. Citing the tackling issue and Greedy not going on team visits so teams dont know him.

If Bucs go CB in round 2 my money is on Rock Ya-Sin out of Temple

  719. Doctor_berto Says:

Cody ford or jawaan if possible

  720. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Love Bird. Like all those guys. Time to make a good decision in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. We’ve been getting smacked with stupid decisions in these rounds.
My nephews live in Washington State. Seakhawks GM is, and has been, a complete stud who follow the Belicheat model and trades down routinely. Seattle has been a contender for a lot of years. Licht and Dominick have been complete busts (draft term) and shockingly, the Bucs have sucked for more than a decade!!!

  721. Tut Says:

We could trade down with Miami for them to get Lock ahead of Denver.

  722. Joeypoppems Says:

If the Bucs draft Jaylon Ferguson tonight at all something is gonna beak in my house lmao
