Bucs, Jackson On “Same Page”

March 11th, 2019

“Get me outta here.”

It seems malcontent wide receiver DeSean Jackson and the braintrust of the Bucs agree on one thing.

And that should be that Jackson should never again wear a Bucs uniform.

That’s the word from uber-NFL insider Josina Anderson of BSPN. She reported this morning that Jackson and the Bucs have been in been speaking directly in the recent hours and days and it appears both sides believe the Bucs are better off with Jackson infecting someone else’s locker room.

So now the waiting game is in full-blast. Where will DJax end up and how much can Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht be able to thieve from another team? Last year Licht was on a hot streak lifting Jason Pierre-Paul from the Giants for a measly third-round pick.

Joe thinks it would be delicious if Jackson was reunited with his personal thorn-in-the-side, offensive coordinator Todd Monken in Cleveland. That would be Jackson’s real-life version of hell on earth, some of the worst weather in the continental-48 states and a coach who will ride his arse so much it will prompt him to destroy a Christmas display.

Send him to oakland with the other Divas and watch a nuclear meltdown occur by midseason……….

that would be hilarious to watch

  2. Joeypoppems Says:

I wouldnt expect more than a 5th as compensation. Anything is better than just cutting him

  3. Bobby M. Says:

He’s going to be making $10million….and in a contract year. Guessing wherever he ends up, he’ll be quiet and productive. He knows these are his last yrs to cash in some sizeable checks. In Tampa, he knew more then others wanted to admit, that his stats would suffer with Winston. Business wise it was smart for him to want to go elsewhere….Bad stats equal, less cash in the next deal. It was dumb for Licht not to pull the trigger and get a pick for him, get him off the books and work on solidifying the roster in other places with the new money. Instead, now we sit with little bargaining power, a cap crunch, hoping to get anything….Dumb.

Eagles are getting some steam now.

He would have to agree and likely restructure. They could Add a year and change per year amount. Maybe gurantee that same 10-11 just over 2 years? …cause they have cap issues.

  5. Bird Says:

He has a chance to win super bowl in philly so he would do deal there for sure. And he liked his time there.

I think the AB thing is definitely something d jack envied and would try without hesitation if they can’t find a trade partner. His agent is going to tell him to get vocal and force the team to cut him rather than go to a cold weather state. Bucs are not in a position of power after this weekend imo

Watch Fitz and Djax go to the same team and light it up…and Light should be fired for a bad team not having piles of cash available !!!

Yet another bad idea by Jason Licht……

    @Joe

A question…I may be mistaken. If DJAX is traded that means another team eats his 10 million contract correct?

If he is cut then it’s open season and another team may get him for less?

Is that right? If it is DJAX should have been motivated to go along with the Bucs ruse at Indy and acted as if he was fine remaining with the Bucs. Of course he’s already earned around 50 million over his career so money should not be the primary consideration. Unless he’s blown it on too many Bentleys and too much bling.

Unless Bucs rework his contract, yes.

That’s why Jackson wants a trade so bad. He knows no one outside of Chucky will pay him $10 million if he is cut.

  11. miken Says:

Of course djax is on the same page as bucs…. the only way he is making 10 million next year is if someone takes his current contract. No one will and he will be cut

  12. Buc4evr Says:

Yeah send him to Chucky. Lol.

  13. Couch Fan Says:

Just cut the loser already. Nobody is going to trade for this Dbag when the whole world can see that we are going to cut his lazy whiney self. Good riddance.

  14. Etzel Says:

Dijon is older and nowhere near the talent of AB. Just cut him. The rest of the league knows he wants out, and they know we want rid of him. All we are doing is making ourselves look stupid.

That being said, I’d be ecstatic if we landed a 5th out of this… just do not have a very positive outlook that will happen.

  15. Tony LA Says:

Get a 4th and you win.
Get a 3rd and you hit the lottery.
    Get a 5th and we’ll call it a draw.

    Buh-Bye.

Bobby M you are correct !!! 10 mil is nothing for a team needing a deep threat D Jax makes offenses go talent wise !!! Drewhaus would get a 2 Nd rounder for him in one days time , he is the best deep threat in the history of the nfl and a top 3 punt returner if your coach and GM aren’t complete bitches !!! He would have jogged past 1100 yards if Big Ben was his QB. Not bashing Winston but he was beyond terrible with Jackson. Do you really think Jackson’s financial advisor / business manager would allow him to play with Winston ? I mean really , not would anyone on this site if they got 5 percent of Jackson’s future earnings !!!

Btw Antonio Brown May end up with a qb that gets him the ball better but my money is he’s going to learn different !!

This Just In 😂Licht is so riding Bruce’s coat tail to save his arsssss it’s comical !!!

  18. Stu Says:

    7th if they’re lucky…

  19. ncbucsfan Says:

Randy Moss is by far and away the best deep threat of all time and it ain’t even close. Djax had a high average for a while. Thats about it. I think Tyreek Hill is a better deep threat for that matter. Smh!

Trade for a bruiser running back for Mesean
