DJax Not Happy With Allegations

November 5th, 2018

Irked by rumors.

There are people who believe Bucs star receiver DeSean Jackson has purposely divided the Bucs locker room and in the process has Pearl Harbored the career of America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.

Joe isn’t in the locker room all the time as the only access granted the pen and mic club is three 45-minute periods each week, plus after games. So there is no way of knowing if these rumors of Jackson has tearing up the locker room are valid without a player outright spilling the beans.

The rumors are out there, though. And it seems Jackson is fed up with being painted as a villain, so he took to Twitter after the Panthers loss yesterday to deny he’s a clubhouse lawyer.

@DeSeanJackson11: Everybody got opinions about me diving [sic] the locker room & talking crazy!! Y’all must don’t know football watch the film I get open. Trust that .. y’all crazy as hell … I said what I said & meant it .. I know what I bring to the table and my teammates know the same !! Ima team player and love to win !! State facts not bullsh!t … period

Here is what Joe knows:

1. Jackson did go on FS1 early this season and say that unless Bucs journeyman backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick demonstrates he shouldn’t be starting, he should start.

2. Jackson asked for a trade. Neither the Bucs nor Jackson’s mother have denied this NFL Network report publicly, despite numerous opportunities. Remember the report last year from the same NFL Network reporter who claimed there was rancor between Bucs Bit-O-Honey snacking coach Dirk Koetter and Jameis? The Bucs angrily reacted to that report and immediately shot it down. They did nothing of the sort on the Jackson report.

3. Jackson has professed his love for the Tampa Bay area both on his podcast and through his mother’s voice on Twitter.

Again, Joe has no idea how torn apart the locker room is, if it is at all. And Joe has no firm information if Jackson is a clubhouse lawyer working behind the scenes to get what he wants through influence and charm.

Apparently, Jackson is upset enough with this talk of him being the bad guy in the locker room to sound off on Twitter about it.

Looked like he had poor effort on that Fitz overthrow. Also could’ve broken up that pass on the Fitz underthrow that was intercepted.

  2. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Koetter looks like is calling the plays again..so naturally he will punish DJax..

Get rid of Koetter and let him take the fruitcake Jameis with him…

  3. JimmyJack Says:

I have been keeping track and you fans literally blame Dirk for any bad play-calling and credit Monk for any good ones.

I might be the one with six cups of whiskey in me but y’all are totally delusional.

  4. DB55 Says:

    A hit dog will holler.

All I know is djax has been shut down by 2 rookies in the past 3 weeks, ward and Jackson. But wtfdik.

  5. Erik w/ Clean Athletics Says:

Anyone who says anything negative about DJax in regard to the Buccaneers’ gameday situation is out of their minds.

He is absolutely one of our best players, on and off the field; on gamedays and throughout the week…

He has executed his duties with great efficiacy and he has admirably hung in there when he has been so immensely UNDERUTILIZED bcuz of poor QB play.

DJax, please forgive these ignorant fools who bash you.

  6. Darin Says:

All this sheet is on Koetter. The guy has no sense of the word team. We hear about this every year. I dont believe in coincidences either. I wish they Glazers would fire a coach in season for once. I do not care who they fill his spot with either. Improvement will come. Still cant believe they won the first 2 games. Cmon Glazers fire the guy.

  7. Firrrreee Licht Says:

    MeSean Jackson…. lol whatever dude.

  8. Fred W Mcneil Says:

Djax won’t be here next year and a good portion of the online and most of the defence will be gone too. Dirk the jerk will be gone first.

  9. Fred W Mcneil Says:

Who can we get for a coach?

  10. Pete I Says:

Good for DJAX, he simply exposed another of Winston’s many flaws, he is weak mentally and can’t handle a huddle or a locker room like a man. Can’t be a QB at this level and be that fragile mentally. Winston is mediocre at every QB task, on and off the field.

  11. GrafikDetail Says:

did he delete the original tweet or are you ad libbing ? the tweet i saw didn’t say all that…

  12. D-Rome Says:

The only person who Pearl Harbored South America’s Backup Quarterback Jay-Miss WinsTOn, is Jay-Miss.

  13. adam from ny Says:

yeah but you never reported the locker room havoc that happened last week after the loss, all the yelling and cursing when the locker room was shut down and mics were cut off the bucs radio network…report the real deal joe – then go from there…you really can’t talk like this and skip over the in house ruckus that happened after the bengals loss…speak on it broheim

  14. adam from ny Says:

this season has become a full on soap opera…might as well leave nothing out joe…

you know jpp’s done about had it, and is about to blow his top too…

the original infrastructure and foundation of this team is a joke…soft with no leadership…that’s why guys like djax, jpp, jensen and others who just pop on the scene take over in a heartbeat…and that’s actually a good thing – since guys like marpet wanna play with mini banjos and mccoy with the comic bat cave type ish…

welcome to the fun bunch – dysfunctional nation…guys like djax, jpp, jensen aren’t used to this – let’s see who blows their stack with another loss or two –

and the schedule is softening up now, so to reel off a glob of wins – this is it – do or die time now…

  15. adam from ny Says:

man…sapp was such a beast back in the day…he backboned this organization for those great years – and made the league fear the bucs – he’s still crazy to this day – love that guy!

  16. isrBuc Says:

Djax was right all along. He was pissed they put in winston and rightfully so. this team is now 5-3 had they kept playing fitz. Djax don’t and shouldn’t care for winston or anyone else. he wants to win and wants the best players to play. fitz played the toughest teams and would have beat ATL and CIN for sure.

  17. adam from ny Says:

after we kinda caught the league sleeping the first couple of weeks…we are an incredible 1-5…with our lone win an OT strugle to beat the browns…

it takes about 2-3 weeks into a season before the cobwebs come off…now we’re all up in the meat and potatoes of the season and we’re layin’ nothing but eggs…

  18. Jean Lafitte Says:

more manufactured drama …seems the mic and pen club are not happy unless they can stir the pot. I guess there’s more money made when you can divide a fanbase, and a locker room. This is how the media starts their campaign to have regimes fired. I’m sure it want be long before we see hateful billboards on I-275 again.

  19. Firrrreee Licht Says:

Joe gets paid on page views. Why not stir the pot? Joes sit back and report while riled up fans including myself try to reason with unreasonable people. It’s fun for me too, because I’m a Jameis fan and get to stir the pot with my Famous Jameis positivity! Where’s my check Joe?

  20. Alanbucsfan Says:

Why do the Bucs fall behind by 20 points to start every game?
Are they being outcoached? Out prepared?
Then they catch up and make it interesting by the 4th qtr, only to fall short.
My guess is Bucs coaches are good at making adjustments for a desperate team that is way behind, but when the game is close at the beginning and end – they are lost.

  21. Lightningthunder Says:

The d sucks. The kicking game is unreliable. And we have no running game. The d is giving up an average of something like 34 points a game and that is all in the 1st half. The offense is averaging 28 points a game. Surprising we have won any games. The other teams are sitting on it half they get such a big lead. Prevent defense (nickel and dime packages). Bucs can then get all the yards and stats they can. When the game comes down to 1-2 possessions they stomp us.

  22. thee good ol'e days Says:

the team the management has built, really is soft, underachieving, and uninspired

  23. Grt1 Says:

Maybe it’s not the players maybe it’s the coaches

  24. El Buco Realisto Says:

    @joe

The “real” fans have read your “here is what Joe knows” and they all point to JW3 being the reasons of the divide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GO Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Bird Says:

    Db$$

You are my favorite poster here

I mean you literally rip into everyone and everything bucs…
Except Jameis. Better not touch him. “Your my boy blue” He has a warm place in your heart , doesn’t he ?

Classic you man. You be you man.

I wonder – Are you actually Jameis. Or are you really “obsessive joe.” Just curious. Bwtfdik?

  26. SchwiftyBuc Says:

    El Buco Delusionisto

Boy you need to get on down the road. Need you be reminded of your undying support for the worst DC in football? Or your undying support for this sub par coaching staff that will literally never come close to smelling a superbowl?

The “real” fans can see that the “real” biggest problem with this team falls on the coaches. Except you.

  27. Bird Says:

This is your last chance. You need to stop making false claims about Joe’s writing. Thank you. –Joe

  28. Kevin Says:

Ah so diving means divided? Lol I really didn’t understand that tweet. Thought he stormed into the lockerroom early or something.

  29. Bird Says:

    Joe.

I jut read the article again. I stand by my comment ; and it’s clear as day.

Do what you need to do.

    Adios

  30. OneBuc55 Says:

Although the defense is not doing us any favors just a reminder for those who choose to ignore three of the losses are on Fitzpatrick just a reminder…

Has Jameis Had a Bad season? yes…is he responsible for this mess that we call a football team? no, that one’s on the coaching staff and front office… Winston didn’t even play yesterday yet people are still bringing his name up as if he lost the game yesterday…

  31. Bucs Fan #7423 Says:

Biggest thing dividing this teams is LOSING EMBARRASSINGLY. Starts with the GM, Head Coach, and QB. They all need to be fired and replaced

  32. Bobby M. Says:

The real dysfunction lies at the very top of this organization….The ownership structure, IMO, is what dilutes decision making. When you have multiple people with input/a vision, you end up with a collection of visions duct taped together trying to satisfy all parties. When the primary focus starts with net income to each owner, you can forget about having a contender in a small market team. The structure at the top is the issue….its the common denominator to all these years of losing and has been since the dad stepped down and Gruden was canned. The Glazer boys will never hire football person to develop a vision….that’s just extra expenses. They rarely will hire a candidate with credentials….prefer the cheaper coordinators looking for their first shot. Its the same broken, yet profitable, record over and over.

  33. DB55 Says:

    Bird

I have an awful habit of stating facts man. It sucks I know but ….

  34. Cobraboy Says:

“unless Bucs journeyman backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick”

    WTF?

Sorry, Joes, but losing badly is what divides lockerrooms.

The offense is fine sans Winston. DJax is fine. In fact, the comebacks the Bucs have made in games where the D laid down are impressive.

  35. SteelStudBuc Says:

Bucs journeyman backup is the starter
Jameis is not America’s Quarterback. Never was never will be.

  36. 813bucboi Says:

    time to clean house!!!!!!

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!….#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

  37. Dapostman Says:

If you don’t put the ball on DJax like a pillow his effort towards it is subpar. Sure he flashes speed like Sugar Ray Leonard in the last 30 seconds of a round but if the ball is not served on a plater he ain’t bending over to pick it up. It is what it is. Every other receiver actually makes an attempt at a pass that’s a little off. Except this guy.

  38. stpetebucsfan Says:

Are you guys reading comments here at JBF. Everything about the Bucs is divided right now! Losing does that!!! There is no need to find a clubhouse lawyer to blame…or JW…what IS to blame is the performance on the field….it’s embarrassing us all why would the locker room be any different. THEY are the ones now being viewed as a big group of sissies.

DJAX isn’t the one making them look cowardly, it’s their PLAY on the field!

  39. Issaic haggins Says:

    @ Eric w clean

I Agree you are spot on

  40. rrsrq Says:

Yesterday we saw what is supposed to happen when you shut down one or two of our other receivers, you still got Hump, OJ, Brate and Godwin, they are all needed. Don’t know why you would want to get rid of D-Jax, if he is not there, you think Hump has all those catches. Outside of OJ and ME, our best players are 2 players we did not draft, DJax if we had a qb to get him the ball consistently and JPP, but we are scared to go after impact players, Honeybadger, Clinton-Dix, Landon Collins or Eric Reid. Missed on draft picks that were available to help the backside, Derwin James, Don’te Jackson and Eric Reid’s brother Justin from Stanford.

  41. pick6 Says:

i think we are seeing what other WAS & PHI fan bases experienced before – that DJax is an electric player who seems to be divisive even when he is trying not to be. No doubt DeSean has a strong opinion about the QB situation and who knows how else it might be coming through. And yes, he’s probably doing what many WRs might do given the difference in his numbers between the 2 QBs, but when you add that to the losing it exacerbates already troubled team psyche. not what a team sitting at 1-5 over the last 6 weeks wants or needs

  42. gp Says:

I’m thinking that if an offer of a 3rd or 4th round pick came in for D-Jax on trade day he would’ve been gone.
    The offer didn’t come
His game tape showing an obvious lack of effort to “go to the ball” has cut his value drastically.
Who wants a locker room cancer DIVA who doesn’t even try

  43. Anonymous Says:

I can see why DJAx is upset. He is not utilized for his skills. Why don’t the Bucs use him on returns, or why not have designed running plays to use his speed on the edge? Why? IDK, but Koetter knows and he is to blame.

  44. Anonymous Says:

Maybe if the Bucs used Djax’s skills a little more he would not be unhappy. Why is he not returning punts/kicks? Why do we not use him on more runs?…….Coach Koetter?

  45. Bucs 14 Says:

I can understand DJax being upset. Koetter does not utilize his skills. Why isn’t DJax returning kicks/punts? Why are we not using his speed on edge runs?

  46. GrafikDetail Says:

@isrBuc is delusional 5-3 with Fitz? LOL team would be 4-4 with winston if the defense shows up in Atlanta… plus Matt Bryant nailing the 60 yarder was epic… gutsy call by the HC to go for it there… a miss and the Bucs can go for the win with a couple of 1st downs…

and stop whining about the QBs… that’s not the problem… this historically bad defense & coaching staff is why this season has gone down the drain… A. Rodgers is a MVP & 1st ballot HOF and hasn’t done better without a defense and running game
