Bucs and Dirk Koetter are 9-20 since their highest of highs.
It’s hard to lose with proficiency like the Bucs have displayed since their highest of highs in the post-Chucky era.
The Buccaneers’ five-game winning streak ended in December 2016, a run that pushed them to 8-5 and to the brink of something beautiful. And then it starting raining losses.
Our beloved Bucs, Dirk Koetter’s Bucs, are 9-20 since the streak.
They’ve lost with turnovers and penalties and historically bad defense, and via brutal special teams play that includes a lack of discipline on return teams. Throw in a circus show at quarterback, and it all adds up to a new head coach next season.
Now it’s just a matter of how Team Glazer manages the regime change. Team Glazer was on the field before the game at Giants Stadium talking to Jason Licht extensively and schmoozing with various important-looking people.
Joe doubts a move is made before the end of the season. But you just never know.

Bonzai – Dirk was holding the call sheet and talking a ton, that’s generally the sign he’s calling the plays. I know he said Monken would, but I think Dirk flaked out again and changed his mind.
In any case the offensive game plan wasn’t bad, they got a ton of yards, just the wrong QB was in there.

Aaron Rodger’s team is 4-5-1 and should be 4-6 if the Vikings pk could kick.
Matt Ryan’s team is 4-6.
Carson Wentz is 3-4.
Matt Stafford is 4-6.
All these QB’s have losing records and have better rosters than Tampa’s yet they are LOSING. Winston or Fitzpatrick will not lead a bad roster to the playoffs. Right now better QB’s than them are in the same boat.

I may be in the minority but I think we should stick with Dirk. Hire a real D-coordinator anf keep the offences continuity. With some damn defence we would be killing it. Dirk refused to replace Smith. Still believe it was the Glazers who forced him into it. He has said he doesn’t know what the problem is, doesn’t know how to fix it, Djax can decide if he wants to return kicks/ punts, doesn’t get involved with the defense, etc.etc. How many HCs would talk like that about their team? Players can decide what they want to do? Don’t get involved with the D? Kept Smith and all assistants when not ONE player on the field has been coached up in 3 years? He needs to go, Licht needs to go, most off the D and a few on the online. Just do it. Sooner the better. Start dressing Griffin for Gods sake! He buried Barber for two years too! Probably the most heart on this Sorry team. Griffin could be a HOF for all we know. JUST DO IT!

So looks like I’m commenter # 90 unless someone types faster and I don’t even care to read the article. Bucs are 3-7 and everyone from the front office to the coaches to the players on the field have 6 games left to prove their worthiness.
So please stop writing dead man walking $hit about the head coach, defense sucks (they do) and Licht needs to change the spelling of his last name to Lynch to match his fate.
Dammit, the season is NOT over and there is still a very small outside chance to have success this year to prove all naysayers (yeah, that’s you Joes) wrong. So many close games this year, a break here or there and this team would be right in the hunt for a wildcard spot. There’s plenty of time to have anyone affiliated with the team walk-the-plank in the offseason and yes, I”m just as frustrated as any Bucs fan should be, BUT THE SEASON IS NOT OVER YET! BTW, Koetter wasn’t the one who threw 2 UGLY passes that were intercepted, Fitz-Tragic was!
First he throws a jump ball in the end zone to the SHORTEST wideout on the team on a drive that should have ended in at least a field goal which is the exact amount of points they lost by, then he tries a side arm toss that is SO FAR OFF target that the defense plays patty cake with it and scores a TD!
Both plays led directly to the difference of winning and losing the game! If it’s ok to roast Koetter and JW non-stop, then Fitz-Tragic deserves his share of it too because once again, his turnovers cost the Bucs a game!

I think Koetter made (and hopefully will make for some other team) a fine offensive coordinator. He is, however, a bad head coach. When the Bucs had the league worst defense and he brought back the entire defensive staff (minus, I think, 1), I knew to lower my expectations for the season. How many players have stunk up the place only to have Koetter stick with them out of loyalty (“our guys are our guys”)? The man just doesn’t have the “stuff” to make the tough decisions and fire people who deserve to be fired. I’m convinced most, if not all, of the coaches/players that Dirk has let go were because he was prompted to do so by Licht or the Glazers. I think the Bucs can rebound quickly with new leadership (the new head coach will be inherited a DAMNED good offense). I think its worth considering the possibility that Jameis can be salvaged with a new voice in his ear. I’m a second-generation Bucs fan so I’m not going anywhere. I can play the long game.

First off you can’t give up 38 pts and expect to win. I know JW got lucky on the turnovers but lets wait & see what he does the rest of the season. As it stands now there is no way I would give him 20+ mil for 2019. The fact remains the Giants game was all but lost before JW even got on the field. As far as Licht & Koetter are concerned I think ones as bad as the other & both need to go.
